A badly run gym with cranky staff

I have been a member now for 16 years and during that time have consistently been exposed to terrible management decisions, treating the customers like sheep rather than valued members. The latest was when I was trying to use my guest voucher to bring in my daughter into the gym. I was denied because the lady said she was too young, but then tried to get me to buy a membership for her. How does this not look like a blatant cash grab? She is not allowed to train in the gym on a guest membership but allowed if I buy her a membership? What the hell is the guest membership privilege for then? The other thing that was really, really annoying is that IKSU suddenly decided that they were going to limit access to their members and confine them to one gym. In the past years I was able to train in both IKSU sport and plus (which is a smaller, dinky gym) but now they revoke access rights to plus unless you buy “full access” to all four of their gyms!! Again this seems like another cash grab scenario. The obvious problem here is that it is going to contribute to the already crowded IKSU sport and make it even worse. They didn’t really think things through.

Shame on you IKSU for providing such terrible service to your long time members. If it wasn’t for the climbing wall, I wouldn’t hesitate to ditch my membership but as it stands I am stuck with you. You need to send your management and staff to a master-class on customer service since it is painfully lacking.
