Can't recommend ...

Can't recommend. I ordered $2k worth of items after moving in two batches.
Quite a few of the items are simply not great. Had to get things replaced.
Just to mention a few items:
- Virklund rugs: complete embarrassment. Wrinkles gallore due to the way these are packed... I they didnt come out even after 3 months. Got them replaced - same issue. Why cant they roll it around a firm cardboard roller (what's good for your toilet paper, aint good enough for ikea rugs....)
- Vidja floorlamp: wobbly like a skleleton ... had to get replaced due to faulty switch
- many of the kitchen items are really bad...
- Otis dining table - overpriced for what you get
- TV bench byas - have to spend more than an hour on peeling off scratch protection tape on all sides

Not to mention the shocking delivery problems.
Also, I realised that the pricing is nowhere as good as I thought (based on the respective quality of the item). I dont want to mention other places where you can buy similar quality at 30-50% off because ppl would think I am advertising for them.

My tip: careful with online delivery and make sure you research elsewhere and compare...

Paid for delivery of 1k worth of goods…

Paid for delivery of 1k worth of goods that we could not fit in our car. Organised the delivery in advance, and made arrangements to be at home to take the delivery and put it together. Received email confirmation that the items had been delivered and the signature was an 'X'?
Not delivered, and called IKEA and no help.
The customer service is shocking, do not recommend!

We had the most frustrating time

We had the most frustrating time at IKEA in Perth last Sunday. Having not been for a good few years, we were unfamiliar with the ordering/pickup system. Each time we asked a co-worker we were given a different story. In the end, after running up and down stairs for a good hour, we decided to forget the whole idea. I also caught gastro.

Shoppers beware!

The design of the products in Ikea are great. However with their new arrangements with the cheaper items there are tricky catches to be wary of. I recently bought 6 glass storage dishes with bamboo suction lids for $3 each. I bought a lot of things that trip and was exhausted after moving house. On my next trip I decided to get 4 more but this time noticed a seperate price near the lids. The lids were $5.50 each! This new ploy of selling lids seperately and having the price placed in a non-apparent spot is a very nasty con. Beware shoppers!

Do not shop at IKEA - customer service is BAD BAD BAD

I contacted customer service after receiving faulty items. They arranged for delivery of replacement items and pick up of the damaged items. 10 hour delivery window given. Delivery didn’t come. Rescheduled for 2 weeks later. Delivery didn’t come. Again, rescheduled for 2 weeks later. Delivery didn’t come. They offered to reimburse me for private courier. So I did that. They kept telling me the items would be ready for pick up. I called the store. They weren’t. Finally organised the items to be ready and the courier picked them up. I try to get reimbursement for the invoice and they only gave me a partial reimbursement. Called back to get the rest and they refused! Despite having it in writing that they would reimburse the full amount after I paid it. Finally after arguing for 1.5 hours she reimbursed the full amount. Days and days I’ve spent trying to get this sorted out. I haven’t even been able to use the bloody thing I bought and they are currently refusing any compensation for the time wasted and the absolute sh!tshow that I’ve gone through.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever.
Ordered and paid online. On the day of delivery I waited for hours only to find that the drivers had been and gone without ringing my doorbell. No call half an hour prior to arriving and only called my mobile after they had left. All captured in my security cameras.
My order was rescheduled and Daniel from the Specialist Department assured me he would personally track my order on the next scheduled day of delivery.
Once again for the second time my order was not delivered, apparently the logistics company were over booked.
No one bothered to notify me, I only found out when I called Ikea to enquirer as it was getting late in the afternoon.
Daniel from the Specialist Department would not take my call, his colleague was told to tell me “Daniel is too busy to take your call, you have already been told that your order is not on the truck and you will just have to rebook”
I cancelled my $1,500 order.
It’s impossible to speak to a supervisor and their customer service centers are distributed far and wide. No one will give you a full name, contact number or email address. No one wants to take accountability.
Such a shame this company is being run into the ground here in Victoria.

Ikea worst customer service

Worst customer service. Advertisement online is different than the real product and when i came to exchange i had to pay the difference in price although was false advertising. Manager was extremely rude, arrogant and would not listen to anything except what he had to say.

Worst customer service experience ever

Worst customer service experience ever. Delivery was split into two parcels. Received one on time and the second parcel never came. After several calls and two weeks later, seeking the second parcel, I gave up and asked for a refund. They promised a refund within three to five days. It is now forty days since my order and after five attempts talking to several staff members I still haven’t gotten a resolution. The staff have been rude, talking over me. One hung up the phone as I was talking. Shirley and Lilly to name the two I remember. Rude and disrespectful. Disgusting.

