Hi all
Good experiences or poor I feel giving feedback directly to the business is the most effective way for that business to grow an learn from that customers experience, having tried to do that in person but not satisfied with the response/outcome I felt it necessary so that future customers my learn from my experience, so here is my experience:
Took my car to be assessed/investigated for a few things
The garage replaced two arms at the front, one full at the rear, two new rear tyres and rear number plate lamps, I was charged just shy of £850 I accepted the bill as reasonable but would welcome feedback
Was refunded tracking (around £80) due to not being able to complete after three attempts (back and forth to the garage) which I accepted, I requested a quote to replace all suspension but the garage declined to quote as they didn’t want the business on it being and old car, which I understood but was disappointing
I was very patient with the garage concidering I had to keep taking the car back and forth
However as soon as I drove it from the garage a ‘tapping noise’ developed from the rear
I took it back three more times to be told on numerous occasions ’we shouldn’t have took the job on in the first place’ by three different people (a Machanic the owner and Carl the manager, I’m not sure why I kept getting met with this but they were happy enough to take my money but then to be told this numerous times was concerning
Carl told me that I should take it to another garage have it investigated as no work that they (ignition autos) had done would have caused tapping of any kind, he did stated that if found that they were at fault too bring it back and he’d have it looked at. (Later I challenged Carl on his manner and how he gave me the ‘hard line’ which he denied saying,
Carl later quoted: “I’ll go and listen to the call and tell you exactly what I said” I declined that offer but he insisted he would and indeed he did!, for what reason I’ll let you decide, but in doing so proved me right and himself a little silly
I took my car to another garage and quickly identified that the handbrake cable hadn’t been secured by a hook correctly and was now rubbing against the inner arch of the wheel itself and was the cause off the tapping, I took the car back to ignition autos, they could clearly see they were at fault, Carl informed me that the handbrake cable ‘wasn’t damaged’, it was ‘just the outer plastic that had sheared away!’, I stated that the metal cable is now clearly visible and i thought it was infact damaged, bare in mind this is their fault, he said he’d have one of the guys put a bracket on to hold it back and put some ‘tape on it’ I found this to be very disappointing but could see where this was going
He has subsequently asked for a invoice from the garage that found the fault so that he may reimburse me but I feel that he has missed the opportunity to appropriately remedy this situation and compensate me for the numerous return visits and the poor customer service by (unfortunately himself) the manager Carl, I must say when speaking to the reception team they was very polite as was the owner, who was also very informative but even he didn’t identify that fault on his inspection
I have reached out more than I probably should so would look forward to hearing from ignition autos directly (they have my details) with any offer of compensation and reimbursement for the second garage inspection

Would give 0 stars if I could. Booked my car in to be fixed here and they fitted second hand parts and caused more problems than it went in with. Then quoted me £2000 to fix the mistakes they had made. Avoid !!!!

I had a mixed experience with Ignition Autos Ltd. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and they helped diagnose my car's issue. While they offered good advice, the pricing seemed a bit high compared to other garages. I’d consider them for warranty-covered work, but always recommend checking costs upfront. Overall, an average experience.

Caused more problems taking my car here!! Avoid this garage !!!
The RAC recommended this bodge job garage to fix one problem, and it came out worse off! After over charging me I still have a car that does not run at all !!!
I’ve spoken to many other garages in the mean time and had a diagnosis that shows the problem occurred after work had taken place on my vehicle! Which was obvious to me!! This garage has caused me nothing but headache!!!

I went to ignition auto with a clame on my RAC warranty not knowing what to expect.From the minute I stepped in the reception I was made to feel at ease they explained the process and and possible delays that is out of there control with the paperwork.the team were brilliant and the work was done to a professional standard they went above and beyond thank you all

There's a good reason this company gets almost 90% 5* ratings so ignore the poor ones (numpties). Staff were exceptional from start to finish. Friendly, welcoming, professional and went the extra mile to help me out by fitting me in as the staff were setting up for the day at 7.00 am!! I could go on but I think the 90% far outweighs the numpties .... x

Absolutely fantastic service
Absolutely fantastic service, dealt with our very knackered car as a rush job and were super helpful and extremely nice, down to recommending where to go for lunch and have a nice walk. Really good. If I ever break down catastrophically in the Knutsford area again I will definitely use them.

I went to Ignition autos as they are RAC recognised and closest to me due to having RAC premium warranty. The garage were very helpful in diagnosing my Range Rover and even though the fault was not covered under warranty they gave me some great advice and all round knowledge that has helped me to hopefully fix my situation as the bill is quite pricey. I will defo be going back to hopefully have some work done that should be covered under warranty!

found this garage really professional and friendly. I was a female on my own and they made me feel really confortable, which is the first time i have felt like that when having my car repaired. They talked me through everything and gave me a price and told me what would wait and what needed to be done.
Cant recommend them highly enough especially to any ladies who are unsure about getting their vehicle serviced or repaired. Very fairly priced for exceptional service.

Dick turpin wore a mask clearly people need to be very careful when accepting to have work carried out at the overly inflated prices always shop around so you dont get ripped off by places like this

Excellent service by this garage. Our Ford Ranger came in to be looked at as had lost power, the mechanics did a diagnostics on the car and discovered some injector seals needed replacing, although the warranty wouldn’t cover this (typical) we were super impressed with the garage and getting our car sorted for us. Will definitely be returning for any future works and recommending you! Thank you!
DPF root cause diagnosed
I've had a recurring DPF problem with my Insignia for about a year and have had it in three other garages who said they could diagnose and fix it. Each time, the problem came back. Eventually, I got Ignition Autos to take a look at it and for the first time, someone has got to the actual root cause. If I'd gone to Ignition in the first place, then I could have saved all the anxiety of the last year or so, and the car would have been fixed first time round. It pays to talk to the experts first.
