Charged full price for unrequested and undelivered service. See update….after multiple attempts, HUX FINALLY agreed to their terms of a partial refund for undelivered service.

Cleaner showed up at my door unexpectedly, and was turned away because we did not request service. Hux charged me $218 (which is high for a 2 bedroom house), and refused to honor their terms of providing a refund for service not provided. I have contacted them 3-4 times by email, requesting resolution. They said they would resolve...........never happened. Also, THEY HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER YOU CAN CALL FOR PROBLEM RESOLUTION. If they resolve, I will repost resolution. Beware.
UPDATE, after multiple attempts to resolve, HUX has finally agreed to honor their terms of a partial refund.

They increased their fee and charged us without notification

We scheduled to have a cleaner come and clean with the expectation of a fee of 113. All of our needs were within the expectations but the cleaner decided to add 2 more hours to the service. The company changed our flat rate to am hourly rate and imcrease the charge without contacting us or asking us permission to proceed with the change. They do not have a support phone number to directly speak with them either.

Worse company - with constant cancellations,

ALL the providers who were confirmed to come to our home - at 4 so far - have CANCALLED either a day before the service date or just at the time they were supposed to arrive,
The very last one - Artinique - has not even notify us nor did the company.
The company- HUX -- has issued an apology and a future credit, however it's not what we needed.
The fact that there is NO way to even put comment under the name of the provider to let others know how bad they are, because once they initiate the cancelation - we the customers can not make the comment. HUX blocks it to cover up their BAD providers. It's another bad sign of this company.
If I could - I would rate them a minus 1.

Don't recommend

The GOOD (G): (1G) The website is easy to use. (2G) the cleaner showed up early, (3G) the cleaner sent pics as requested. THE BAD (B): (1B) The cleaner did not communicate when she should have and that caused big issues that could have easily been avoided with a simple conversation via phone or via text, (2B) $55/hour for an individual cleaner is outrageous, (3B) especially for the work performed, which the realtor mentioned was subpar. STEER CLEAR of "Light Cleaning": They don't really do anything. Maybe this particular cleaner would have cleaned better if someone had been there?

An absolute nightmare

Hux.com used to specialize in housecleaning services. They were the Uber of housecleaning, but have now spread themselves thin by taking on handyman services and other fields. I had a regular housekeeper for some time in 2016-17, but then did not need their services for a few years. Before moving this month, I decided to hire a housekeeper to prepare my new home for move in. I went to Hux.com because service with my previous provider was excellent, and the Hux website is convenient and easy to use. Unfortunately, Hux.com is not what it used to be though. I booked a provider, explained that service would need to be complete by a certain time because movers would arrive to unload the truck with my possessions. I assumed everything was ok because I received no communication from Hux or the provider. Just a text saying that she would be late and a text when she arrived. Upon arriving at the property, I discovered the provider was not finished cleaning. No problem. I asked her to move her car so the movers could pull the truck in. She refused. Then she became irrate and said she could not continue to clean if other contractors were present. I asked her to stay and finish the job. She refused and mouthed off on her way out. She then sat in my driveway for ten minutes while the movers stared her down, waiting to back the truck in. She eventually peeled out in her car, nearly taking mailboxes and light posts with her. I thought she was going to crash into one of the houses. She may or may not have been high on an illicit substance.

That morning (a Saturday) I reported the incident to Hux and requested that the provider be blocked from accessing my personal information. She had my door code. I also asked for a refund. The cleaning was only about 30% finished when the provider lost her cool and left. Hux took three days - despite my insistence that the provider posed a safety concern (I believe she may return uninvited due to her erratic behavior) - to get back with me. They sided with the crazy housekeeper who didn't even clean my home over me, a loyal customer. Hux was patronizing in their communication and offered little in the way of compensation for the inconvenience. I posted a review of the provider to warn others of her behavior, but Hux took the review down. The company is less than ethical, I would look elsewhere to hire a housekeeper or handyman so you don't end up in the situation I am - paying for a service you never received, and added stress on the day of your move.

Unreliable- 3 times your out!

I have had good experiences- but reliability is a mag or issue. On 3 occasions I have had last minute cancelations. I do a lot of work to prepare ahead of time, pay to board my dogs, and am often in planning to entertain that evening so I’m counting on them showing up. I e never had this problem with any other service provider I have used. Then to offer me 10.00 off! Ridiculous!

I found the service believing the…

I found the service believing the hype—that HUX.com “was LEGIT” and actually screened/did a good job making sure that the people they let into your home are professionals—THEY ARE NOT!

Their management is subversive and many people on their site apparently use alias’. Some of their contractors/subcontractors are non-documented, others even have Criminal records. (Including SEX OFFENDERS)! They will ultimately take no accountability nor have any liability should something go WRONG in your home! STAY AWAY!!! HUX.com is run by HUCKSTERS!

Beware! Quality/Customer Service Issues

Hux was recommended to me by a friend who had a good experience with a one time cleaning. The website is super easy to navigate and made scheduling a breeze. Unfortunately, like other reviewers, the quality of the cleaner I received was subpar. I paid extra to have my oven cleaned and it did not happen. The cleaner also used a steam cleaner on my wood floors and caused damage. Unfortunately, when I reported this to the company they refused to accept my damage claim citing that I did not let them know within their 48 hour timeframe. A couple things about this. This 48 hour timeframe is not explicitly stated. You have to search for it. Also, I contacted them after 48 hours about my oven not being cleaned and they refunded me for that. Why would a company choose to bend the rules for one thing but not the other? Because this company is not client centered and doesn't want to pay for their mistake. This is shown by the quality of the cleaners they promote and the fact that they would rather avoid a damage claim than to address what happened. The cleaner was way more apologetic about what happened than the actual company. Also, note, there is no actual phone number to contact them, only email. Again, the fact that you have to wait for a response via email is problematic.

What makes all this even more despicable is that I just had a baby. I booked the service as a first time customer from the hospital and trusted that the work would be quality and that my house would be in great hands. This was not the case. I came home with a newborn baby and because my time and attention was there I am being penalized for damage made by the cleaner. This company made a choice to turn its head to this situation. To ignore my life circumstance and the negligence of your service provider. This is a terrible way to treat your client's especially when you know it happened. No one should have to hire a cleaner from the hospital, come home with a new baby and then find out a service was not provided and furthermore there is permanent damage done to their home. Shame on you.

Its the best cleaning bro

I have stubbornly cleaned my own house for years and used to be hesitant that a house cleaner would even be worth anything to me. I say "used to be" because Hux has changed my opinion on that. When I came home after my first Hux service I found that my cleaning person had cleaned every surface in my house– my sliding glass doors, porch handrails, mirrors, and organized stuff on my counters like fruits and girlfriend's bathroom clutter. I always thought I was "good enough" but Hux is better. The website is also amazing, as in its as easy as Uber to use. You can enter your house info and it will calculate live prices for all providers, which is another great thing because you can actually pick your cleaner. That's actually the best part. If you think about it it must be hard to do that, logistically speaking. But it's such a great perk.
