These are the best trail runners i ever had. I have wide feet so getting shoes can sometimes be challenging. These INV8's came in a Wide and they fit perfectly. ( I did size up 1/2 size). I've worn them running in the snow and on trails. I plan to use them to hike the Grand Canyon this spring. They are extremely comfortable and have good tread for hiking/running on rocks and over uneven ground. Another thing I really like was the fact that in a Wide size there were lots of choices on the color. I got a really cool blue and orange. Very happy with my purchase.

Great shoes with great tread and grip, and like the toe cap protection. Very breathable. Ordered a few sizes and kept a half size larger than my usual & wide fit to accommodate bunions. Toe box area feels great, room to splay toes. Only 'issue' is the heel area feels not very supportive/locked in, feels like I'm rolling around, maybe due to the side fit? I do have quite narrow ankles. My other running shoes have padding on the sides that holds your heel in really nicely so maybe just not used to them yet? will continue to try different lacing options.

I’ve been wearing inov8 for over 15 yrs now & this is the first time I’ve had to size up 1/2 size to get the right fit. A bit strange for the wide fitting! Needless to say I love the feel of the shoe, I feel I’m running in it, rather than on it which can happen with a max shoe. Two negatives were the material on my last pair started to breakdown and split before I lost cushioning. Which was a first. Another downside was the inner heel support on my right foot started to fail & bulge outward despite the laces being tight. This has never happened on an inov8 shoe before. I get needing to keep the shoe light but perhaps this has been parred back too much.

I've worn Inov8 for many years. I was ecstatic when this model came out in a 300 max. This shoe has everything I need. The wide toe box, iconic grip and comfort. Unfortunately, the heel slips especially when I'm climbing steep mountains. I haven't had an Inov8 shoe so this. The heel cup on the previous models was one of my favorite features. I'm hoping that, as they break in, I'll be able to snug the laces down enough to minimize this. Otherwise, great shoe. I'll be keeping both pairs.

I was a huge fan of the Trailfly G 300s and wore them on multiple ultras. I didn't think there could be a better shoe until I got a pair of the TrailFly Max. They're superior in every way. They provide incredible cushioning but feel responsive. The enlarged toebox even on the standard width is welcome. I'm headed to Moab 240 in a few weeks and these are top in my arsenal of shoes.

I think one of the shoes is defective. The heal cushion collapses/folds with any weight making my ankle roll in on the inside of the right shoe. It gives me a sore ankle. It is just not holding up my heel properly. The heel on the left shoe is holding up. I first noticed it on a long difficult trail that was rough with rocks, the shoes did not perform at all due to this issue. I've taken it out on a graded dirt road thinking perhaps the terrain was just too rough for the shoe but the same thing happened on a run on a flat road. This happened in under 50, probably under 40 miles. A garbage shoe.
