Buyer beware of ImpakTech.
On May 25, I ordered two Kawasaki Z125 parts from ImpakTech because their website prominently advertised that ALL orders were shipping within 1-3 business days. That shipping promise was one of the main reasons I chose to order from them.
After waiting more than two weeks with no tracking number, no shipment, and no communication, I finally called for an update. That's when I was told that the parts I ordered weren't even in stock and that if I wanted the items I actually paid for, I would have to wait another 2-3 weeks minimum.
When I asked to cancel my order and get a refund, I was transferred to a guy named Juan. Instead of helping, Juan became argumentative and refused to cancel the order. He claimed that the banner saying orders ship in 1-3 business days was "clickable" and that if I had clicked it, I would have seen additional information. The problem is that while I was on the phone with him, I tried clicking the banner on my phone and nothing happened. His response was basically, "Well, it works on my phone."
So according to ImpakTech, customers are expected to rely on information hidden behind a banner that may not even work, while the visible message says something completely different. That's the definition of deceptive advertising.
Juan also told me that if I filed a dispute, it wouldn't matter because he would just respond to it and the dispute would be denied. That attitude alone told me everything I needed to know about how much they value their customers.
The most interesting part? Shortly after the call, the website banner changed from "1-3 business days" to "1-5 business days." Luckily, I took screenshots.
I'm not upset because of a delay. Delays happen. I'm upset because the company advertised one thing, admitted they couldn't deliver what was promised, refused to cancel the order, and then acted like I was the problem for expecting them to honor their own advertised shipping times.
In my opinion, this is a deceptive way to do business, and people deserve to know what they're getting into before placing an order.
***UPDATE! I started dispute with Affirm and they agreed with me and forced them to give me a refund! Save yourself the headache, dont buy from IMPAKTECH!
