For most listings in the city there is a draw and only 15 or 20 messages will be forwarded to the owner of the apartment. I never passed the drawing algorithm in my 20+ attempts. Not sure how big the pool of recipients is at this point but investing CHF 50 for this lottery schene seems like a waste of time.

Hi Micha, searching an appartment in Zurich at the moment is super annoying i do understand. There is not much i can do about that and this is nothing i am hiding or lie about, i acutally say in the signup process that i cannot guarantee that you will be considered for viewing appointments. You have to understand that most people placing ads on my mailing are not real estate professionals but regular people who need to present 1-2 possible tennants to get out of the contract. Very often they are overwhelmed, so the random generator is a good option in a bad situation...
I also have some real estate people placing ads, they never use the random generator in their ad.
But at the end only one person can get the contract. But if one doesnt try, one cant win... And there is no easy solution at the moment if you want to live in Zurich
I wish i could do more or change the situation!
