The engineer that I booked to check my washing machine started by telling me that all the pipes need changing (which is 100’s pounds), he then turned on the washing machine despite me saying that the problem did not occur when it was turned on but off. I then said I have googled the problem and it usually to do with a valve needing replacing. He then said, yes this is likely to be the problem but obviously by this point he couldn’t check! He then said he doesn’t know how to work with this type of washing machines and left. So essentially this scamming company took my money for no assessment or work but to come and turn on my washing machine!!!
I phoned to speak to the manager and explained that I wanted my money back because I did NOT get any labour in exchange for my money. She rudely explained that they take payment of £144 for a call out and not for any work. I explained that I made a payment on the assumption that this would be in exchange of labour. She said this was not true… ??? She then said she would get back to me within 24 hours after talking to the engineer and obviously she did not. This is a scamming service that I have reported to trading standards. Don’t get scammed like me!!!
