A thorough course with an engaging tutor but not for the lightly committed.
I really enjoyed my time doing the course and found the tutor Aaron particularly fun, likeable, knowledgable, engaging and very patient when dealing with students of different abilities (though are Microsoft certified instructor for one module in the final weeks was slightly more wooden)
Whilst I gained a lot of knowledge, the intense pace of the course will mean I'll definitely need to go over some of the course with the resources provided afterwards just to ensure I've fully got my head around some of the concepts and that is partly the biggest flaw of the course. It is not for the faint of heart and a lot of dedication and commitment to using a lot of spare time to go over learning as by the time you've just got to grips with one topic, its time for the next which breakneck speed cause many people in the course to drop out. This did cause issues with my industry project which I don't feel they were as better organised to handle this eventuality as they could have been.
I think more effort could have been made to group people with different ability levels as well.
That said if you're prepared for it, it does provide a fantastic opportunity to learn technical skills as well as some career coaching advice.
Can't overstate how great this bootcamp was
I have to first say our instructor Aaron was an amazing tutor to have. Patience, expertise, jokes, each lesson was challenging but made easier due to his abilities and personality. Having 60 odd newbies to coding and never broke a sweat once, happily taking time to explain, re explain and demonstrate things.
I joined the software engineering cohort. The course content was thorough; careers and personal development, expertise talks, it was a well thought out programme and I learnt a lot. You will be challenged, but it is worth it, to push through and grow. I'd recommend this boot camp over and over again. Thanks Aaron and everyone over at skills city.
I thoroughly enjoyed the SE course and…
I thoroughly enjoyed the SE course and learned a large amount of programming languages in the space of 12 weeks. The instructor was extremely patient and supportive. Overall, I would recommend it.
Excellent Introduction in to AI Software Engineering
The classes are well thought out and the teachers are extremely knowledgable and supportive. The industry projects help provide you with real world experience, especially regarding project management and problem solving. I have truly enjoyed the last 12 weeks on this course and I am disappointed it has had to come to an end. Thankfully there is still support there from the careers team until I find my new position in the tech industry.
Thanks @Aaron for all the support over the last 12 weeks.
Course: AI-Driven Software Engineering
Great Bootcamp course
I have learned useful skills and components in my ai driven software engineering bootcamp course and I have learned coding, how to create a website, and I have learned databases the staff is great and helped me, the resources are useful. The only criticisms I can give is that the course is very fast paced, and it was difficult to learn so many different subjects in a short amount of time. Overall I recommend the course if you are interested in software engineering.

challenging but worth it
The course at the start is challenging overall for someone with little experience. You will be pushed to enhance yourself in a good sense and be able to use different programming languages quickly. The instructor is very patient and will take the time to explain any issues you might have. Overall, I would recommend it as it's only 12 weeks from start to finish.

Fast-paced, great instructor, helpful careers team
- Technical instructor very willing to help, explains topics well and provides extra learning resources if asked
- Assigned with a mentor who is supportive in attaining career goals (whether tech or non-tech)
- Pushed to apply learning and research further to complete an industry project
- Sessions to unwind, get to know other students and reflect on progress and important general questions
- Weekly career sessions filled with helpful tips
- Access to a job portal dedicated to the tech sector
- However, it was fast-paced so not able to master everything. Still need to look back on the learning materials. Also, many found it difficult to balance job search, project work, and reviewing learning materials.

would recommend highly for anyone looking to getting into tech
This course has given me a solid foundation in Software Engineering and I can't thank everyone enough at Skills City and IN4 group. The technical training, careers sessions, project work and personal development sessions have all been engaging, fun and really enjoyable to attend. The fact I started out with zero coding experience to now being confident in creating a website and building a text based adventure game is a testament to how effective the training is. Thank you again.

Huge thanks to IN4 for providing a wonderful bootcamp
Firstly I would like to thank the entire team at the boot camp for their extended support. It has been a breezy couple of months with lots of learning, project work, HR assistance right from assisting with our CV to counseling on how to prepare for interviews. In short this is one of the wow kind of an experience which can't be explained in any different ways. The only flip side of the boot camp is it offers loads of study topics and its absolutely on the onus of oneself to keep learning even after the camp to excel and master the course that they are after.
Thanks to every one @Mo sir for your inspirational pep talks, @Mariam for HR insights, @Georgios for your project guidance and @Amanuel our course mentor for teaching us tirelessly with a smile on your face.

