Interent used to be okay but now seem to be part of Goldcar. Awful company. Avoid at all costs. You will be charged extra and you will not get a refund.
Took a fuel deposit even though I'd paid for full to full. Had to pay by debit card as they would not accept credit card. Refused to give me car until i paid even though Holidaycars said i shouldn't pay as I phoned them at the car rental desk.
On return to the UK Holidaycars now refuse to refund payment and told me to claim on my credit card. I guess that's why i had to pay extra on debit card.
For the 2nd time in a month we have been scammed by Interent. This time in Faro, Portugal. First time in Lisbon, Portugal when I just walked away from them, lost my rental fee and made another booking at the airport. This time exactly the same as the first time : they try to sell you expensive extra insurance. You say no thank you. They look for a card you don't have. Visa or Mastercard credit only they say - not debit, not Amex etc. etc. If you do have a credit card they take it then they will tell you there is a problem with the card. My wife had a visa credit card. The only option is to take the extra insurance when they magically accept the debit card they just told you they won't accept. So this time my wife paid Euro 277 on top of a 70 Euro rental fee. Could have been worse she said as the guy in front of her was forced to hand over another Euro 600 !! So don't be taken in by the cheap prices up front as you'll be scammed for a lot more at the counter. Go with a recognised brand, pay a little more but receive professional service without any hassle.
Fully automated document system does not work. Program selects wrong camera and cannot be flipped. “Contacts” on web site does not work, no way of contacting this company. Looks like it may be a fake. Avoid.
