Updated: Unhappy Customer - Please Read Before You Purchase This Product

Update to my review below: Customer service was very helpful and sent me new boards. They also sent me additional mounts (which I highly recommend you get in your orders, three for each board you hang). The boards are hanging up nicely now and haven't fallen. It only has been a month though but they did do a good job making sure I was a happy customer.

I waited to give this review because I generally do not like to leave any negative reviews but it's been seven days since I reached out to customer service and I still haven't received an acknowledgment. I purchased three of the acrylic skateboards October of last year. I hung them up on my walls based on the instructions and was happy with my purchase. Unfortunately four months later, the adhesive that I attached to the skateboards did not hold and two of my skateboards fell off the wall and were chipped. Upon them falling off I had to put on a new adhesive (gorilla tape) and it held for the time being. I reached out to customer service for the following: asked them if I could buy another ghost mount from them since one of mine broke when it fell off the wall, is there anything they can do when someones product falls off the wall and is damaged and if they feel confident the the other adhesive would stick since the other skateboard that did not fall off hangs above my work station. I still have not received a response and it's been seven days since I sent my email. For a company that says they believe in 100% customer satisfaction and a response to your email within 48 hours, this is pretty sad. I personally wanted to buy one of their products to hang above my bed frame but now am very hesitant to do so. If you want to buy this product, most of the positive reviews seem to be based on recent purchases (I was emailed a week after I bought my products to rate my experience) and not their experience months after their purchase. Again, I did not want to leave a negative review but it's pretty messed up when a company says they are about 100% satisfaction and don't even respond to you after you email them wanting to work it out. Additionally, their product is not cheap and online they show them hanging on top of people's bed frames. Just a warning to be hesitant to do so based on my experience.

I still have not received my delivery

I still have not received my delivery. Your courier keeps claiming they have attempted delivery but they don’t
I reschedule for certain days they don’t turn up again

Update
The package has now been delivered, albeit very late. The boards do look great

Poor customer service & product

This review would have been more then 1 star if it wasn’t for the misleading and terrible communication level of customer service with updates that made the whole matter worse then it needed to be.

I’m fully aware being a UK citizen that changes where afoot, though with a free trade agreement with the EU it was a shock to be issued with a customs charge of £48.00 on a £110 order, this makes the whole order outrageous in price for a piece of ‘Acrylic Glass’.

The order was made late December, with Hylus’s terms and conditions stating the expect delivery’s within 5-10 days. With a maximum of 30 days without force Mejeure, the delivery arrived on the 32nd day from ordering....

At no stage did Hylus keep me informed about any delay in the order being sent out, in fact on myself emailing asking for an update they promised a date it’s would be sent out which failed to happen. It was sent out a week later after this confirmation without again any apology or update.

The product itself for the money paid plus the custom charge issued really is substandard, If ordering from the UK i would do research and find a company domestically who can do the job much cheaper.

We apologise for the slightly longer dispatch time - unfortunately as you say, we were hit with a Force Majeure event, as UPS blocked all inbound packages to the UK at the beginning of January.
We have had a notice put in all our product descriptions on our website, from early January, as soon as we became aware of this issue. I can see that you’ve made your order on Dec 28, so unfortunately at that time this wasn’t posted.

We have already shipped your item earlier, with a complimentary upgrade to UPS Express to make sure it got to you as soon as possible.
