Seems a perfect fit for orienteering, between the old "Mud Claw" and the "X-Talon". Will be using them for many of my spring races. Also: a lightweight shoe, feels great on.

Measured feet using the sizing guidance which indicated size 8.5 Wide when often I have had size 8, so I went for the recommended 8.5 Wide. Having the wide fitting is very comfortable with no squished toes, but does not feel sloppy on uneven terrain. Feels sure footed and good to run in forest terrain. Drained well after being submerged knee deep in a ditch and remained comfortable. Easy to clean soles and upper and quick to dry off. Very pleased with these shoes.

Great traction in snow-packed trails. Feels very planted. Use all the lace eyelets to prevent heel lift inside the shoe.

1st pair of inov8 running shoes and for this time of year in ankle deep mud and slop I couldn't have picked a better shoe The grip and traction is great no slipping and sliding around anymore. Fresh out of the box I wasn't sure about the fit around the ankle compared to my other brand shoes Almost felt like my heel wasn't in the shoe, but laced up and out running the fit is perfect. I will definitely be wearing more inov8 running shoes in the future
