BE AWARE, it's a SCAM! You'll never get your money back!
I used Heymondo for many years, and in the past when I had an emergency it was super easy to get a refund, now they have changed to IMA IBERICA and it's absolutely impossible to get a refund due to all the absurd things they ask, specially if you are in a remote country and had an emergency:

- Certificate of ownership of your bank account
- Copy of certificate of the insurance
- Medical bills in full detail with every proof of payment (go find it!)
- Full medical report, with every single detail, dates, treatments, etc STAMPED and signed by the doctor that treated you (what if they were several doctors, what if you are in a remote country where they don't stamp, what if u are too busy dealing with the emergency and you are in a different location when you are good enough to organice the refund papers?)
- BOARDING PASS (not your booking, no, the actual pass that you have to have kept for no reason)
- BOARDING PASS of RETURN!! (how on earth can you have that if you are still on vacation??)

It's perfectly designed to make you desperate and decide to give up in the middle of the process, because if you don't upload all that it doesn't go through.

After so many years as a client of Heymondo they have lost me thanks to this well designed method of driven you crazy of Ima Iberica, Shame on you, scammers!

This policy is an absolute scam! on the website it states cover of 1500 euros for the loss of baggage then in the summary on the policy it says 500 euros but hidden away in tiny print it says 50 euros. the airline lost my luggage and i was without any clothing for my holiday but because the bag was eventually found and returned to my home country within 21 days they will only pay out 50 euros. that doesn't even cover the amount of time I spent on the policy and the time I had to spend compiling all the receipts and paper work that they requested, let alone the reimbursement of 600 euros I need to cover expenses on clothes, shoes and beauty products. Please not this company operates under a host of different names including global fine and travel fine

it seems to me that they try hard not to provide any information so you desist and don't put the claim. I have been waiting for 12 days to hear from them and nothing. Their emails include the wrong number, not sure why? I found their number and they don't want to tell me what is the average time to resolve a claim - is that really difficult? All process has an average time to get resolved, of course depends on many circumstances but there is an average!

We contracted an insurance with Heymondo for a trip to sudamerica. We lost 2 flights with connections, the first one because of rain and the second one because of a technical issue in the plane.

When we sent the claim, heymondo redirected it to IMA Ibérica, a company that has answered with arrogance denning any reimbursement.

For the first flight, we had Iguazu->Buenos Aires->Santiago->Punta Arenas. We missed the 2nd connection due to a storm. They refused to pay anything (not even the lunch), as the initial connection had less than 2h.

On the second, we couldn't take our flight back due to mech issues (Bogotá->Madrid) and were reallocated to a flight Bogotá->London->Madrid. The insurance company payed just for the dinner we had at the airport, refusing to pay the lunch we had in London and the transport between the hotel and the airport.

In this case, we lost just money and time, but if they treat health issues in the same way, I'd be really worried. Next time, we'll definitely check better who is ultimately responsible and look for the reviews.
