Iboux Academy Reviews 

I have taken Spanish and French courses in Iboux for three years. I appreciate the quality of teachers and materials.

The instructors I have used have been nice. For the most part, they are patient but if I have much difficulty some will become slightly impatient. One suggested that I could feel free to use other instructors and didn't have to use her exclusively. When I speak English I have a heavy Southern drawl and I think I am not understood very well. Most of the instructors I have used have trouble coming up with the English word if I ask what the French word means. The other difficulty is the time difference. I live in the USA and occasionally it is difficult to find a good time with an instructor. I'm a bit disappointed in the course but overall it is a good experience.

I really enjoy my classes. My teachers are very patient and they adapt to my learning needs. I also feel like I have improved a lot from the beginning

A really helpful, personalised and interactive learning environment. It's been great to learn French with Audrey, coming in at just above beginner level, we've made good progress and lots of variety. The interactive nature of Iboux is a real benefit for all learning styles.

Iboux is providing a good platform with great teachers. My French is still basic but I feel like I am making good progress. I really like the flexibility you have in choosing your teachers and the timings of your classes.

I started taking French private lessons with Iboux about 18 months ago. I grew up in French-speaking Quebec in an English household and school system, so I learned French as a second language at school and spoke it on and off through completion of my university studies. After graduating I moved to the US and did not speak French again for the next 35 years. When I retired and picked up French with Iboux, I was pleased at how accurately Iboux was able to assess my current level before assigning me to the appropriate teachers and materials. I began to progress very fast, it was like riding a bicycle and my French came back much faster than I expected. The private lessons allowed me to tailor my learning pace to my progress very well, so I continue to feel challenged as my French speaking and writing skills have now accelerated even beyond what they were when I was a young adult. The price for private lessons is very reasonable and the student support is very good.

A fantastic and affordable way to gain practice and confidence in speaking a foreign language. Unlike similar platforms, you get to choose your teacher, though the good ones book up very quickly. I meet weekly with a truly terrific French teacher and have learned a lot about both the language and the culture. Lessons are tailored to my interests.

I have been taking French B1/B2 classes with Iboux for a few months and so far I am really happy with the overall experience. I like the fact that the curriculum can be tailored to suit my specific learning needs and preferences, that I have total flexibility to choose how many and when I want to take the classes and that I can choose which teachers I work with. So far all of the teachers and staff I've interacted with have been very nice and supportive. My only complaint is that sometimes I struggle to find enough available time slots that work with my schedule, so I need to do classes with multiple teachers and can't keep a consistent routine. Overall, though, I would be happy to recommend Iboux to anyone who wants to improve language skills.

Iboux is a great opportunity for me to learn and improve my French (starting from A1, now B1) and English (C1). The one-to-one classes give me direct feedback and corrections necessary for a quicker and more efficient learning. I have the opportunity to work with different teachers, all of them highly prepared and supporting. The only "remark" is the reduced languages catalogue (French, English, Spanish). I would love to have further languages to study them with Iboux's teachers. I recommend it.

I've been taking French lessons through Iboux for about the last 9 months, and I've had a good experience. My teachers are very friendly, and I enjoy having a dedicated curriculum to work through. My only complaint is that I struggle to find enough available time slots that work in my schedule, so my progress feels like it is a bit slow. Overall, though, the Iboux team is attentive and caring, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to improve in a second language!

This has been my first experience with iboux and so far I have only taken 8 classes but find them to be extremely helpful no matter what. Wilim in particular has been extremely patient and helpful in the support area and has guided me every step of the way. Just recently he has done a review about how my my learning is going which means a lot as its given me opportunity to discuss things. Teachers are very good and always organized and efficient, and for one hour I feel I get their undivided attention which really helps my learning. Sometimes I have problems booking a slot to suit me so more Teachers working from England would be nice.

I'm enjoying learning with Iboux because the teachers provide instruction on exactly what I need to be working on to progress. As well, having one-on-one time with a teacher is so helpful because it provides an opportunity to speak and be corrected in real-time by an expert.

I have completed 20 iboux french lessons and have enrolled for another session. My objective is to improve my comprehension and conversational skills, keeping my 'ear in tune' with the language until I can travel to France again. For this purpose I find Iboux lessons very useful and satisfactory. My tutor is a good conversationalist and unobtrusively guides and corrects my errors , without unduly losing the flow of the lesson. I am very happy with the French course provided by iboux

I have started an A1 French course. As I needed to start from the basics, Iboux was recommended for the one-to-one teaching lessons.
You have the opportunity to interact with different teachers, and then you have time to choose the one that best suits you.
I truly recommended it.

Iboux allows me to integrate English communication into everyday life. What I find especially helpful is the possibility to book the next lessons flexibly and depending on my own schedule. My teacher is competent and nice and I enjoy the lessons.

My experience with IBOUX so far has been great. The teachers have been friendly and helpful and I feel my spoken French has really improved, which was my aim when I started the classes. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to improve their languages!

Iboux is a nice platform to get some language practice at a decent price. I did advanced French (B2/C1) with them for 9 months. It took me some time to find good teachers amongst the ones they proposed me. I find Iboux a great place to have conversation practices if that's what you're after. However, the lessons lack some balance in other language competencies, i.e. reading, writing, listening. Their advanced (C1) materials are also outdated. Many links in the course materials are not working anymore. And sometimes, the exercises/ questions could seem so random that even the teacher doesn't know the answer.

I really like studying languages on Iboux. It's the perfect learning environment because in every class I can choose what I want to practice even if I just want to have a conversation about to improve my talking skills. The flexibility it comes with is also great, booking hours independently is great.

I have worked with two wonderful, talented, and experienced Iboux Spanish teachers for nearly 4 years - going from A2 to C1, and still working to improve. The online platform works very well and allows students to work with teachers in different corners of the world. It is a privilege to work with this team.
