I travelled to Mexico from the UK in October 2025 to attend a breathwork course organised by Inner Camp.
On arrival at the resort, which was in a very remote jungle location, I found the staff to be impersonal and unwelcoming. I initially set this aside in order to focus on the course.
At the time of booking, the confirmation email stated that Alexis would be one of the trainers. He was not present at the course due to being on a family holiday, and this change was not communicated beforehand.
The accommodation consisted of individual cabins with no Wi-Fi or phone signal, leaving participants with no external communication. On the second day, another participant informed me of allegations she had heard regarding the owner of the resort, including serious misconduct. I understand these were allegations shared by a third party; however, given the remote location and lack of connectivity, this information caused me significant concern for my personal safety.
I raised these concerns with one of the trainers, who said he would contact Inner Camp. Due to time zone differences, no immediate response was available. That night, I felt uncomfortable remaining at the resort.
The following morning, I decided that the environment was not suitable for a course requiring emotional openness and vulnerability. A group Zoom meeting was held with representatives of Inner Camp and a counsellor. All students were present, and there was no opportunity for individual participants to speak. We were told that feelings of fear were related to personal trauma and that this was part of the work. I experienced this response as dismissive of the safety concerns being raised. We were also informed that leaving the course would result in no refund and no option to complete the course remotely.
I chose to leave the resort. While waiting for transport, a member of resort staff repeatedly passed the area on a bicycle and stared at us, which I personally experienced as intimidating.
In retrospect, the course content I attended was acceptable. However, when booking, it was stated that a counsellor would be on site, which was not the case. I also found it inconsistent to be encouraged to trust one’s intuition, while concerns were discouraged when raised.
After returning home, I contacted Inner Camp multiple times to explain my experience and request a refund, but I did not receive a satisfactory resolution. I later received a refund through my credit card provider.
I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision.

The Holosomatic Breathwork onsite training was an absolutely amazing experience, far beyond my expectations.
The training is extremely well structured and thoughtfully organized, combining immersive breathwork sessions that allow you to experience different breathwork styles, along with practical exercises and rich Q&A moments. Everything takes place in a kind, caring, joyful, and supportive environment.
Alexis and Jordan are incredible trainers and facilitators. The way they transmit their knowledge is both clear and deeply embodied, and I feel genuinely grateful to have learned from them. I also feel very lucky to have met such beautiful, inspiring souls among the other students ! The sense of connection and community was truly special.
As for the online training, I’m very impressed by how user-friendly and intuitive the platform is. Learning online feels almost like a game, which makes the experience engaging and enjoyable. It’s also wonderful to be able to connect with other like-minded people along the way.
I wholeheartedly recommend InnerCamp to anyone interested in breathwork, personal growth, and meaningful human connection 🥰

This technique has such a big positive impact on my life and my clients! 🥰 And I‘m already planning to learn more from the innerCmap trainings especially because Alexis, Jordan, Anastasia, Joanna, Marjolein and the whole team are amazing people with so much love and knowledge that it’s just the most amazing chance to learn and grow! Highly recommend trying all their self-practice Programs and if it fits also do a proper training with them as I did 🥰 highly recommended! 🥰🥰

The Innercamp Holosomatic Breathwork course was truly a transformational experience – beyond words.
I’ve have just spent a week in Málaga learning holosomatic breathwork in a beautiful setting, and I can honestly say it was one of the most powerful and transformative experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt held in a safe, supportive space surrounded by genuinely like-minded people.
The breathwork sessions were profound and deeply releasing, allowing me to let go of layers I didn’t even realise I was carrying. I felt free to be fully myself — open, emotional, vulnerable, and authentic — without judgement. The facilitators Alexis and Jordan were incredibly professional, intuitive, and compassionate, guiding the process with care and integrity.
Beyond the practices themselves, the sense of community and connection made the experience even more special. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and more aligned with myself than I have in a long time.
I’m deeply grateful for this retreat and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking real inner work, healing, and personal transformation.

Thank you InnerCamp Team for organising such an incredible Holosomatic breathwork facilitator training. The location in Malaga was ideal to disconnect and integrate the experience, excellent facilities, delicious food and surrounded by nature. The entire process was smooth. I received access to the platform and learning material (online + text book) at the beginning of the course and the training’s structure was clearly explained in the first session. Alexis and Jordan were absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable and supportive.
Highly recommended!

I went in with no expectations and honestly didn’t know what would come up, this is my second experience with Innercamp. The session was challenging at times, both physically and mentally, but it led to a real sense of release, connection and pure strength.
I left feeling empowered and more present than I’ve felt in a long time, some parts felt out of this world 🌎
I can’t wait to start learning the Holosomatic Method with Innercamp at the end of the month. Very grateful for the team 🙏🧡

I've done many forms of therapy and decided to try this after a recommendation. To me it feels like an expensive fad that borders on a cult at times. We've been doing breathing therapies for thousands of years so its nothing new - just repackaged for marketing on tiktok. I didn't like how separate to 650 other people it makes you feel - this is the problem with society on a wider level. You're in your own bubble with headphones and a mask on, sitting in an uncomfortable theatre chair for 5 hours. Traditional group therapy would be much more meaningful, but clearly not as monetisable as what they have set up here. I didn't like them asking you to repeatedly use your phone during the event - a barrier to genuine connection. As others have noted there is filming throughout; their priority is clear - marketing future events.
It is largely breathing and unexplained pseudo science. Alexis got louder and more like a preacher as it went on, shouting about "being connected to universal energy" while I tried to remember to contract my perineum and breathe at the right time. I found him hard to understand and too into himself. Though there were some short moments of peace, I have had more success with several other forms of therapy, and would suggest people try other things tailored to them, rather than this one size fits all add to basket option.
UPDATE response below clearly written by AI. Not a good look.

5 hours of me time: deep breathwork/ somatic healing/ trauma release/ neuroscience.
As a bereaved Mum; bereaved sibling; separated wife etc. I feel lighter & more positive about my future than I have in a long time...
Thank you @Innercamp!

I went to the in person holosomatic event and it was mainly breathwork to me it also felt very performative. A negative was the constant cameras everywhere that felt invasive to privacy and counterproductive.
The seats in the theatre were very uncomfortable and I think someone said it before it's not safe in case trauma comes up I didn't see facilitators walking the room just camera people, and there wouldn't be space to step over people as space was very tight.
While there are a lot of people assisting the event, they felt like bouncers ensuring you leave your headset with them when you go or else they won't let you.
Breathwork is facilitated well, aside from that they try to apply nlp in terms of manifesting and anchoring it's not very well done in my opinion there is a lot of fast fire questions way to many in succession and positive affirmations fired off at the audience. Might work for some people (several have come before and there was a lot of emotion in the room) just didn't in my opinion deliver what was sold for me.

I really enjoyed the summit and am grateful to have found Innercamp. I felt there was a good balance of breath work and explanation for me. I think if someone were a complete beginner they would need more explanation.
I look forward to the next event.
