I would not recommend Imagin to anyone. Extremely poor customer service, overall poor customer experience and continuous issues encountered. Nightmare!
Awful service
Awful service, super rude. Apparently caixa and imagin are not working together anymore. I cant transfer money outside spain all of a sudden. They are not willing to change my settings. I called imagin a couple of times, even 1 person hung op on me.
The Imagin App is the worst online app
The Imagin App is the worst online banking app I have ever used. I also use Monzo and Revolut so I understand how a good banking app should be and Imagin is NOT it.
The "Help Bot" is literally just a useless robot on repeat with the same advice for anything and Customer Service is just as bad.
La Caixa are trying to be "trendy" and "up to date" by having this online app but they have no idea how to actually create something that is technologically advanced. You still need to go into your physical branch if you want to do anything remotely "complex" like change your phone number.
I've been trying to change my number for the last 3 weeks to access my online account. I currently live 4000km away and the only solution they have given me is to "pop-in" to the local branch...there is none. Even if I was stupid enough to think this is the only solution, I cannot even buy my flights back to Spain because I cannot authorise any online payments because I cannot access my account!!!!
If you want to use an online bank then go for the more established ones like Monzo, Revolut, or N26. Don't waste your time with this.

From signing up to performing simple tasks, this app is bare bones of what a banking app should be able to do. The sign up process was so buggy that to even find the right buttons to click and proceed was hard to do. Then after finally opening an account, I needed to get an official bank statement for documentation in Spain.... to realize the app can't even provide that. You have to go to a Caixa bank in person, which the app claims to say that you can perform all bank operations from the comfort of the app alone.

Almost three weeks trying to open an account with this bank. Customer service is none existent. They keep telling me to visit the Caixa Offices, and La Caixa said they have no relationship with them.
Very frustrating, and waste of time. Please stay away from this bank, to save yourself the stress!

What do you expect from anything connected to Caixabank, the most expensive, incompetent, greedy, vindictive bank known to man. I’ve never applied to Imagin but I’m not surprised by the dreadful reviews. With Caixabank, over the years they have: 1. cancelled a mortgage offer the day before a property signing; 2. refused a mortgage after satisfactory valuation, legal and financial checks after three months of assurances that all was well - and after committing to construction costs; 3. refusing to release a portion of a completed mortgage until forced by my legal action. In each case I was accepted without fuss by other banks. Don’t touch Caixabank, and obviously from the reviews here Imagin
Worst customer service I have ever experienced
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I'm working in Spain and I am required to have a Spanish bank account to receive my salary. Because of the pandemic I'm currently residing in Switzerland and around two weeks ago my bank account has been blocked for "security reasons". The online customer service of Imagin bank as well as Caixa bank have both told me to contact the branch directly. I have called them repeatedly, but no one ever picks up the phone. The mailbox message instructs you to leave your name and phone number so they can call you back, I have left my information several times, in spanish and english. No one ever calls me back. I have the phone number and email address of the director of the bank and - surprise surprise - no one answers my emails, picks up the phone or calls me back.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
WORST BANK IN THE WORLD
Imagin Bank is 100% without question the worst bank quite possibly in the entire world... I, like many others, worked in spain for two years prior to the pandemic. My employer created an Imagin Bank account for me to receive money in order to get paid. Due to the pandemic, I was forced to leave and return back to America with my money left in the Imagin bank account. In order to transfer the money that I desperately needed in order to survive this pandemic, they required me to "update my mobile phone number". This is impossible because for over one year now, Imagin bank has not answered 1 phone call, 1 email, and can only update mobile phone numbers physically in person. However, they are not accepting any appointments for me to fly across the world to try to update my mobile phone number so I can have access to my money. This bank as well as CaixaBank have offered 0 help over the last year and have been the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. To offer no solutions, help, or assistance during one of the worst times our world has ever seen is criminal. I highly suggest never using this bank. They have kept my money and have done absolutely nothing to help me. I have messaged them on every form of social media, I have called every possible phone number, and I have tried to contact every branch possible. Not 1 single solution!

I had several problems with the account, I couldn't receive a transfer from another bank, so I needed to open another account in another bank to receive it.

The worst experience I ever had with a bank after several very bad experiences with other Spanish banks... We had issues opening the account at the beginning because of the app but I waited.
When decided to leave Spain permanently after a few months and asked the help of the agents through WhatsApp to close the account they said that I could do it through the app, their help pages on their website direct you to the app to apply for the cancellation of the account which I did... After a week I didn't receive the confirmation email and contacted again, we reapplied and then I reapplied another 2 times until they told me to visit my local branch... BUT I LEFT SPAIN!!!! This is nonsense... I cannot close an account I don't want to have, I no longer live in Spain, we are in the middle of a pandemic and they are telling me to go to a branch when I am 4000km away from Spain!!!! Unbelievable treatment and zero customer service from them....! AVOID AT ALL COSTS as you will face major hassle with them.

Unsafe, avoid at all costs
Do not entrust your money to this bank.
If you are a foreigner they ask you to register with a NIE and then to verify your identity through passport to then give you an autnetication error message.
The customer service is non existent, they give automated responses only or stop answering if they cannot help you.
Although they claim to be endorsed by Caixa Bank the latter refuses to deal with any problem concerning Imagin.
I do not want to think what will happen if you have important sums with them.
It is a shame that this company is allowed to operate in this line of business, they lack the minimum standard requirements.

NO RECOMMENDED!!! Awful experience and customer service. I started the process Like a moth ago or so and everything went well until the verification of my DOB that was captured wrongly from my ID scanner. The system doesn’t allow you to modify the date, so I continued with my application. Then I informed to customer service through WhatsApp (I think is a machine) about the error. They mentioned that I should go in person to one of their offices. Anyway, as a result my application has been denied. So I contacted to CS on WhatsApp looking for advice and they told me to apply again. The issue is that they already have my details and didn’t allow me to amend anything. Therefore my second application has been also denied! The Customer service phone numbers don’t work, WhatsApp is a machine and don’t offer any helpful support.
They just don't care.
Well I started trying to open one of their accounts over a month ago. Filled in all the on line forms and sent them my documentation. Then I received the confirmation email to say the account was open and that the documentation and my debit card would arrive shortly. After two weeks nothing. I contacted them and after bouncing a few emails because they hadn't read the first one they said they're target for getting the card out was 10 to 15 working days. So I waited and when nothing arrived I contacted them again. Same double shuffle because they don't read the emails properly and they told me the target for getting the card out was 15 to 20 working days. Still haven't received anything and they haven't replied to my last email, but I'm expecting, if I ever do get a reply, that they'll tell me the target is 20 to 25 working days, etc, etc. Anything to avoid them actually having to do anything!
BTW they always respond instantly on face book - with an innocuous automated response posing as a human.
