My teacher Jake Organ and my mentor Ben were very inspiring to me and helped me throughout the process.

I really enjoyed my experience at Oriel College, Oxford! The Immerse Team, especially the mentors, did their absolute best to make our time there fulfilling and fun. Although we had our studying sessions, we partook in a lot of fun activities, from a Murder Mystery to Cake & Canvas to a Ballroom Dance to Full Day Excursions to London. I really enjoyed my time there, and I'm really glad that I made a lot of new friends there — for life. I would really recommend attending one of these courses, because it is truly an amazing experience to have!

Participating in the Immerse program in Toronto was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Over the course of two weeks, I had the opportunity to study at the University of Toronto, a university I’ve long considered applying to. This was my second international academic experience (the first one being with SEMVO), but unlike that one, Immerse focused much more on the university environment rather than cultural immersion, something I truly appreciated, as it allowed me to see firsthand what studying at this university would really be like.
One of the most memorable activities was the trip to Niagara Falls. We went on a boat tour to see the falls up close, and we had free time afterward to explore the area, which allowed me to create new memories that added to those I had from a past trip. However, my favorite activity was the study sessions in the dorm rooms. I’m not a very social person, but those quiet, focused moments helped me improve significantly in the area I want to study at university: software development and AI.
I was lucky to have an amazing teacher, Mwansa Hope Jere. Although she wasn’t an official professor at the University of Toronto, that didn’t take away from how great of a person and educator she was. Her teaching style, patience, and warmth made the experience not only effective but also inspiring. Thanks to this program, I’ve now confirmed with confidence that I want to apply to the University of Toronto, and I’m truly grateful for that.
I didn’t participate in every activity, for example, I chose not to visit a very tall tower due to my fear of heights. Still, the Immerse staff offered me alternative options like visiting an aquarium or going to an arcade with a restaurant. Since I was hungry at the time, I chose the arcade and ended up really enjoying it. I also skipped the visit to the island with beaches because of the heat. While the photos looked beautiful, I decided to go with a small group to a nearby mall, although I didn’t enjoy that part much. Thankfully, one of the staff members helped me return to the residence so I could rest and prepare for the rest of the day.
The Immerse staff was exceptional: friendly, respectful, and always ready to help without overwhelming you. They gave us space and independence, but were always there if something happened or if someone missed a check-in.
In short, this experience not only strengthened my academic goals but also helped me grow as a person. The balance of freedom, guidance, and high quality education made this trip something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I sincerely recommend Immerse to anyone who is considering studying abroad or exploring their university options. It’s truly a valuable investment.

I really enjoyed the programme and I would definitely recommend it to others who are unsure of what they want to do in the future, want a glimpse of the college life, or want to learn new things whilst creating bonds with others from different places. These two weeks I spent here went by so fast that I feel sad that it’s ending so soon. Definitely a 10/10!

The group of mentors we had was all very interesting and fun. They also gave us a unique look into the lives of Oxbridge students and how to apply to Oxbridge colleges. It was very insightful and inspiring to chat with them. Our college manager was also very exciting and had seemingly unlimited energy, apart from this she was very understanding and this helped improve the experience. Overall it was a very worthwhile experience and I would highly recommend it.

I loved the calm and relax atmosphere she brought to the class. She was also funny, I didn’t feel out of place. I respected that she included everyone and didn’t leave anyone behind, favoring class engagement and feedback.

The online research program is structured well and incredibly informative. It is easy to understand and gives a clear idea and proper format about how to write a proper research paper, possibly even university level research. Very simple and easy to understand but teaches a high level course. Writing a paper at such level would have been very difficult without the given guidance. Only issue is the mix-up of dates caused people to miss out on part of the lessons.
