Having run in inov8 shoes for years (started with the fantastic G300), the newer shape fit was familiar from the Trailfly. I think this shoe is 1/2 a size down from previous models. Boomerang footbed is excellent. They actually feel slightly more cushioned than my Trailfly. The grip is very confidence inspiring. So far I’ve run on mud, dry rock, wet rock, tarmac, forestry trail and heather. No snow and ice (yet). After 20km yesterday I feel they are a very good shoe but I’m going to need the trailtalon max to come out in my size for the winter spine race.

I’ve owned Inov8 trainers before and was impressed by their comfort, so I decided to buy a different pair. Absolutely fantastic trainer. Light, comfortable and hard wearing. The trail talon deals with all surfaces exactly the same. I like the wider toe box and the fit is perfect if you up it by a half size. Some might argue about the price, but you get what you pay for. Can’t fault them

These shoes replaced the Roclite model that I have had for years. I bought the Trailtalon in the same size, US 12.5, and find the fit to be comfortable. My neuropathy likes the firmer feel of the Trailtalon. Over the weekend, I was able to better navigate the uneven grounds of a local outdoor festival.

It's early days yet but so far I'm impressed with my TrailTalons. I have done one 16 mile and one 25 mile hike in them. I got one blister on my first hike but I think I bought a half size too big which has resulted in some heel lift and the offending blister. On my second hike I paired up my normal hiking socks with liner socks and suffered no more blisters. I can't blame the footwear for my discomfort. As I say, I now think I should have gone a half size smaller. Other than the above, the TrailTalons are super comfortable. I have the 'wide' version to accommodate my duck feet, and my toes are loving them. They have so much space to spread out; even when they swell up on hot days on a long hike. I look forward to many more walks in them.

I've used Inov8 running shoes before but I wanted to try trail running and these have been perfect for trails close to my house. The sizing was perfect and the delivery was very prompt.

They are way too heavy for me. I bought them because I love the speed version, and the normal Trailfly. Hoped to get something in between, but too heavy to wear for an ultra.

I used to own the old roclite shoes. They expired and I replaced them with these. The comfort and confidence both are off the charts. The new sole is crazy grippy on all surfaces. I don't like hiking boots - I find them heavy and I certainly don't want to restrict my ankle movement which I think is key unless you are hiking heavily rock & pebble surface for days. Get these for trial running, hiking and they will do just fine on uneven European pavements and cobblestones too. Easy to hose wash, quick to dry and a joy to use.

I have been a customer since 2013. Loved trail roc and roc lite. This shoe disappointed me. I don’t know if it’s just my foot it doesn’t agree with ? I have never ever had blisters wearing inov8s . This shoe makes my toes go numb and gives me at least two blisters in each foot for every trail run . I will not be buying this product again . I have gone through dozens of previous shoes because I would wear them until they lost tread or wore out . So now I am lost as to what to try next ? It was not the size as I tried 2 different sizes. I had tried to break them in with several runs and nothing changes . So unfortunately I do not like this shoe as it doesn’t work for me at all.

Nice shoe with wilde toebox in the front. Soft, bouncy sole with excellent grip. On one shoe the heel loop broke with the first pull. Other than that the quality is solid and line what to expect from Inov8
