UPDATED service
I had issues with the application initially which I expressed here through TrustPilot;
I am not sure if that was the reason but someone from their team called and explained the next steps to be taken followed by an email sent to explain the next steps. I still had to delete the app and reinstall it which was time consuming to finalise the application. But I am glad that its resolved and grateful to the customer service personnel for helping me out. While I changed the 1star review, I am still keeping it at 3star simply because I believe a better app + process can be implemented to this part of the transaction. Klarna can be taken as an example to learn from perhaps!

Shocking bad service.
Shocking bad service.. I called Ikano bank and asked them a very simple question.. How much do I owe you?.. I wont to pay my balance up in Full?.., thay gave me the magic number to pay my balance in FULL.... Then 6 weeks later I get letters saying I owe them more money... How could that possibly be, so I called the bank and the moses incompetent people I've ever spoke to... All of a sudden the bank is now claiming the full amount number to pay off my account was correct.... But there was anouther payment too... What a scam... When a customer says what's the FULL amount I owe you to pay the balance off in FULL I should have been given that number... Not a made up number then make up poor excuses like "but this"..."but that"..., I asked to speak to a manager and thay just hung up the phone incompetence at best by the Ikano bank... Avoid if you can...

Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service. I have never known a bank where you call but cannot be put through to the claims or complaints department but instead have to wait 3-5 working days for someone to contact you back. This fails to happen and when you do get a response it’s via email!!! I find this so anger fuelling as all I want to do is sort out my situation. I was miss sold a product I did not need by rogue traders using hard sell tactics when I was at my most vulnerable. They got me to take out a 10year loan with Ikano, meaning during that time I would be paying half back again in interest. The company, Evergreen Power did not adhere to giving me 14 day cooling off period amongst other things. Under section 75 consumer act I went back to Ikano who are trying every way of getting out refunding me. They are wanting me to put out more money to get a surveyor to provide a statement of whether product faulty or installed incorrectly before they will consider. The company claimed I would also save up to 50% off my energy bills. I was sold icynene open cell spay foam to insulate my loft. I was living in a 3 year old house and there was nothing wrong with the insulation but I was led to believe different. The figure started off around 14k but during the time spent and two further phone calls and if I agreed to the installation there and then I could save even more until the price had dropped to 4.5k. The job was done within 3 days and had I been given the 14 day cooling off I know I would not of had it done as the following week I visited my partner and told him what I had done and he was so frustrated with me and said why would I need this in a brand new house? I contacted the company but they refused to engage and due to ill health I didn’t pursue it. Then I received two calls from company’s offering services to remove this as it is causing people problems obtaining a mortgage and selling their property and will devalue the house. The company failed to give me this information too. Surely this is miss selling regardless if product faulty or installed correctly. The investigation carried out has been very poor and they have not addressed the questions I have asked. I would never recommend this bank to anyone and judging by Trustpilot, there are many more feeling the same way.

Feel Conned and feel robbed
The loan started out quite well and was happy until some problems occurred.
They caused me to go into debt citing issues with their own bank and to be fair to them they credited the account and removed some late payment markers on my credit file as they admitted fault.
However, The last 5 months has been hell, I have been trying to clear my balance as a month skipped due to fraud, Been ignored, passed around departments, had 4 late fees applied incorrectly and customer service keep opening complaints that mean a wait time of over 40 weeks.
Caused permanent damage to my credit file and Despite talking to customer service a week ago promising no new late fees they suddenly found a reason to add one.

I took a loan out with this company for purchasing a new sofa set from Scs!
Got 0% interest over 3 years.
Received monthly emails showing remaining balance as my payments were set up by DD.
After 18 months I decided to pay the rest of loan off which was so easy to do as all details to do this were included in the monthly emails.
I would definitely consider Ikano again for a loan.

Absolute nightmare
Absolute nightmare. Sending 2 letters at once saying you have paid thank you and another saying you haven't and are behind
I even paid more than 3 times the amount one month to get away from them and I received a negative on my credit score saying I hadn't paid. Again, followed by an email saying we have refunded the charges so clearly re checked. They weren't always even late. Just awful

DO NOT TRUST IKANO BANK
Do not trust Ikano finance, they will give you a huge credit limit, even though we did not ask for it, and the monthly payments reflect the £14,500 credit limit, even though we have only spent £1300 with IKEA. We clicked on £1500 for a credit limit, and they came back and gave us £15,000. Now usually the monthly payments are reflected in your spend, however Ikano put the monthly payment to the full limit. We have been in touch with Ikano, and they have basically told us it's tough, we need to pay the £300 a month.

Ikano is a company that I can trust 100%. I’ve never had any dealings with any other company that are so genuine. They never pester you they leave you to carry on paying anything that you owe. I will definitely go back to this company in the future if I need anything else. Thank you for the way you have handled my account

Disgusted with this bank.
Disgusted with this bank. I made a complaint regarding my disastrous Ikea kitchen. I used an Ikano loan to fund this. They closed the complaint months later with no warning after listening to the lies of IKEA. I emailed them, they ignored me. Never again.

Honestly stay clear of Ikano no matter how much you need finance, an absolute disaster, communication is terrible and will waste your time with many attempts by phone and mail, they do no follow financial Industry standards and have been referred to the financial ombudsman for failings.

I am trying to reach them for last 3 months to help me with my account since I've moved outside of UK and no phone contact or mail contact. They are not helpful at all. No one is fixing my problem but they are charging me extra. If they won't be able to help me anymore, I won't try to pay that loan. That will be their bad not mine.

I want to make an additional payment to my Ikano credit account, using my Bank Debit Card. The Ikano App does not allow payments by debit cards, but advises you to log in to the Ikano website where you can make payment by Debit Card. I can see no option at all on the Ikano Web Site to pay by Debit Card, and no guidance apart to pay by Bank Transfer. I really prefer to pay by Debit Card. No more info or help on their website, nor telephone numbers nor email addresses to raise a question... very frustrating.

Where is their customer service?…
I have been offered a loan and then been told to sign a pre contract credit information. Where do I sign? How do I sign on line? When I try to speak to someone for help I am expected to wait half an hour on the phone