Strong Technical Training and Career Support, But Intense Pace for Beginners
I recently completed the AI driven Software engineering Skills City Bootcamp, and overall, it was a valuable experience with several strong points. The technical training was well-curated, offering a comprehensive and hands-on approach that significantly boosted my understanding of the material. The LMS was easy to use and resources available.
The career support team was another highlight of the program. They were incredibly supportive, assisting with every aspect of the job search process. From crafting a professional CV to optimizing LinkedIn profile and preparing for interviews, the personalized guidance made a huge difference.
The personal development support was also great. The bootcamp offered valuable resources and advice that helped me grow on a personal level. The emphasis on soft skills and personal growth was a significant benefit.
However, there is some room for improvement. The program was packed with numerous assignments, projects, and multiple programming languages within a tight 12-week period. This intense pace made it challenging for participants like me, especially those without prior experience, to fully absorb and learn the material. A slightly more balanced approach, with perhaps more time dedicated to mastering each skill before moving on, would make the program more accessible to beginners.
Overall, while the bootcamp offers excellent training and support, a bit more flexibility in pacing would enhance the experience, especially for those new to the field.
Thanks to all those that made the bootcamp happen!

Disappointing - Game Engine Bootcamp
I went into the course under the assumption it was meant for varying levels of experience, however, if you like me have used Unity before I would not recommend it. I completed 1 out of 3 months of the boot camp however the level of the course felt like it would be appropriate for beginners only and even then Unity Learn has extensive resources for beginners that are freely available and I did notice the lectures taking from these tutorials at times. Also the course based on the timetable doesn't feature any c# programming until just 4 sessions in week 7 of 12 but I feel most will be like myself where programming within Unity is one of the key things I was expecting to be taught, programming is also the first skill they list on their website for what you will learn.
The website also lists using Unreal however the boot camp only covers Unity, I expected this but I spoke to others who only discovered it after starting the course.
Beyond the level of teaching, I also felt the teaching methods were not up to standard.
Teams meetings were used to teach and there was a group of ~50 people, however any time someone in the group had a problem the instructor would stop to help the one person resulting in the 49 others having to sit and wait for sometimes very long amounts of time. I considered this a substantial waste of time and it was one of my biggest concerns with the boot camp. As the participants in the camp ranged from some experience to completely new these interruptions have been fairly constant over this first month. I'd suggest separate teaching and support sessions or breaking lectures into a first-half lesson and second-half support session would be a better solution for making good use of everyone's time.
The job listing portal they give access to is bare-bones. The number of relevant IT jobs is small and there were as of the last time I checked 0 games-related jobs. There was also no way to filter out apprenticeship-level jobs so overall it was not better than any of the standard job search websites I had come across before.
I cannot say much on the industry project offered due to NDA however I will say I wasn't impressed by the brief and it only seemed tangentially related to the games industry which is not what I was hoping for as the boot camp describes it as "a working game" on their website and also elsewhere lists contacts within the games industry but as far as I can tell these were just guest speakers.
I'm giving 2 instead of 1 star as if you are a complete newbie to Unity I can see there being some benefits to the course and some of the skills/careers talks were useful for things like CV, teamwork etc. However, I'd suggest if you have any experience it's probably not for you.

Not as advertised.
Unfortunately, the company forces us into signing NDA's so I cannot physically express my opinion in it's entire truth or detail on this platform, and there's a lot of constructive criticism I have passed on directly in private with the company.
What I can say, is I have taken the choice to leave the Bootcamp as the promises on their webpage were far different than what was actually received and feels incredibly dishonest.
This is a shame as this could genuinely be something incredible for people, instead it turned out to be completely the opposite.
Good luck to those who do want to still go through with this, but if I'm being genuinely honest, I cannot reccommend it and 12 weeks of your life will be better used elsewhere.

Cloud Security Bootcamp
For those of us with minimal tech knowledge, the bootcamp proved VERY useful. You have to be ready to put in the work over the 14 weeks, as its a lot of information to take. Tutor was also GREAT.
Overall.... satisfied and glad i did it.
