THE WORST online ordering experience I have EVER had
Ordered 2 pairs of sweats for my friend’s birthday — we do matching sets every year. This year was special because we competed in our first HYROX event, so I was genuinely excited about this gift.
I ordered size S first, which arrived fine (a bit slow — over 7 days), but delivery itself was smooth through their third-party carrier (Uni Uni). Based on fit, I immediately ordered two size M so I could compare before gifting.
This is where everything fell apart.
The M package was supposed to arrive the Tuesday before her Saturday birthday. Tuesday comes — failed delivery, marked “return to warehouse.” Same exact address and delivery setup as the week prior. No explanation.
I try contacting customer service — no real support, just bots and zero answers. I call — stuck in loops. I email multiple times — no response. Tracking then says “out for delivery” Thursday and Friday… nothing shows up. No updates. No ETA.
Birthday comes, no gift.
Neither Uni Uni nor HYROX followed up. HYROX said they’d “reach out” to the carrier — and then completely ghosted me. As far as they knew, the package was still missing.
It randomly shows up Sunday afternoon — late and completely useless at that point.
At this stage I almost returned everything out of frustration.
Then comes the return process:
I return both size S sets in ONE package, using ONE return label — and still had to pay $14 in postage (on a $170+ item… seriously?). Weeks go by — no updates. I reach out and get generic “please wait longer” responses.
Finally, I get confirmation the return was processed… but only ONE item was refunded.
Both were in the same box.
Now I’m being asked to provide a postage receipt as “proof.” Proof of what exactly? That I shipped the package you already confirmed receiving?
This entire experience has been exhausting, disorganized, and incredibly frustrating. Between unreliable shipping, nonexistent customer service, and a messy return/refund process — this was way more effort than it should ever be for a basic order.

After being asked for proof, I reformatted the photo to a PDF under 3MB like requested — and was then told it still wasn’t showing on their end. I asked if I could email it instead since clearly their messaging platform isn’t working… no response. At this point, it’s honestly laughable.

Really infuriating, especially for a brand tied to such a strong fitness community.
I will NEVER order from them again. And truthfully, this experience alone makes me reconsider ever competing in HYROX again. If you’re going to charge premium prices, then your customer service, systems, and overall experience BETTER match that, not fall apart at every single step.
Scam.conpany shitty communication
I will never order from this company again. We placed order number 737987438 and it was delivered fairly quickly to the Netherlands. I live in Spain and it was a gift for my daughter. We needed to return some items, but no matter what we tried, it did not work because the system would not accept the order number. Eventually we went through a lot of effort to reach customer service, because you have to keep logging into your account and it takes a long time before they respond.
Since the return could not be initiated through the order number, we were given a different QR code. We sent everything back properly.
However, we are not receiving our refund. We have the PDF with the QR code and we have the proof of shipment. Every time I ask about the refund, and I can see that the package was delivered to them on March 4th, they ask me to upload the proof of shipment. I do that, then it takes another two days. When I ask again, a different colleague asks me to upload the proof of shipment again.
This has been going on for two weeks now. I will never order here again, because they simply do not process refunds.

