I have a high arch and instep, and a narrow heel, and have tried on a dozen different brands of trail running shoes, only to have heel slippage and/or a sloppy midfoot fit. Innov8s fit my foot shape perfectly and the toe box gives enough space for my toes to splay. I wear a 7.5 in street shoe, and usually an 8 in running shoes, but went with 8.5 based on the size chart, which was perfect. I also love that even the 'max' cushion is still a lower stack height than most of the overbuilt trail shoes these days. Loved the vibrant green color, and the vibram outsole tread felt rugged enough to withstand my local technical rocky hardpack trails. Unfortunately after running up and down my stairs for a few minutes to test, I started getting a really painful pressure point on my bunion from the stylized rubber texture that goes around the toe box. This was painful enough that I couldn't justify keeping them. If that style feature gets removed in next year's version I'll definitely be back to buy them!
