A $1600 annual turned into a nightmare…

A $1600 annual turned into a nightmare on a PA28 costing over $5k and now adding lawyers and court costs.

My opinion: UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT, UNTRUSTWORTHY, DISHONEST, & HIGHLY UNETHICAL.

WARNING: After 6 months he was still not finished and paperwork incomplete. He kept the plane for the entire flying season. He then took the plane hostage after adding mysterious charges, and fees to the bill - contrary to terms that he agreed to before he took the plane. I had no choice but to pay if I wanted my plane back. After paying he still refused to move the plane out of his hangar.

BUYER BEWARE:
- I paid for a new Concorde battery However, I found out using the battery serial # that Imperia Aviation had installed an old, used battery instead of the new one. That battery was also drained completely when plane was finally returned to me.
- New interior was damaged
- My tow bar was broken and not returned with the plane. I was not told. I'm not even sure how one can break a PA28 tow bar.
- He returned the plane with flat front tire.
- He broke a spark plug
- I had to pay for the damages he caused.

Imperia Aviation engages in scary, dishonest, unethical business practices.

His word means nothing. Do not believe anything that you're told, because the story will change as soon as they have your aircraft and then you are stuck.

I am still discovering problems after the plane was serviced here. It will have to go through another inspection by a different qualified A&P because Imperia Aviation's work cannot be trusted.

Do not risk lives by flying a plane that was serviced by an untrustworthy A&P.
