My teenage son ordered a football jersey from Icon Football while overseas. He chose size L based on experience with similar jerseys made in China, which typically run small. The site offered no clear sizing guidance on mobile, and didn’t disclose its business location. The parcel shipped from NSW, Australia—suggesting local fulfillment.
The jersey arrived drastically oversized. We contacted the company via their website and email, offering to pay for an exchange. No response. When we followed up on Instagram, they replied rudely, refused any exchange, and claimed the issue was “not their fault.” They later repeated this stance via email.
Their Instagram messages were hostile and unprofessional—including statements that they “did not care about any laws—including Australian laws" their T&C are apparently above any Laws. They claimed to be based in Spain, despite shipping from a warehouse in NSW. IP tracking tools show their domain is hosted in Russia, raising serious questions about transparency and more ...
After rudely refusing our request, we noticed their Terms & Conditions had changed. At the time of purchase, sizing wasn’t listed as a non-returnable condition. After our complaint, it was added. We don’t have a screenshot of the original version, but we reviewed it carefully and can confirm the change.
Scam monitoring platforms rate Icon Football as high-risk:
• Scamdoc: 25% trust score, citing hidden ownership and recent domain creation.
• Scamadviser: 62/100, advising manual verification before purchase.
While the site doesn’t explicitly target minors, its branding and social media clearly appeal to teens. My son found it through peer recommendations and didn’t have the experience to assess its legitimacy. The company seems to exploit this trust—using vague sizing, hidden terms, and aggressive communication to avoid accountability.
We’re sharing this to help others make informed decisions. Proceed with caution. It's a pitty , the quality of their jersey was good, but their approach terrible and totally unacceptable. I wish I could upload their replies here ...
