I have been using Inspiration since I was a student in high school more than a decade ago. Now I use it for my web design business to make outlines of website pages for my clients. It is the best flowcharting software anyone can buy and I highly recommend it. The folks at Techedology are also extremely prompt when you contact them for customer service.

I am a retired psychologist and semi-retired mental health services administrator who became familiar with Inspiration when it first was developed by a small group of teachers in Oregon, USA. What is wonderful is how TechEdology is maintaining Inspiration's creative development and helping educators, researchers, organizational developers, etc. use Inspiration to effectively stay organized and focused way through volumes of data. Great software with videos to talk you through how to use it.

Used Inspiration 9 for years, glad I found a way to upgrade. Process was easy once tech corrected my error in email. first class service!!!

I have used Inspiration for more years than I can remember. It is for me the best mind mapping package on the market for neurodivergent people. It is simple and intuitive and does not have the clunky features that others have.

It is also great for those who do not have a disability either, and I have been delivering training on it for many years and it is always very popular with those I work with.

In addition to this, you do not need a subscription and it is excellent value for money.

It looks and acts like Inspiration 6, which I have used for years. YEA.!!

But I have never learned how to make a Data Base with Inspiration and now it seems beyond abilities. ;(

Expected, or at least hoped for, an upgrade path. Summarily dismissed with "end of life" message

Easy, worry and error-free. I used this in university for a period of 30 years. It's perfect for academics.

I purchased inspiration 10 two years ago, and it has been so helpful for helping my early teen son organize his thoughts when planning his projects. He struggles with dysgraphia (can't write) and ADHD, so he has troubles organizing and implementing all his creative thoughts. Over the course of the last two years he has learned to use inspiration to jot down and organize his ideas and it has really helped him to go from plan to execution on what he wants to do. I have also taken advantage of the software to help me document projects I've been working on (and like the ease of use). I have used other similar software, but the other software has been web based. While there are definite advantages to web-based software, I feel like it runs slower (overall) and tends to suddenly change everything you liked to improve something. Plus, inspiration really shines in taking your mind maps and putting them in outline form. It also exports very well. Anyway, I recently needed to transfer my license to a new computer. It took a few tries contacting the company, but they kept to their promise and did allow me to uninstall from one computer to transfer to the other. I appreciate the customer service

Inspiration is exactly what I needed to help me. I struggle with staying focused and am always going off on tangents with new ideas. When I created a mindmap of everything I have planned I was shocked. It really made me realise why I can't concentrate on one thing.
I have created mind maps for each progect but the the main mind map has helped me decide on my priorities and still keep everything on hold for later.
It is brilliant.

Despite two requests for the license key post my purchase and two attempts to reach customer support via telephone, my requests for support have to-date not been answered. I like the product but the support/responsiveness is unacceptable.

I've been using Inspiration mind-mapping software for 30 years - there are alternatives, but none as visually attractive or as multi-featured as Inspiration. Couldn't - certainly wouldn't want to - live without it.

Strengths:

1. Enhancement of Mindmap Functionality: The mindmap feature could be more robust, offering additional options like more modern visual resources.

2. AI Integration: Adding artificial intelligence could be a significant differentiator, enabling automatic suggestions for connections between ideas, smart organization, or even generating initial content based on keywords.

3. More Affordable Pricing: For users in countries with weaker currencies, such as Brazil, pricing could be adjusted to make the product more accessible. Regional pricing models or scalable subscriptions could help reach a broader audience.

Conclusion: Inspiration is a very good product with the potential to become even better. Focusing on improving the mindmap and integrating AI would make the software more competitive, while price accessibility would benefit emerging markets.

The Inspiration Program is just what I need for mind mapping and organizing ideas. In case of (technical) questions there is adequate support.
