I subscribed and I never got any number , but they took my money off my card and still ask I pay another money
scam

Have been using sine 2022, and obviously, not perfect but at-least speedy resolutions were there, but recently, I tried loggin in and forgot my password, and when I tried to contact support as i was not receiving password reset link. They said the email is not associated with any account. I sent all the previous invoices reflecting the email address, and shocked with this news, I kept emailing back and forth for hours and hours, and no assuring message was received. I never received any email that my email on the account is changed or something, nor did I change the email. Their support is way lazy, and live chat is nothing but AI respones.

Disgusting customer retention strategy and customer support service.

What I thought was an incredible app turned out to be a NIGHTMARE. they banned my account in the middle of the night with 0 explanation.

This happened after I reached out about a bug where my old messages were re-sending.

Banning your paying customers is disgusting, then referring them to your policy is even more disgusting. You are not Meta or Apple. Get off your high horse and explain yourself. Will make a YouTube video on the Hushed app and why you shouldn’t use it.

I was literally in the middle of a texting conversation when Hushed decided to terminate my app. They literally said nothing to me, no warning, so in the middle of my text conversation everything just stopped working. The only issue was that my app did not tell me it was no longer working so instead of being aware that my text were not going thru they just stopped. I tried to contact them about it and they said I broke the terms and contract, so I lost my money and the use of the app.

Brilliant, just what I needed, no one knows my location. great for anyones personal safety. Best used with a good VPN.

They terminated my account since I had been inactive for 6 months. Fine, it's in their ToS, my fault. However, it was not in their ToS when I subscribed, I checked with wayback machine, and I have since then received 0 communications from them via email. So they change terms behind your back, don't tell you, and when you don't notice they take away what you paid for. This is a scam.

On top of this, the customer support replied with copy-pasted nonsense that had nothing to do with my situation, then proceeded to terminate the chat out of nowhere. I had been nothing but cordial to then and was ghosted.

Avoid at all costs. This is a scam.

customer service sucks, the app sucks, everything sucks. Tried upgrading my account and the payment got stuck with apple. tried to refund and pay again so my account was locked for a refund. if 0 stars was an option i woulda picked it. I wanted to use Hushed for a second WhatsApp line for non-personal items. The line I was issued was not recognized by WhatsApp, and upon contacting support, they informed me that they did not guarantee that their numbers would work with third party programs (such as WhatsApp) therefore they would not help. Do not recommend! There is no guarantee it will work for WhatsApp.

Got the lifetime package. It is fine if you read the details and follow the rules. Sound quality is good and app works well.

I purchased the AloSim 20gb esim for 30 days, with bonus 30 minutes international calls and texts with Hushed. The eSIM was great with no problems in setting up or using it. The Hushed bonus is a big scam… after sending two texts I was told my 30 mins free bonus was up. I bought this eSIM because of the added bonus and would have bought other good esims if it wasn’t for this added bonus. I have a 88 year old uncle who only knows how to answer his phone through his number and has no WhatsApp or Messenger or access to phone calls via data such as these. The support service through Hushed Chat and email was appalling, where a rep would close the chat down they felt like it, and waiting for an email reply was two to three days with me following up in between. I wasted valuable holiday time. Hushed ended up giving me a $2.00 credit to use, but I didn’t bother as after one text it would be gone anyway.
If you use AloSIM buy it for the eSIM only and not because of the Hushed bonus.
I wouldn’t ever have faith in Hushed again.

Why I can't download this app

worst support ever.

1. Blocked my number for no reason whatsoever, which i used for pretty much everything, banks, etc.. Now i'm logged out.

2. Made a purchase on Play Store for a new number and right after i had just paid (willing to show bank statements) It said "Purchas Interrupted"

I messaged support about all of this & i have been ignored for days, also their app is terrible, you need to be on the app for support otherwise they'll close your ticket, you also won't receive any notification once support has responded (thats if they do) not even an email.

