Ordered a dressing table MALM dress tbl 120x41 dark grey and it arrived damaged in numerous places, Go onto IKEA and they arrange a £17.50 refund on the legs and the cracked drawer Sides were to be replaced. They replaced the drawer minus the drawer sides after ringing up IKEA and being on the phone for 90 minutes. I was told there was nothing they could do. I was polite I was calm and I said my purchase was not fit for purpose. They then disconnected me!
If you pay for cheap and nasty, that’s what you get!

Walked into IKEA on 25th January 2025 and spent over £600 for new wardrobes. Delivery was paid for and confirmed for Monday 27th January. However, nothing showed up.
After calling through to Peter in Customer Service on Moday afternoon (waited for 30 minutes for connection) Peter apologised and confirmed delivery was rescheduled for Tuesday 28th (am). Peter also confirmed that a tracking ID would be emailed to me and my wife, so that we can keep an eye on progress updates for Tuesdsy mornings planned delivery.
Today, Tuesday 28th nothing has arrived. Not even the promised email with the tracking ID.
Therefore, I called through to IKEA again (waited 30 minutes then silent line other end so I had to hang up and redial). Once I got through to IKEA, I was advised that due to a "technical glitch" my order was not going to arrive unless I completed a "fresh order" on the phone and start the process all over again.
I was absolutely gobsmacked that yet again, I was left in the dark and if it wasn't for me calling through to IKEA, no updates were coming my way.
For such a large and established company, I feel so let down by this whole experience. I have also requested a full refund (which i was advised might take up to 14 days).
So, once I get my money back, I will looking elsewhere for my wardrobes.
Just not good enough.

Do not use! What an awful company. My issues have gone on for over 3 weeks. No response to many emails of complaint after error after error on their part, then they mock you on the phone - My last call consisted of me being mocked about going to Citizens Advice / The Retail Ombudsman. I will be taking further action, though the main action taken is never shopping here again.
Following on from my prior review I didn't think things could get worse. It did.
Nearly a month of poor service. The list could go on; damaged items, items that are the wrong colour, failed deliveries and shocking customer service that has consumed many hours /days of my life. Over 3 weeks of a living nightmare and I was offered £60 as a good will gesture?! Insulting.
The customer service people mock you, place blame on you and in honesty don't give a damn. People need to vote with their feet and avoid this company at all costs as it will cost you not only financially, but in time and with that you mentally. It only takes a look on here to see what a joke this place is and what a joke customers are to them. Just for clarity....AVOID!!
*IKEA in my country don't respond 😡

Shopped at ikea many times, some good furniture pieces of choice, some I wouldn't buy.
I purchased the Hemnes range of bedroom furniture many years ago, off white, laquered and sturdy.
So phoned up made a purchase of hemnes for my new place , on the 8th Jan 2025. Along with this I was sold a taskrabbit service, a guy to assemble my items.
So the 13th of Jan, the furniture's here, the guy turns up and carries the goods to the bedroom. So just moved in I'm busy with deliveries at my door, went upstairs to see a pure white assembles 2 bedside draws, looked cheap and didn't want them.
The taskrabbit guy is flapping that he couldn't assemble the bed as there were no instructions in the box. I phoned ikea and asked them to refund and collect the furniture, the guy had left knowing I wasn't keeping it. And ikea said unassemble the draws do not damage it as it will affect your refund, and box it up. I have a disability now and if I could take the furniture down, I would have built it myself.
So phoned the next day spoke to a lovely lady who actually worked for ikea not resolve agency. She said I'm sorry that's awful I'll organise a taskrabbit to come back and rebox. Also a van to pick it up. So waiting and waiting , they were both a no show. This went on for the next 2 weeks and guess what I'm still sleeping on the sofa, painters can't get in the room to paint, for my fear of them damaging the pieces.
My new furniture has turned up from another store and unable to get that put together because of ikea stuff.
The taskrabbit guy has ripped the top of the box in half. Now 23 phone calls to ikea they are due to pick it up on the 27th. Not much faith in that myself, most I've spoken to in ikea said its not right and should be collected.
It's now the 23rd of Jan and it's been 10 solid days to get them to pick this up. And get my £ 1,500 refund returned.
Today I've finally got hold of Taskrabbit in the USA on chatbox , they say it's ikea problem. I asked them to send a guy out to finnish the job left in a mess, and not interested and taking no responsibility, the guy was only here 2 hours.
Ikea have no managers you can call they have this company stiched up against customers. You can get no further than agency resolve team, after speaking to 30 off them and being passed around from one to the next, I'm living on my last nerve.
So the hold they have on me is you mark it or damage it ? No refund I'm 70 yrs old on my last chapter and just downsized. Was looking forward to setting my little place nice, and being held hostage. I don't want anybody to touch it for fear of scratches or damage as its not they're money at stake. Its ikea & the taskrabbit to solve between them , I'd paid £ 260 for his service provided by ikea!! Who's at fault.
But as of yet can't paint or sleep in a bed.!! I'm more than livid !!
So on to my next order from ikea of bathroom mirrors and shoe furniture £306, delivery was for Sunday 19th Jan no delivery , 2 stories for this off delivery team, sorry he had 50 drops, and only completed 26. Re called them I was told wasn't put on the van ???
So due again on the Tuesday 21st Jan same order , never arrived !! Phoned them up , told the order wasn't loaded on the van !! So cancelled order !! Ikea in for a big fall too many agency's the wasted deliveries or attempts to deliver or pick up items is atrocious, the people they employ don't care but just there for a wage. Shoddy treatment of customers who pay their wages ! Not me I'm done !!
In the meantime ordered a bedroom suite from a different store, and that was a nightmare ! Everything came but the Matteress, UK is screwed for service. Watch where you spend your money people. They don't give a damn about you, but we have your money job done !!!

