The heel is slightly too high, which caused friction and blisters.
They look amazing,I can't wait for X country season to begin now 😉

This pair in U.S. women's size 11 was my first try -- I should have paid more attention to the sizing chart. I usually wear U.S. women's 10.5 or men's 9.5, and in the end I wound up with the MudTalon Speed in U.S. men's size 11. (No Inov8 women's shoes big enough for me!) It's wildly off from the sizing I've seen in other shoes. So, measure your feet carefully and believe the size chart! I am VERY happy with the pair that did fit. Wonderful grip on slopes with slippery dry grass and slopes with mud. (I'll put a review over at that page too.)

Really comfortable, breathable and excellent grip. Plenty of width in the wide fit

I'm disappointed, I love the look of the shoe but they rubbed my heal on my first run in them. Managed to trip over nothing on one of my next runs. They made my right foot go numb when I did 10k in them. Have logged a total of 25 miles in them but doubt I'll wear them much more

Have worn these shoes for cross country and OCR training and they are excellent. Very light, comfortable with good grip. They drain pretty quickly - only had them a few weeks so cannot comment on if they will be value for money yet, but so far really pleased. They are quite a generous fit so normal shoe size should be fine

I haven't actually worn these outside yet but they look super comfortable and friends rated them highly. Pleased with the feeling and look so far I am sure they will get well used this winter.

Use these for canicross, they suit my feet brilliantly, don’t think I could be without them, just wish they would wear a bit better as they are only lasting about 3 months, have had 3 pairs so far and have 2 more in reserve.Thank you for designing a great trail shoe that seems to suit horrible bunion feet better than any other brand.

Purchased for canicross, was unsure to start with as they felt a bit sloppy, but have got used to them, and I must admit I quite like them,so much so have brought a second pair.Wide toe box is great for my awful feet, I have a bunion and these have been great accommodating that, with no issues. Only negative is the inner heel area has already started to split,

I bought these for the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race after falling in the mud twice on a training race two weeks ago on the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath. I wore them today for a race along the same stretch, but 12 miles or so longer. Game changer! No falling today -- I felt really solid running in the slippy mud. Great shoes.
The best inov8 shoe I’ve tried so far. Looking forward to putting them to the test with some OCR races.
Pros: - The 8mm lugs are a huge improvement in traction in mud compared to the 4mm lugs on my other shoes. The rubber isn't quite as grippy on wet rock as graphene, but pretty close. - The upper is some kind of plastic(?) wizardry that drains water from inside the shoes but doesn't absorb it, so they never get heavy even when saturated. - The usual great Inov8 fit with a slim heel and midfoot to stop you slopping around, and space in the toebox for toe splay. I chose the wide fit and it felt similar to the same size in the G270. The upper material feels a bit more structured when you try them on, but I didn't notice it causing any discomfort when running. - While you can sort of feel the lugs under you, I found these comfortable to wear on road and hard trail and would absolutely choose them for a mixed terrain run so I had the performance in mud. Con: The heel is incredibly stiff and reinforced to point slightly forwards. When descending, your ankle position means this jabs into your achilles with every step. Usually I find Inov8s perfectly comfortable right out of the box- with these I got blisters on both heels and a bruised sensation that was still there after a week. I have a pretty skinny heel and have always found that the Inov8 shape and a racers loop are plenty to lock me into their shoes, so this seems an unnecessary feature that causes more problems than it solves. Hopefully I am just a sensitive soul as these are otherwise excellent.
I have many Innov8 trainers and walking boots which are usually really comfortable. I used this pair on a run after testing on a quick try around the house. Sadly the combination of the facts that the heel grip is both minimally padded (unlike the trailfly and x-talon) and higher than usual means that after a short run my ankle and heel were rubbed raw and I won't be able to use them again. A huge shame as they were lovely and springy and other than the heel area very comfortable.

Look great, not worn yet
Fantastically made shoe but comes up a little small, I’d recommend at least a size bigger for comfort/fit. Returns are slow, Mine went back over a week ago and still not been processes
These sounded too good to be true when I read the specifications for them! However, they totally live up to expectations: super grippy in mud but also stick well to rock. A fit that is actually wide enough for my very wide feet. Uppers are quick drying and look like they are going to be very durable. These are now my go to shoes for running on the varied terrain of Dartmoor; love them!
Lightweight, waterproof, good fit, great grip, very supportive, glad I made the purchase!
I've had a good fit from inov8 trail running shoes in the past so was expecting the same with these, however the toe box was too narrow, impinging on small toes, but at the same time loads of dead space around arch meaning my foot could move too much inside the shoe.