Terrible company, terrible support, Will never ever buy again & 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND

USELESS PEOPLE, JUST TRY ANOTHER WAY BUT NOT HUSHED.

I subscribed to the Hushed App's monthly service because they advertised it as a mobile number that works for WhatsApp. Unfortunately, I found out that it's not a real mobile number but a VoIP. This means it doesn't work with WhatsApp as advertised.

I asked for a refund, but they keep insisting that Hushed phone numbers are NOT guaranteed to work with WhatsApp. I'm disappointed because the service didn't meet my expectations and their customer service was unhelpful.

Do not subscribe.

Zero customer service. The company arbitrarily discontinues numbers causing a myriad of problems for the user. No substantive explanations ever given. Highly unethical, no business person should ever use hushed phone.

Company reinstated the account. No company should ever arbitrarily remove a utility without due process unless someone is in imminent danger. With power comes responsibility, tech companies in general have become tyrannical as we have seen repeatedly with facebook and other social media companies. Companies should understand people have options and will use them. Elon Musk has shown that integrity can be restored

I've been using hushed for 2 years now with a US number. I travel a lot and hushed always works with wireless or wifi data connection. The annual plan is a steal! Quality of support has been prompt without any issues. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Try it for yourself with a monthly plan and then upgrade to annual if you like it. The rates for unlimited talk and text are unbeatable!

The only missing feature is group text but besides that, Hushed just works!

This company is a scam. Stay away

In December 2023, I subscribed to a one-year unlimited plan with Hushed and have used the service for occasional texts and calls. Recently, I encountered an issue accessing my account as the app did not recognize my Gmail login. Attempts to reset my password were unsuccessful, as I did not receive any response.

I contacted Hushed's support team for assistance, but there was confusion regarding the validity of my account and the associated email address. Despite providing the initial welcome email and clarifying the email address discrepancies (Gmail vs. Googlemail), the resolution process has been lengthy and unsatisfactory. After 15 emails and interactions with multiple customer service representatives, I was informed that my account was indefinitely suspended for allegedly violating the Terms of Service. This suspension occurred prior to the email discussions.

The abrupt suspension without prior notification has adversely affected my business communications. I have responded to the notice and requested an explanation, but the issue remains unresolved. This experience, along with similar user reports, raises concerns about the reliability of Hushed's services.

I have requested a thorough investigation and a prompt resolution. Clear communication and reliable support from Hushed are essential to avoid significant inconvenience to users.

Hushed responded, indicating that their service is intended for personal use, not business use. However, their website advertises the service as suitable for business purposes, stating: "For as little as $4.99 per month, you can call and text as much as you want. This is a great option regardless of your needs, but it’s especially useful for a business number."

Despite using the number solely for client appointment notifications, Hushed has not provided a clear explanation and has directed me to request a refund from iTunes. After four emails, iTunes responded that the refund request was evaluated and determined ineligible per their refund policy.

**Recommendation:**
To avoid similar issues, I recommend purchasing a cheap phone and a SIM-only plan with unlimited calls and texts. This approach is cost-effective and reliable, eliminating the need for potentially problematic app-based services.

It is crucial for businesses to ensure reliable communication services to prevent potential losses, as evidenced by my experience. I hope this information helps others consider all options when seeking a second line for business purposes.

Update post reply: I'm now requesting Hush to email me the details as per their reply here to advise Apple regarding a refund due to incorrect marketing which lead to the purchase.

Anyone who wants to use this service should not use it without reading this, they closed my account that I have been using for 2 years because of other accounts that violated their terms of use, they said we closed yours because of other accounts that violated our rules, and they caused me to lose 20,000 dollars because I could not access my Amazon account. I have repeatedly documented and explained that I have no connection, but they have not been understanding in any way, I have not made a phone call even once in 2 years, I only used sms 1-2 times a month for my Amazon seller account.
