I was very curious to try their product as their marketing team did a good job with their website. It’s a good idea to have a compostable cat litter, good for the environment etc but in reality it doesn’t work. First of all, it’s very lightweight, my cat has turned the litter box upside down trying to use it, second of all it looks like dirt and it leaves a lot of mess around, you can’t even scoop out the poop because you can’t see it as it blends with the colour and texture of the litter. It doesn’t absorb moisture as well as they advertise it on their website, and it definitely doesn’t lock in the odours.
When my cat pees all the urine stays at the bottom of the box and doesn’t absorb. It’s been only one day since my cat started using it and the smell is absolutely diabolical, it’s eye-watering! The instruction says one brick is enough for a week, I can’t imagine what it would smell like a week later! Besides, it costs £18! I’m gonna have to throw it all out together with the remaining unused bricks and go back to using clay litter. Never buying this again. It’s a waste of your energy and money, an absolute disappointment.

This product is brilliant. My cats really like it, I can bag solids after use then compost the litter and it's so light. The company is a delight to deal with, I had some questions about the litter and how to introduce it to my cats and their advice made the transition seamless

As another reviewer mentioned, the ammonia smell is unbearable. I had to change it every day. Also the husk is the same colour as faeces , so makes it challenging to find them. I am going back to wood pellets as huskaloo is not a viable solution for me. It's a shame as the company was reliable.

Claims to be good for up to a week but the stench of ammonia was so bad after just 2 days. Thought I would get at least a month out of it but I'm already 4 blocks in and having to spend out on the expensive heavy bags again. Definitely doesn't do what it claims
