I had a very disappointing experience dealing with Marzena, who appears to run this agency alone. She showed me a flat that I was genuinely excited about, and we agreed on all the key details. I promptly provided all the required paperwork and then heard nothing for a long time, only that she had been away.
After a while, I was told my application had been accepted and was over joyed, I began making arrangements, including booking movers and preparing to relocate. However, when I followed up regarding the exact move date, I was informed that the landlord had suddenly changed their mind. What's particularly frustrating is that the property was rented that same day online, which strongly suggests it may have gone to someone else for a higher offer, hence the hold up.
The lack of transparency and communication throughout this process was unacceptable. I was completely in the dark and effectively strung along while making real commitments based on her assurance.
What's even worse, is that when I later reached out to politely ask if Marzena could help me find a similar property, my message was read and completely ignored, which hurt.
This experience did not feel honest, that she cares about her clients feelings and how her actions may affect them, and certainly didn't act in good faith. At the every least, she should have kept me informed or given me the opportunity to respond to changing circumstances. Instead, I was out of pocket and without a place to move to, which is simply not fair or professional on her part - it shouldn't just be about her commission.
I would strongly caution others to be mindful when dealing with her / her agency and more importantly if she reads this, she self reflects as she shouldn't be running a business this way!