Overpriced nonsense
£254 for a doubles ticket that can’t be refunded for Glasgow. Then get a start time of 4.40pm on a Sunday evening! £14 of the ticket price was for an admin fee which seems excessive. They’re obviously selling far too many tickets to milk as much money as possible. Won’t be signing up again
Event starts at 7:30 pm terrible
Charity tickets scam
My purchase was a mistake and I contacted them almost immediately after noticing the error 2 MONTHS BEFORE OF THE COMPETITION. I have acted in good faith, provided the required information, and followed every step indicated, yet I have not received a concrete solution.
I respectfully request a definitive resolution — either a correction of the registration/ticket category or a refund. It is very frustrating to be redirected between parties without a clear outcome.
Please review my case again and provide a final response and solution as soon as possible. I am keeping record of all communications.
Thank you for your time and prompt attention to this matter.
Title: Worst Experience Ever – Misleading Charity Ticket Policy Review
HYROX’s Charity ticket policy is a trap. I bought two tickets in good faith and was never clearly told that each required $600+ fundraising per person and could never be converted to Open, even if I pay the difference.
When I contacted them immediately and offered to pay the difference, they refused all solutions: no refund, no transfer, no credit, no deferral.
This is absurd and predatory. Participants are forced to pay exorbitant amounts or lose their money, all for a “charity” ticket that misleads you. HYROX prioritizes profit over fairness.
Do not trust them. Read the fine print carefully—you will regret it otherwise.
I requested a refund from a voucher…
I requested a refund from a voucher used, from a purchase THEY cancelled. It came with a reasonable time, but I had to ask several times. The upsetting factor was that day after day they kept saying "in the next 24h I will be created to your account" for 4 times. If you can't commit to a timeline, don't promise. I want to race my next race with the new shoe model, and I had to buy without using the voucher discount to have It in time.
HYROX refused a refund or even a name…
HYROX refused a refund or even a name transfer after my friend was diagnosed with lymphoma and unable to race due to her starting treatment. They relied solely on a no-refund/no-transfer policy and showed no flexibility or compassion. This was not a casual cancellation but a cancer diagnosis.
Extremely disappointing and a complete lack of humanity. I would urge others to be aware of how rigid HYROX is when serious illness is involved. Only interested in money and profit with a lack of empathy.
Horrible would NEVER do it again
Horrible would NEVER do it again. Referees were extremally unprofessional, signs did not work, tracker was incorrect, laps were not clear. Extremely commercial. Has nothing to do with sports it has just become a money machine very sad..
No contact information
Incorrect t-shirt size, no response after 2-3 weeks and no contact information.
Shocking computerised customer service
Shocking computerised customer service, clearly a money making ploy, with no care for the athletes!
My partner & I had booked onto our 2nd race at the Manchester Hyrox Doubles in Jan26, but I was rushed to hospital this week and had to have surgery to remove my appendix, which meant I wouldn’t be able to compete.
We contacted Hyrox directly to try and change the name so my partner could still compete or re-sell the tickets, which was met with a decline from the shocking customer service team, as we had not booked the flex ticket (as we had no intention of cancelling).
What a poor issue resolution service, I will not be booking another Hyrox - clearly more bothered about revenue than repeat business.
Hyrox clothing return process issues
I purchased Hyrox clothing items for my wife. The tights were too thin for her liking so I requested a return. To start, the return request is a challenge. Finally the chat responded and gave me a return link. Let me pause to say that they only reply to the chat once per day.
The return link did not work and after 5 or 6 requests they were finally able to get it to work.
Now I have a return authorization but they want me to pay $30USD to ship a pair of tights. I only paid $9 to receive the tights and a top.
It appears that this is all a scam to keep returns down.
Be aware that returns are not
Reasonable if you buy from Hyrox/Puma
Hyrox Benelux admitted mistake but left me without a solution
I bought a ticket for a Hyrox Benelux event, only to find out later that this ticket type should never have been sold to me or anyone else. I discovered this when I contacted them after getting injured and asked about options. Their response? They admitted the mistake but refuse to offer any solution. No refund, no transfer, no alternative. This means I lose my money and someone on the waiting list misses the chance to compete. I proposed options like deducting the amount from a flex ticket but I got a firm no. If you are considering buying from them, be aware; when they make an error, you bear the cost.
If I could give less than one star
If I could give less than one star, I would. The experience with Hyrox customer service is truly horrific. I am asking for a copy of my invoice as I didn't receive a copy by email or in the box. I have gone back and forth with the customer service for weeks with no helpful response.
Every time they respond with a different reason as to why they can't help me, some that don't even make sense and are just copy and paste answers to avoid having to do the work. I have provided them with all of the information they have asked for in detail and they still are too lazy to do the job they are paid to do.
Do better.
It's a scam
It's a scam. They show you one thing on the Internet, but it's not what arrives at your house.
How can they deceive you so much? I asked for my money back, and I hope they respond soon. Otherwise, I'll sue them with lawyers.
They just don't care
Their inflexibility and care about customers in a field of sports where injuries happen frequently is shocking!
Hyrox Ignored Medical Evidence and Kept £250 Entry Fee
I’m genuinely disappointed with how HYROX UK has handled my situation. I’m due to undergo rotator cuff surgery three weeks before my event, leaving me medically unfit to compete.
I provided medical evidence and only requested a simple name change not a refund. HYROX repeatedly sent template policy responses, refusing any flexibility because I didn’t purchase their “Flex Add-On.”
They have now confirmed in writing that if I arrived in a sling and on pain medication, I would be refused entry as “medically unfit” — yet they’re still keeping my £250 doubles entry fee.
This approach shows no compassion, fairness, or duty of care to athletes facing genuine medical circumstances beyond their control.
Disgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service. A refund was made due to having a flexi ticket. The amount was refunded to an old bank account that was closed despite requesting it not be sent there. It has been nearly 2 months and I am getting the same response of we don’t have the money and I need to chase it with my bank. I have chased it and the money has been returned hyrox but they are holding it and not sending it back.
Biggest scam company– No Compassion, No Flexibility
I registered for an upcoming HYROX event with great enthusiasm, but unfortunately suffered a serious muscle tear that makes it medically impossible for me to compete. Despite providing an official doctor’s certificate, HYROX refuses to offer any refund, ticket transfer, or even the option to resell my spot — simply because I didn’t purchase their “Flex Add-On” at the time of booking.
This policy is not only unethical, but I believe it also violates consumer rights under EU regulations. Denying any form of reasonable solution, even in a medical emergency, while also preventing ticket transfers or name changes, is unacceptable.
HYROX’s response was cold, dismissive, and copy-pasted. I am formally filing a complaint with the Dutch Authority for Consumers (ACM) through ConsuWijzer, and I encourage others in similar situations to do the same.
This experience has completely changed my view of the HYROX brand. I will not be registering for any future events, and I advise potential participants to think twice before giving their money to an organization that treats injured athletes with such indifference.
