Genuinely the most frustrating company to work with why the is there a timer when you’re trying to contact support when you’re working for this company? Why is there a timer set for the conversation or just end? It’s just gonna make me need to go talk to another person why do you have that remove that? Also, I am 130 pounds a tiny girl I cannot lift an 80 pound bag of concrete and I already opt out of lifting heavy items. Why am I still getting batches of heavy items then I tried talking to your support team and they don’t help me and now I have to keep talking to many different people for somebody to help me. They only “found $3.15 chew bone, even though I found other items myself. My card was still charged for the full $57.21, and now I have to wait up to 7-10 days for a refund. Very frustrating.

Instacart delivered $252 of my groceries to the wrong address. Even though Instacart eventually acknowledged their mistake, they spent a week investigating it. They never credited me for there mistake. Never attempted to get the groceries back. No refund. No apology.
There's a reason why they have a bad rating.
I really needed the groceries because I could not leave my house. My wife had terminal stage 4 cancer. I wish no good to come to Instacart. They made a bad situation even worse.

You continue to charge me annually $99 even though I’ve emailed for two years and spoken to your people live that I never signed up for a membership.
Total scam. You charge me various different months every year hoping I won’t catch the charge. Charges in December charges in February and this year in May.

CAUTION: NO refunds/credits after 7 days — no exceptions!
I order 1-2x per month from Costco through Instacart. On April 24, 2026 I bought a box of 3 Annie’s Cinnamon Rolls. When I opened it on May 6, 2026, one tube had burst open and was completely unusable.
I couldn’t request a refund online because it was past the 7-day window, so I called customer service. The representative refused to issue any credit. I asked to speak with a manager (Gloria), who also denied the request. I requested my issue be escalated to another team, but I expect it will be denied.
This is a terrible policy for perishable/damaged grocery items. I now open every single item immediately after delivery.
I do not recommend using Instacart for Costco or any other store deliveries unless you have no other choice.

worst ever experience with this instacart. 12 units for $140 fair price but they charged my card $170. they is scam. they are scamers. and after 4 days the shopper contacted me that he could'nt find all of them so he can only ship 4 units. what the hell !!. i got my refund after 1 week and i got only $160. be aware every buddy.

I used Instacart via Kroger and for some reason they didn't honor/use any of the coupons or deals that were listed when I placed my order online. My groceries ended up being almost twice the cost without factoring in any service fees, delivery fees or tips. I was shocked when I saw the final receipt. Also, the tomatoes were so squishy they might as well have been water balloons. This was simply poor customer service from Instacart. I will use Kroger delivery from now.

Such a scam. First time user, received an email stating “free delivery on first 3 orders” yet they still charged me the delivery fee and refuse to refund it. Customer service is no help. Was also supposed to receive the order 10-11am and didn’t come until after 2pm.

I spent four hours a day trying to get my groceries. I have pneumonia and I needed my groceries here prior to physical therapy so they could start working on legs they have shooting pain. They did not understand that and then he gave me fake customer service apology and the first thing that they offered me was five dollars for $100 order and a order that was late for over an hour and a half because they let the girl pick up three additional orders before dropping off mine which she wasn’t supposed to now I’m out on $100 order and $1500 physical therapy because the last thing that they wanted to provide me was $30 and another low effort, apology and now I have to go to the emergency room because I spent all day yelling don’t worry I’ll go be submitting a request over to Kroger and Smith’s as well

I've had to reschedule an order due to having to go to work. it costs me an extra $7.99 to reschedule it. the biggest problem with instacart is the fact that they don't vet shoppers. I've had 1 order stolen before, no ramifications. the current order I'm waiting on I've already had to reschedule, I told the "specialist" that it costs me money to reschedule. Which it does. if it was easier for me to go to a local store to buy items than rely on Instacart, I would.

From most of the representatives in Instacart and Uber Eats is down right disgusting. They don’t seem to listen to care about your concerns with your order that you paid for using their mobile app. To get an account credit on your app or cash refund for an incorrect order they take you through the wringer (calling back and forth and both parties blaming the other) it’s just unprofessional and disgusting. Order at your own risk!

I placed an order at 3:45 pm and I paid for fast delivery. It said my order should come between 5:25 and 5:50 pm. Mind you I have a family to feed and 2 babies who need diapers. My husband works late and its hard for me to pack 4 kids and 2 babies up to go to the store. I checked the site and it said my order was being worked on. Two hours later my order is still being worked on. I texted the shopper who told me she was working on multiple orders to please be patient with her. I paid for someone to tell me to be patient with them when I paid for a fast delivery. That's not ok when I paid for a service and its not being met. They should not allow shoppers to take multiple orders. I put in a request to cancel my order to be charged 15$ for the cancelation fee. This is a rip-off. I seriously encourage everyone out there to never use instacart. Its a awful money grubbing service that doesn't care about there customers or their needs. I will just pay the neighbors son to run to the store for me from now on. I would give them no stars if I could.

I don't know how Instacart is this popular. The website seems like it was designed by a child. The drivers are always late. I have ice cream and it is usually ruined. The website design seems to be intentionally irritating. I get that the shopper started shopping, but the website tells me I can add to the order, meanwhile not allowing me to. Just a horrible experience.
