I love the amazing designer and non-designer vintage finds Imparfaite offers. The selection is so good. I'm always happy when my orders arrive because the items are even better in person. My only issues are that shipping costs can add up and twice when I purchased an item it was already sold out which was disappointing.

Our shipping costs are the minimum possible, as they are only based on the postal services official costs visible on their website. We don't add any cost, you only pay the shipping fees they provide. You may wonder why some brands are able to provide cheaper shipping prices, it's because they impact the shipping costs on the item itself (applying bigger margins), we chose not to do that on Imparfaite. What we suggest you do in order to lower your basket total is to negotiate prices with sellers and order several items at the same time to combine these shipping expenses with the grouped delivery option.
We are so sorry you opt twice for a piece that was no longer available. It’s always frustrating to say goodbye to something you are so excited to receive and even more when this something is unique… Believe us if your sales could have been saved, we would have done it! A simple mismatch between the seller’s online stock and its actual stock can lead to a cancellation, this is what happened to you unfortunately. This kind of situation is very unusual and we will try to keep it this way. We won't stop encouraging our sellers to update their shop in order for our online catalog to be the most accurate possible, you can count on us.

Great source for vintage clothing
Great source for vintage clothing, however, improvements could be made. I have shopped at imparfaite multiple times. I keep returning to imparfaite due to their huge selection of high quality vintage items, however, there are definitely aspects of shopping here that could use improvements. The website is extremely slow and glitchy. Though it allows for an English translation, this translation service only works part of the time, and you can not search for anything using English terms, no matter what language you set the website. You cannot message the individual seller directly, which means if you have any questions about a particular item (say asking for more detailed measurements), you have to message an imparfaite rep, and then THEY message the seller your question. As you can imagine, it takes a long time to get an answer, if you ever get one. The one time I tried this, the item I wanted was sold to someone else before I got my answer. Other than these complaints, I really love imparfaite, and will continue to shop here. But I would really love it even more if they improved their website and allow direct messages to individual sellers.

You are right! On Imparfaite, when you wish to contact a seller you need to get in touch with our care team (on our chatbox or through email) who will be the messenger for you! Once done, all your questions are immediately redirected to the sellers and answers provided to you once we get them. No time is spared!
As for now, we do not plan to allow direct messages to sellers as it makes it easier for both the seller and the client to have one only interlocutor.
All your suggestions on how to improve the website are really accurate, we already discussed about them internally! Some updates should be soon online.