Bought a bed for £780 on 30th Nov. Waited home all day for delivery on 7th Dec - the bed legs were delivered. No bed frame, no mattress! After numerous calls to Customer Services (all over an hour) and THREE further waits at home no delivery. I then asked for a refund in early Jan. Told the legs would need to be collected first and following that on 7th Jan I should get a refund within 14 days - that was 16 days ago. Called again today and they still can’t figure out what’s happened. Told I should get a refund in 5 days but have a ‘reference number’ if I don’t. IKEA is in breach of contract, they failed to deliver my purchase and are now withholding my refund! Considering going to the press next week as well as Consumer Standards.
Worst retail experience of my life and it’s not over yet. HELP!!!

I am very satisfied by the products and the service they offer. I recently had 3 bid orders which contained 2 big furnitures pieces for kitchen and living room and I was so impress first by the site, where I could do my design and then by the customer service and the services they offered in general.
I managed to buy missing pieces later and collect them with ease, while the customer service was so useful for helping me organize the collection 2 times after I missed the collection days.
The price is really economical too.
Love the entire concept, the services and how smooth and transparent everything is.
Well done Ikea!

Paid £30 for a deliver to then get a text to say my parcel was ready at Matalan to collect. When i spoke online to customer service she said thats what had been agreed… No i paid £30 for delivery and the receipt has all the details on along with the £30 delivery charge… i was then cut off from the chat.

Ordered cabinet online for an evening collection at IKEA West Quay Southampton. There was a large queue of people waiting to collect their orders. Booked in my order number and waited for close to 50 minutes to get my one item. This lead to a parking fee of £2.50. The cabinet itself was not of great quality. Plastic cam locks rather than Die cast Aluminium. Top & bottom was not correctly drilled with clearance holes to allow the bolts to go through before the thread bites into the side panels. This lead to the base & top kicking away from the side panels as you try to tighten the bolts this is very bad engineering, PS I Am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer.

Failed on delivering rest of order within reasonable time
Failed on customer service, could not access deliver vehicle, could not access deliver slot, could not offer remuneration, could not put me through to manager, could not offer her full name, “Samantha” all round absolute disgrace of a company. Had to collect rest of order myself, if was you unless your collecting and double checking order then don’t buy from here 😡

Why stick a 7.5T lorry on a soft grass verge that states DO NOT PARK ON GRASS VERGE then get stuck and in trying to get out completely destroy it, then a recovery truck has to line up on another grass verge to lift it out and destroy that!! READ THE SIGNS AND DON'T BE AN IDIOT - No need what so ever to park on the verge just because you dont live here!!

