A great local company with good prices…
A great local company with good prices and a fantastic free delivery service - would thoroughly recommend Hurst, they are a traditional hardware store with such a huge range of goods and they also have a traditional high quality service ethos which is something you can rarely find anywhere these days

I am delighted with the Spear & Jackson garden spade I bought from Hurst to replace my ancient one which had broken. It was far cheaper than advertised by the ubiquitous online retailer which shares a name with a South American river and arrived extremely quickly and was very well packaged. Thank you!

Very poor experience
Very poor experience. The item I wanted to purchase was priced at £2.25 on the shelf but at the till I was charged £2.99 . The woman serving said she couldn’t alter it. I should have just walked away but I paid up and now feel very annoyed. It is the principle, not the actual money. Surely they could have honoured it on one occasion and then corrected the shelf price.
