Fabulous for wide feet. Most wide fit boots are wide in the heel and still taper at the toes. These are just the opposite, supportive heel and midfoot with plenty of room for my very wide square toed feet! I have walked a good many miles in these and now feel qualified to write a proper review. I already have the roclite shoes and boots which I have been very happy with, but these are truly something else. Superbly comfortable straight out of the box, sizing is better too (only one size up from normal hiking boot size) so a better fit. They have proved waterproof through muddy and very boggy ground,even through small streams. With a thicker sole than the roclites,they make a great winter/ wet weather boot. The grip is amazing on all surfaces,even on slippery rocks. Being synthetic they do run warm, so it is even more important to remove the insoles after use and let the boots air properly. My mistake with the roclites,which now have a smell impossible to eradicate! Personally I am not keen on the feel of the insoles and my recovering plantar fasciitis feet need more arch support, so I have swapped these. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have found a truly wide fit comfortable boot at last........try them,you won't be sorry.

The Roclite Max Mid GTX is a very comfortable shoe to wear from the moment you put them on your feet. No breaking in required. The wide toebox gives ample space for your toes to spread out. They look very well made, but we will see over time how they hold up.

A slightly heavier but more supportive and comfortable boot than the previous model, and that was very good. They also has a wider toebox, so much less chance of blisters. These are my favourite waterproof walking boots for long distances and when carrying a heavy pack. I've been using Inov8 footwear for years and am very impressed with the recent upgrade. I've tested all the Roclite range and they're all good for different types of hiking.

Used these for a 50k walk and run direct from the box. Very dry tracks so hard to judge how they would be in the wet, imagine they would be fine. Used to INOV8 trainers fit, so found the uppers a bit uncomfortable but expect they will wear in with more use

Although I have not wear it on the mountains yet , I found it very solid, comfortable and quality waterproof material. It was an upgrade from a previous Inov-8 shoe that I had and definitely more improved in every way .
