2018 Razer Blade Battery Replacement
Battery Replacement went very smoothly thanks to the iFixit tool kit that I purchased with the replacement battery for my 2018 Razer Blade. I was able to keep all of the removed screws organized thanks to the removable tool kit cover having slightly raised boxes that you can organize with.
Difficult (impossible for me) to get customer service
The company missed of my house number in my invoice (I double-checked by starting to order another item and seeing my browser auto-fill worked as expected). I then tried to correct it. Their AI assistant was continually pushing me to use some online form that had no way of providing this information. I then cancelled the order within 30 minutes as I wasn't confident I would ever sort the problem. There is no other way to contact ifixit.
I've tried contacting via social media to warn them about the issue but I've had no response. (Update: I did get a response to email support at ifixit after 2 working days - maybe that's not bad for a social media response - I'll update how long it takes for support to acknowledge.).
I've ordered from another supplier - fingers crossed. It's a shame as ifixit has all the user guides and looks set up to be super easy to use.
Minor gripe. I signed up for a stock notification and got it the day after the above fun as by chance I'd checked if they were back in stock - so don't rely on the notification.
Lasted only 500 cycles instead of rated 1000!

NIGHTMARE Cell Phone Battery Order
I ordered a Samsung cell phone battery. It was $19.99 and the shipping was $12.99 = $32.98. I was sent the wrong battery. I received the RMA to do the return. Ifixit would credit me only $19.99 for the return. They would not credit me for the shipping cost to me, $12.99 or provide a pre-paid return label to return the item and my cost would be $14.99 to return it. Total cost to me $47.97! They were not helpful or cooperative and their batteries are over priced. BEWARE. Shop Amazon!

First Time Replacing Battery and IFixIt User
Following the step by step instructions provided and using the repair kit, I was able to successfully remove the battery from the S10+ without harming the mobile phone. The only struggle I had, was carefully prying out the battery due to the worlds strongest adhesive known to man. The Toolkit does not come with the clear-card, but I'd wager that would had helped a bit more.
Tip:
Do no go in thinking it will take 10mins, it will take however time it is needed. With that said, take your time doing this operation and be sure you get the right kit first ;)

It missed the part where you have to remove the old glue and plastic part on the frame. It didn't even mention it. I hence tried placing the new screen on top of it and surprise, it didn't seal. Youtube helped me understand the problem but it was too late; the new glue had been partially glued to the old, and when I opened the phone again I couldn't avoid damaging the new glue line. Thus even with proper cleaning the new screen is not fully and waterproofally sealed.
Spending 170 euros on ifixit products wasn't enough, I now need to additionally buy some new glue to protect my phone from water.
How disappointing that a well known website isn't even able to give the proper instructions. I wouldn't recommend ifixit to anyone; amazon and a good youtube video would definitely do better, for a way lower price.

Made the repair completely by myself with the provided tools in one hour. I replaced the battery and the display in my Google Pixel 8. The instructions were clear and the parts are good quality.

Ifixit Bait and Switch part orders? Mysterious cancellations
I've attempted to order parts from ifixit. Find the item. Put in cart, and checkout. I get an email that everything is confirmed. Then I get an email that my order is canceled for some obscure reason and have no option to correct the mystery issue.
Reorder the same part going through the same process. Again everything verified and confirmed. Then mystery cancellation.
Is ifixit using "Bait and Switch" tactics on orders? How is it possible that a verified and confirmed order be suddenly canceled for a superfluous reasons?
It's impossible to get a real person on the line. What's going on???

new screen for pixel 7 pro did not fit. thought I'd ordered the wrong one but after checking my order it should have fit. can't even return it as I damaged the clips that stick out and shouldn't have been there in the first place. wasted £215 on false advertisement.

Ifixit recommended product did not fit my laptop. 30 bucks, had to pay 15 to ship back. So I paid 15 dollars for nothing. No phone co tact, no way to get my money back.

The screen on my iPhone SE 2020 broke after hitting the ground. I ordered a new screen from iFixit. It arrived fast and was relatively easy to install. The screen generally worked, but it there were a high number of ghost-touches. I opened the phone again and checked the cables without success.
After addressing the issue to iFixit they swiftly sent a new replacement screen. Unfortunately the problem were exactly the same as the first screen received from iFixit. As it was difficult to live with my old cracked screen was reinstalled and the ghost-touches disappeared.
The two badly functioning screens were returned to iFixit (iFixit paid the shipping). iFixit claimed they tested the screens to be in perfect working order, but nonetheless refunded my purchase in full.
I later purchased a screen from a different vendor. This screen worked perfectly without ghost-touches thus I cannot interpret it in any other way that the two screens from iFixit indeed were defect.
I give iFixit 5 stars nonetheless as they were fast at responding and offered excellent service despite time lost and the fact that the iFixit product never fixed my phone.
