iDealing - best platform I know.

I have been with iDealing since 2002 and compared to two other broker accounts I have they are very good. Their platform is a joy to use, their range of stocks is good, you can get Direct Market Access with them and they offer streaming live prices. Trailing stops took a bit of figuring out, but when set they display the intraday moving prices relative to the stop as a percentage, as do your limit buys, etc - very good. Watch list is on the main trading page so it's always in view and you can deal from there or action a deal using the normal instruction. Contract notes hit my e mail in box within seconds of a trade executing. Their trading desk staff have always been a pleasure to deal with and are very good at working on a price you give them. Until recently their admin or customer services seemed to me to have a bit of an attitude problem but I believe there has been a bit of a personnel change and things are much better now. Costs are very reasonable, admin fee £5 per qtr, dealing £9.90 per trade and telephone deals are the same price. What am I unhappy about? The fact that they are 'boutique' size as I would much prefer a bank or major player to stand behind my broker. Having said that no problems for the past 15 years. Crediting money by bank transfer seems to take less than 24 hours and they operate different currency accounts. Cash withdrawals seem to take less than 5 days and for amounts over £1000 they require a hard copy form. It's a bit cheeky charging £2 to withdraw my own cash but it's hardly a deal breaker. I would prefer that they charged sufficiently, within reason, for their facilities such that they stay in business and make a fair profit - they are no use to me if they undercharge and go broke!
In summary I would say give them a try. Start with one or two stocks first and if you then want to leave just sell the holdings and withdraw the cash - much easier than all the faffing around and time when your stocks are tied up in the transfer process and you can't deal.

International transfer made easy.

After trying to make an international bank transfer through my mothers bank, which after almost two months of trying, we gave up and decided to use iDealing.com and it couldn´t have been easier with fantastic rates. Very helpul staff and great service. You can read on their website about the closing fee and account maintainance cost so it was no surprise. I would happily recommend them.
