Poor customer service

Poor customer service

Inspira holds several of my alternative investments (since they acquired the company that I originally signed up with). They are slow to process everything and their customer service is typically clueless. I need to call many times to get them to do anything. I would look elsewhere for a self directed IRA.

Dealing with their process is difficult
I constantly have to send and resend documentation to prove I am paying for medical expenses. They do not accept the receipts so I send EOBs and still get push back. I have called and been told I sent the correct documentation all to be challenged again.

Breathtakingly inefficient

Breathtakingly inefficient. Trying to transfer funds from inspira to fidelity is like prying teeth from a toddler. Fidelity customer service is a breath of fresh air on a nice spring day whereas Inspira is hot weeks old garbage. It’s honestly impressive that Inspira is still in business

HOOOORRRIIIIBBLE

HOOOORRRIIIIBBLE! I needed my investment due to an emergency. I requested it two weeks before I turned 59 1/2 because of the emergency, knowing I will have a penelty next year. The check was "supposedly" sent out on 3/2/2026, here we are on 3/25/2026, and still no check. I feel at this point I am being played. Very unprofessional staff. They told me I would have to wait a month for the mail to run, told me to call the post office to find my check, they can't help if the post office made a human error. WHAT? Be afraid, be very afraid of this company holding your investments.

It is just not worth the hassle!!!!

It is just not worth the hassle! I will not be getting back into the Inspira FSA for the USPS. You could not pay me the amount of money saved in taxes to navigate the awful platform again. Just horrendous. They deny claims constantly. The card freezes constantly. Slow reimbursements. They ask for additional documentation constantly. We are on the phone constantly. The app is difficult and in no way user friendly. Navigating the phone help is bad. I have doubts that I will be able to use up my FSA savings before I lose the money because this company makes it so freaking hard to use MY money!!! If I could, I would STOP paying biweekly into this FSA, get my money out, and pay the taxes.

Inspira is an absolute joke

Inspira is an absolute joke

Can't even login without resetting password every single time. Stupid glitches and you have to go through 17 links to get to the customer service robot. Not to mention the app redirects you to the website anyways. What is the point. 0 stars will never ever use again.

A definition of Scam artist. Shame on you.
Making it so god damn hard to withdraw my own freaking money , charge fee for making my life hard, basically making it so hard to withdraw and help my money to help yourself. I mean why not, it is interest free and charge ME money and borrow it for free. Why not making it harder. Shame. Shame.

The most useless customer service I've ever experienced to the point I moved all my money out of there just to avoid working with them ever again. Auto-generated responses without ever actually reading your message on what you need help with.

Awful company Bri/Inspira/First Dollar

Awful company Bri/Inspira/First Dollar. No warning to increase fee from $0 to $25 on trustee-to-trustee transfer even when keeping the account open. .01% interest rate on HSA accounts. Horrible customer service. Refused to transfer call to a supervisor. Supervisor informed me change was made in November and they don't have to notify customers of changes because terms of use say they can make changes any time. Make it difficult and nearly impossible to find free schedule on website. You have to leave BRI and go to Inspira and First Dollar in order to look for the fee schedule, then it only give 3 items.

Worst HSA Administrator Around

I've been with a number of HSA administrators during my career (Fidelity, Aetna, HealthEquity, Optum Bank) and they are hands down the worst. They don't keep forms (such as deposit cover letters) on their website, insisting that you call in for them. They then tell you that an "internal team" must generate the form, which takes over a week. They are also incompetent when it comes to mailing out new debit cards, delaying the process as long as possible and then making up excuses like "local mail holds." If you have any ability to avoid them or to recommend to your employer not to use them, do it.

Inspira Financial FSA is either…

Inspira Financial FSA is either comically poorly designed, clunky and user unfriendly OR it is designed to help corrupt companies steal money from employees through bureacratic obstructionism. This company is really good at making it hard, if not impossible, for you to use your own money. If you are at a company that uses their FSA, it is probably because the bean counters there are trying to justify their salaries (forget the fact that they are wasting the time of their own employees and ultimately stealing their pay).
