These cowboys have been involved in the chain for my sale and purchase.

They refuse to communicate to the other conveyancers in the chain, have spent over a month replying to simple emails asking them to confirm receipt.

The whole process is now into its sixth month with their client, myself and the other person in the chain (along with our conveyors) left in the dark with no communication, no confirmation as to what are the delays etc, and now are heading into the 7th month with no communication from them

Update, it’s taken them 3 weeks to work out their client had emailed the signed contracts etc rather than send the originals by post…. My 7 year old nephew can tell difference between receiving and email and relieving something by post.

I cannot recommend Ahmet Uzunoglu & team highly enough. I came to Hutchins & Co in circumstances that were far from straightforward switching firms mid-process on a property purchase that involved a complex AML and source of funds investigation. It would have been easy for things to unravel at that stage, but Ahmet took over with calm, quiet competence and made the transition feel entirely seamless.

Having previously worked with Salem on the sale of our flat in 2025, we had absolute trust in his abilities and had no hesitation in contacting him again for our recent home sale and purchase. Once again, he did an amazing job. Salem is calm, methodical, and incredibly responsive—always answering emails and calls in a timely fashion. Moving house can be an incredibly stressful process, but having Salem on our team made everything so much more manageable. We are incredibly grateful for all his hard work and highly recommend him!

I would strongly advise caution before using Hutchins & Co for conveyancing.

While my purchase completed before the SDLT deadline, the post-completion handling has been extremely poor and is still causing issues many months later.

Communication throughout the transaction was frustrating from the outset. Emails often went unanswered for long periods, it was very difficult to get hold of the assigned case handler by phone, and when contact was made I was frequently told to email instead — only for those emails to go unanswered as well. At times, correspondence was being sent late at night around 10–11pm.

After completion, I received HMRC correspondence relating to a missed SDLT submission despite being assured the matter would be dealt with. The firm later paid the penalty themselves, effectively acknowledging the error.

The most concerning part has been the ongoing post-completion and registration issues. Nearly a year after completion, I am still dealing with unresolved management company registration problems. Fees were omitted from completion statements, and during a previous complaint review I was expressly told that no further post-completion payments were outstanding. Months later, additional unresolved estate management issues and possible fees have now surfaced.

The matter has been escalated to the Legal Ombudsman due to the firm failing to properly respond to my original complaint within the required timeframe.

Overall, my experience has been one of poor communication, rushed handling, lack of clarity regarding post-completion requirements, and ongoing uncertainty long after completion should have been finalised.

Helpful and quick service, nice and friendly and answered all queries swiftly, brilliant.

After a difficult start Deniz and Aliosman picked up my case and their hard work, dedication and some long hours more than made up for it - with as a quick resolution as possible given delays by other third parties. Very proactive with my constant email and chasing which was really appreciated. Thank you guys for a job well done.
