Please be very aware that when you buy from this company if you wish to return anything to them you pay postage and also 10% is deducted to pay them to pat test it.even though one of the boxes were not even opened I have returned two pendant lamps costing £199 looked like glass on the website but were cheap lightweight acrylic, cost £15 to return they have signed for return on 17th November but can’t get them to answer the phone or return an email to confirm refund Never again

I bought a smart pendant light
I bought a smart pendant light. It took almost 3 weeks to get from Birmingham to Bristol. When it arrived it looked like it was second hand. Full of scratches and unusable. In my experience this company has some way to go to improve and deliver what all consumers expect nowadays. I have emailed with photos and hopefully they can raise their game and put this right.
UPDATE - So, iLite took my money on the 3rd Nov, they collected the item in Dec and I'm still waiting for a refund.
UPDATE - 28th January 2022 and still nothing. I have heard nothing from iLite since their courier collected the damaged item. Really disappointing. I think I've been super patient but I couldn't recommend them to anyone as a supplier. PLEASE AVOID dealing with this company. Good businesses, put things right when things have gone wrong. £150 is not an insignificant amount of money and I will not just let this slide.

Be very cautious when buying online with this company. We placed an order online for 1 x "spring pendant light small - Brass" at £209 and 2 of the "Holly SP1 pendant lights" at £79 each which were and still are available for sale on their site in the clearance section. We had received a order confirmation email which stated they will contact us when the items are ready to ship. As I hadn't heard from them since I followed up with a phone call today to be told the holly light is coming from Italy and will take 4 weeks and the spring lights isn't available at all!. The customer services employee advised me that when items are in stock or available you should see a number of the qty they have in stock in the very top of the screen on their site, but when an item is not in stock their website doesn't actually bother to mention this. So its down to you guess if what you are ordering is actually an item they are selling or not. Either way they are happy to take your money and not let you know and waste your time. So be careful not all is what it seems. I have since cancelled my order and requested a refund. Lets see if happens or not. will update the review if it does
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. When installed, the lights look nothing like the website picture. The company said it’s over 14 days since it was purchased and used. I’m not sure what this has to do with selling me a light that does not meet its trade description.

Don’t manage customer expectation
Ordered a number of things, spent a lot of money, wasn’t allowed to return a set of lights as my builders had thrown out the box. Fine but still annoying as they could resell no issue so I think this policy should be relooked at. The real real hassle was that I ordered lights in the spring - ans have only just received the final one and it’s November! No one contacted me proactively to tell me what was going on, until I got really irate then someone attempted to call and email but even so I had to chase ans chase and chase. I kept getting told next week next week next week. The date moved weekly from July and I only now have my goods. The girl I spoke to was nice enough I felt bad for her but customer service really leaves alot to be desired!! I would think twice before ordering again.

Ordered 3 bulbs, got confirmation of order then nothing till I rang 7 days later. Told bulbs on back order for 4 weeks minimum. No one tried to make contact,I had to bring them. Couldn't speak to any management so told someone would ring back by end of business. 3days later I have to ring them again, which was pointless. Cancelled order as still no one could be bothered to call me. USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Atrocious customer service. I ordered two wall lights which were opaque and translucent when lit. They were installed and it was immediately apparent they did not look like the products advertised. Further they were different colours which could only be seen once lit. They were on the wall for less than two minutes and immediately repackaged. Customer services refused to accept their return on the grounds they were not electrically faulty and could not accept returns for safety reasons. What safety reasons were not (or could not) be explained. I persisted on the grounds they were different colours and was asked for photographic evidence. I pointed out that to achieve this, they would have to be installed a second time which would not be practicable and suggested I return them for their inspection and evaluation prior to any refund. I got a generic reply that they could not accept returns. Totally unacceptable customer service, and at times I felt I was either dealing with a computer or someone with the literacy skills of a year 3 pupil. We are was repeatedly spelt were, and product was spelt procusts. So I am now left with two substandard wall lights and £200 out of pocket, where they couldn’t even be bothered to inspect the items. Avoid at all costs.
Following the dismissive response I have just received, I would maintain to avoid at all costs. The products I have received are not like the ones advertised, and whilst opaque when unlit, once they are translucent when lit, they are different colours. Nobody has spoken to me on the phone, either it was all by email. A dreadful company and one whom, unsurprisingly, I will never use again, and would advise complete avoidance or a wary approach with caution.
Indeed I would further retort after their “Hi Janet” patronising response and their assumption that a “kindest regards” sign off is enough - what you have failed to deliver I Lite is that you haven’t even had the decency and common courtesy to even inspect the substandard products you have sent out - they are a different colour hence they are substandard. I would say the same about you as a company - substandard completely. Shocking. I repeat to any new customers AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I would never order from this company again. Go to a bigger company where you have more security on returns or incorrect items received!!! Make sure you are aware that you will have to pay to send items back, and then they will charge you an extra 10% from your refund to put the items back in stock……. I received two pendant lights ‘classed as gold’ when in fact they are rose gold. I have different varieties of gold in my house so know what GOLD looks like. The customer service is awful and beyond unhelpful. It just a young girl who doesn’t know what she doing. You buy from smaller businesses and you get stung! Stick to the bigger companies at least it a lot safer, and you know what your getting!
Update to your response! You did not offer an exchange for the correct colour ‘GOLD’. I did not order the wrong colour as we ordered gold and what you sent was more of a rose gold. It still disgusting that you expect a customer to pay a 10% fee to restock your misleading describe light fitting. I will have a lovely day as I’ve managed to find better quality GOLD lights at B&Q for half the price of your poor quality lights!!!!!
