The survey report was sent the day after the survey and the information was well laid out in detail. The survey was done properly and the information was easy to read.

Yes you do get generic lines as to house issues but you have to remember that houses of different generations weren’t built by the standards of today, but it was easy to clarify as the surveyor did contact me to explain why certain things are flagged up . At least they did check the property generic response lines or not !
So for peace of mind I was happy with the survey and the whole process was simple and efficient

The survey was organised in a timely manner and the report provided quickly once the survey was completed. The report was well laid out with a priority remediation status provided for any issues found. Communication was excellent and the cost reasonable

Absolutely amazing service, I cannot rate these guys highly enough. Very prompt on replying to emails,the survey was carried out quickly and of an amazing standard going above and beyond what was priced. The surveyor even went back to gain access to the garage which wasn't open during his first visit! Cannot fault them, would 100% use them again.

Job done and iMyHome is a great idea and provides value for money. The communication was confusing and contradicting and survey company allocated was changed but not communicated. Then the survey company also emails so that adds another channel that is not required in my opinion. Once those issues are rectified I would be giving 5 stars. For now it’s a 2.5.

I my home was very satisfactory. The survey was carried out promptly and was sufficient in detail.
We chose a house buyers survey rather than a full structural survey as we are buying a flat. It fulfilled our requirements.

The survey was arranged and completed promptly and provided exactly what we were informed it would. It was made clear we needed to send back the signed terms and conditions before the report would be released to us and when we did that, we received the report within a week.

My only negative is that the website is very hard to navigate and find where the reports and other information is. This could be made a lot easier.

I had a level 2 survey and valuation carried out, this was carried out by Connells on the date stated and I received the report a few days later.
The report was very detailed and gave me enough information to decide whether to go through with the purchase.
Next time I wouldn’t waste my money on the valuation but overall this survey was good value for money.
Even though I have read a few poor reviews my experience was good so on this I would use this company again.

From the outset everything seemed great. We paid for a Homebuyers level 2 on the 6th of the month, the same day it was allocated to Connells to do the survey. I was promised a 5-10 day survey window yet it took til the 16th of the month to get a date booked in as no one had bothered. It was only through loads of calls that I made chasing it up and calling Connells direct which got the date booked in and confirmed. Now bare in mind we were promised a 5-10 day window.....we paid for the survey on the 6th of the month and the survey didn't happen until the 27th of the same month.

The quality of the report leaves a lot to be desired too. There is about 5 pictures in the report and only very brief descriptions of any potential issues. It was a very generic report, only just personalised to the house.

I sent a formal complaint to iMyHome and have yet to have a response two weeks later. It just shows how they handle a customer issue. Absolutely shocking.

Dont waste your money, pay a bit extra and use a reputable company.

They promised estimates of repair costs in the fee quoted, but these were explicitly omitted from the actual contract. When I questioned that, they said they couldn't do it and of course by then we were committed and on a tight timeframe so we went ahead. They promised a courtesy call from the surveyor on the day of the survey because the report would take ten business days. I chased that call for a week, again losing precious time (we were first time buyers and our landlord was pushing for a move-out date). I have no complaints with the survey, and in fact it was delivered in 7 business days, but that was conducted by a separate company - Gibsons Surveyors. iMyHome were terrible and dismissive in everything they actually did themselves - the number I was given often entirely unavailable and the "portal" on their website is a joke.

A terrible company that are happy to use the likes of Connells. All sound great on the phone, but failed to send me the contract between myself and them. They should be avoided because you don’t know who they are appointing, and if they are happy to use the likes of Connells, you don’t know who they will cheap scape on.
