These are wonderful, well-built quality shoes that last - my third pair! Solid tread, comfortable for hours, water resistant, sturdy and great colors. Highly recommend.

I bought it for my wife because she switched jobs and now spends a lot of time in production facilities and on her feet. I already own two Inov8 products and they are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned so I wanted to spread the joy. So far she is loving them.

I absolutely love these! I suffer with arthritis and plantar fasciitis so I use these as everyday shoes! So supportive and reduce the pain in my knees too. Highly recommended!
I have wide feet and these are great. Can fit hiking socks in too. Well made and warm as toast

Ugly, stiff, and very small. Did not fit in my size and a size up felt the exact same as the size below it. It’s as though all their sizing shrunk as I got another pair of shoes from them that was tiny recently. That’s too bad because I once got a pair I liked but that was over a year ago. It was at least a streamlined return process. I wouldn’t have bothered leaving a review but it seems as though they ask for one every day of the week so here you go.

Suffering with extreme Plantar Fasciitis I have found these shoes very comfortable. Great that I can put my own insoles into them.
Good light shoe, feels a wee bit long on the toe box but I’ve had no foot slide so feels good
These were so comfy from the word go and takes the pressure off my knees. Definitely feel like you can walk further in comfort especially being waterproof as well. They also look pretty smart and feel happy out in them casually dressed.
Looking forward to more walks with these great trail shoes. Look even better/subtler in real life than photo.
At the time of this review I still need to test these on a longer walk in more varied terrain, however the 2 relatively short walks I have completed I am very impressed with comfort, fit and support on all levels. I am looking forward to taking these trail shoes on many hikes over many years, I have complete confidence in them.
This is my second pair of inov-8 walking trainers which I purchased just before a recent coastal walking holiday. They were really comfortable from the first walk onwards and the Gore-tex membrane is a definite advantage over my original pair. I have wide feet and they are an excellent fit.

Fit and feel is really personal and our product designers do their best to please as many people as possible with their designs, and we normally get such good feedback on this model, so I can only apologise again that it has not worked for you.
All our shoes are neutral and not specifically designed to provide support. While it makes sense on the road to have neutral shoes and support shoes, once you get onto the trail (and your foot is having to land slightly different with every foot strike), a supportive shoe would not work the same. However, all of our insoles can be removed and replaced with a different insole or orthotic in you prefer.
In regard to width, we have graded the fit of all our shoes from 1 to 5 to make it easy for you to find the perfect width fitting for your shoe. Grade 1 represents our closest, most precise fit. At the other end of the scale, Grade 5 has the widest fitting toe box. As a rough guide, Grade 1 represents an industry B fit, while Grade 5 equates to a 2E fit in the forefoot. The X-Talon 255 V2 score a 4 on our width scale, giving them a wide fit in the toe box.

Extremely comfortable, no breaking in required. Great for those with wide feet. I have only done 50k in them so far but no signs of wear and have kept feet dry: More cushioning than most, think this show is rather unique and was only show that I could find that met the criteria I was looking for, they are even good for jogging. Well done Inov8
Lots of room in the toe box but still a solid fit giving confidence on the technical wet downhills. Does really well in mud and solid performance on bedrock trails. Great shoe!
Inov8 have been my go to for years and these are no exception. I just did a 105 mile route across the Scottish Highlands in these and they were perfect! Handled the rocky runs and cycling perfectly, absolutely no blisters (I wore in for 1 week before I went to be sure but I knew they'd be great straight off!). Very comfy, but not too much around the arch so no issues with shin splints I had in the past with other brands.
I can painfully feel every rock wearing these shoes. The fit is great, grip is amazing, everything about them is good - except I can’t wear them . My feet actually ache from bruising because there is no cushion. I put inserts in, but that’s not enough.

Our X-Talon 255 V2's are designed with a close to the ground, responsive feel, with minimal cushioning. While this suits a wide ranges of our customers, it sounds like that you might benefit from a shoe with more cushioning in the midsole.

Nowadays, every single shoe is so high off the ground that it's nice to find one with such a low profile. The only issue is that the heel is a bit tight and stiff so would recommend breaking them in at first before going out for a hilly run. Also, I wished the shoelaces were longer.