Placed a large order and booked delivery for 28th December.
First delivery was cancelled and rebooked for two days later
Second delivery never turned up, no notice given so waited in all day for it until we phoned them to query when it would be delivered, were told wasn’t going to be delivered at all that day. Asked to rebook for next available - we’re initially told this was 2 Jan but it wasn’t rebooked. Only found out when rang to check arrangements. Now had to wait until 3rd Jan (today). Delivery arrived later than stated and included only 5 out of 37 items. Items now needed urgently but no urgency on IKEA’s side. Just told will rearrange for next available slot but no one able to say what has happened to our missing 32 items. Very disappointed young person who the items were a gift for. No manager call back, no further assistance given today. Very poor service, Ikea have significant amount of our money and not able to say where our items we have paid for are (should have been delivered over a week ago).

I have half furnished my house with IKEA and it so stylish and durable. I even managed to put my first kitchen together with very little help. My favourite purchase so far is the Kivik lounge suite. Bought this especially so that all covers can be removed for washing or replaced if damaged as I have an inside dog that often runs along the lounge and partner that often spills food. Cannot believe how easy and well the covers wash in the washing machine and dryer!

I tried to be fair this time and gave two stars instead of one.
I was not an Ikea fan but since five years ago started to shop in Ikea because my family member has a family card and had a few of their furnitures. My only concern used to be they are not very complimenting to the eyes as compared to more sophisticated furnitures. Then I discovered more as I bought more product, they are relatively cheap, but made of cheap materials that breaks easily as well. Especially something supposed to be skrewed on, the sockets breaks before you put anything in it. The designs are very smart. But a lot of pifalls on home appliances. So far we bought an office chair £150, a pressure cooker £60, a bamboo steamer £13,a storage cupboard with boxes and lids, £200 all included, none of them survived their expected life. And by the way, we don't have a lot of stuff that breaks that easily at home, and when they appeared good and just broke down, it certainly made an impression, and it's only today when I browsed my 5 years purchase history, have I found that they all came from Ikea!
I have tried to published reviews for these items but couldn't really see my publication, and can't seem to see negative reviews at all under these product, I'm not sure what mechanisms they have, but be very weary of this company! It looks booming, and they even opened a store in oxford street, but cheap quality for something to be bought at the original price.

Spent over £800 on waredrobes and a dresser to not have them delivered. Paid for express delivery, got given a 12 hour time slot on the day. At 9:17am I received a text message to say my delivery will arrive between 8:15am and 12:15pm… a little late to receive the text but oh well I thought it’s on its way. 12:15pm comes and goes and still no update and no sign of the order. I ring at 2pm to customer service to be told their system is showing it out for delivery but to call back in a couple of hours in case there is a delay or anything. I ring back at 4pm to be told by the customer service team that it is out for delivery and will be delivered by 6pm. Again, 6pm came and went. I ring the customer service team again at 6:30pm to be told the delivery never even left the depot and the route was completely cancelled and I need to reschedule delivery. The only next available delivery date is the 8th January… 10days later. So I have rearranged my whole room, caused utter chaos in the house to not have them arrive, been lied to twice by the customer service team and paid for express delivery which after waiting 15+ days isn’t express delivery. Utter rubbish.

What a shame! On Dec 26th I am trying to buy a gift card, from both two of our @ accounts, but the website and the dedicate page do not work. In the beginning it did not even acknowledge our credentials, then it did but website does not allow to complete the purchase. What a waste of time!

IKEA= Massive Green washing and heavily destruktive forestry around the world.
Don’t shop at Ikea.
I see so many negative reviews of Ikea, but I have had nothing but excellent service. I purchased an inexpensive pine bedframe and mattress for my teenage son in October and the center post of the bed frame cracked this week (two months later). When I telephoned the store, they assured me that not only would they replace the part, but they would deliver a brand new bed frame to me at no charge and pick up the old one. To me, that is incredibly responsive service. I am giving them five stars.

I recently contacted Ikea to get my missing 200 points. I have attended 2 kitchen planning meetings, 2 workshops and spent around £200 including my regular vegan purchases. I tried to get my points credited and the operator was rude and unhelpful and refused to add my points even though I have spent thousands of pounds with Ikea and even shopped regularly at the grocery store. I am very disgusted by this refusal for such a small amount of points (200). I was due to buy a new kitchen this month and this has made me not want it anymore.
I did and they were rude and unhelpful. That is why I am giving a neegative review. All I asked for was my missing points and they were very rude and unhelpful. So, in answer to your response. I tried that! It is Italy Ikea.