Hideous customer service

After having a very good experience ordering and getting delivered a wardrobe system, I ordered an identical item for another room in my house.
After receiving no communication form the delivery company ( unlike the first time) it took 3 phone calls to even confirm delivery. The delivery people turned up right at the end of the window mentioned. Once coming into my house and realised the delivery has to go upstairs ( which was the same as the first time) the driver went storming out and said he isn't taking it up stairs. While I was on the phone to IKEA, the truck drove off with all bar one small part of my delivery. When I told Ikea they said that she had instructed them to leave with our product. After trying to escalate it and speaking to the manager Lily she hung up mid conversation. Multiple phone calls later. Unlike there website states there is no express delivery's now have had two wasted days at home ( one for delivery and one for installation) and will need to take another two off again. Absolutely hideous customer service . No care is given to customers, the staff try and talk over you. lets see how tomorrows delivery goes.

hopeless service

Booked several furnitures in store. First time delivery, the driver called and told us he got a wrong address. The delivery address was all right on the order confirmation from Ikea. What a story. Wasted my wife a whole day. We called Ikea and booked again. This time I took a day off. Again nothing happened. I called Ikea and ask when the items will arrive. The answer was they, Ikea, don't know and have no control on the truck delivery and they can't help!!! But they do give you a time frame of delivery. This time at least they were honest. Be warned.

i would like to inform Ikea that after purchasing some of theyre food products..eg..vegatable balls..plant balls and other items..theyre vegetarian range all contain excessive amounts of salt.!! eg.vegetable balls one serving has 819 mg of salt.!! (read the panel )that is already one third of medically reccommended daily intake..it appears most vegetarian products from other producers all loaded with salt.!!!when questioned all manufacturers will state "for the taste" well problem is once salt is added it cannot be removed...obviously..!! may i inform the manufacturers suggest less salt at manufacture process as i gaurantee every table in every dining area has salt and pepper shakers so as to add to taste.!!!! blood pressure is a huge problem in the community and guess wich product is to blame...? answer ..SALT.!!i will not be purchasing food products from IKEA again ..A Wyker..Perth West Australia..

DISGRACEFUL

Online Purchase made for Food Item for "Click & Collect" on 2nd December. 5 December was due to drive 1.5hrs for pickup and rang first. Spoke to 2 unprofessional twits (one hung up on me - appalling customer service and poorly trained) and finally the 3rd one told me my online order was a Scam and not to drive to the Store. I was told it was a fake site and not IKEA. I rang the Bank and cancelled all my Credit Cards. Upon followup I was refused to speak to any Supervisor- they don't exist. I then got told it was a mistake, it was not a Scam, and it was the real website after all, and now they could find my Order No (couldn't before for some bizarre reason). IKEA are employing slave labour it seems who have zero care capacity and clueless about product/procedure/people. I was placed on hold twice for at least 20mins again to get someone who had no idea what to do and what was going on. I was told I'd get refund to the CC - I reminded them all Cards are cancelled as IKEA told me it was a Scam. I got old I'd get a Store Credit. I have not heard a thing back since 15th December.

I recently bought 3 items online

I recently bought 3 items online. They were to be delivered in 2 lots one day after the other. I had the 2 days off work. While one lot was delivered they left off the top of a set of draws (strange it was coming in a 2nd order) well of course it didnt come did it. I called an unhelpful woman who said it will come in the next few days. I dont have any more time off work so i presume it will be left in the street out the front if my unit block - bloody useless service

NOT HAPPY JAN!!!!

This is not a review about staff...I have had some lovely people try to help me out. However, I purchased a sofa 21/12/2022 from Ikea Osborne Par,k, was told (after staff made a call) they could deliver next day between 12 -3pm. Arranged for a person to be on site (new house) no aircon & a very warm Perth day. 4 pm I got a call still no sofa. person left at 4.30pm. Sofa delivered next day. Assembly (paid for) would be 29/12/2022. Received a message assemblers unable to attend, next appt 6/1/2023. Assemblers arrived parts missing!!!. I called Ikea, apologies, they could either arrange for missing parts to be posted, or, I go back to store & collect. I was provided a case # and I agreed to collect the missing parts(40 km each way trip!!!) The items would be in customer service area an hour after store opened. I went back at 7pm went to customer service about 8pm, nothing ready(NOT their fault & the Perth guy was lovely) He raced around to try & find parts for me...eventually I have the parts, the screws, legs & missing manual by 9.30pm. New assembly date 11/1/2023.. SHOCKING....I purchased a couch 21/12/2022 and still can't use it...LESS than impressed. Be careful is all I can say

Ikea has no respect for its customers

i am a nurse and tried to order a delivery based on my roster which I receive 6 weeks in advance. When I tried to book a delivery for 10 days from order date I was told that I could only book a delivery date within 6 days of the order date. If I didn't like the delivery date then I could cancel the original order and try and get another date that would suit my roster but once again only within 6 days of my order date. This is just utter madness and when I asked to speak to a team leader I was told no one was available. Ikea has no respect for its customers.
