Files become corrupted, promises are not kept

I purchased a lifetime unlimited account a few years ago. When I purchased the account, I did so with the written promise that by investing in the fledgling company, I would receive all future services and updates. Not only has this not been true, but I’m asked to pay $500 to “upgrade” my account to get the promised features. I was promised I would have unlimited space, but this has since been decreased to 99 TB. Either way, the service is too slow and unreliable to ever use that space. Of the data I was able to upload to, a great deal of it has become corrupted and unusable. I’ve reached out to support to help with recovering the data, but my emails have been ignored. I would strongly encourage users to seek out other cloud service providers to avoid the mistakes I have made with this service.

Internxt Unlimited Storage: Unusable Product and Broken Promises

I purchased Internxt Unlimited Storage in July 2021. At the time of purchase, Internxt clearly advertised this plan as unlimited storage and promised lifetime access to all future products.

Unfortunately, the product never worked as expected. The backup system was extremely slow and unreliable, to the point where I could not practically use it at all. Despite this, I chose to wait and give the company time, as they said they were a new startup and would improve the product over time.

Years later, not only has the storage product still not improved in any meaningful way, but Internxt has now released additional products and is asking existing “lifetime” customers to pay extra to access them. This directly contradicts the promises made at the time of purchase.

I consider this misleading at best and fraudulent behavior at worst. The product does not work as advertised, and the company has failed to honor its original commitments.

I strongly discourage others from buying Internxt storage plans. Based on my experience, the service is unreliable, poorly maintained, and the company cannot be trusted to keep its promises.

Functions removed from old stacksocal customers

I bought 10TB in Dec-24. At that time the lifetime subscription included WebDAV and some additional functions like syncing. No information that this is not a deliverable. In Oct-25 they removed from stacksocial customers all premium features so we only have cloud storage which we can use via the web interface. You need to buy an additional lifetime subscription from their website to get the premium features back which already were paid. The upload speed is slow. Not recommended. Internxt deletes comments with critical remarks on reddit.

Affordable, and great customer support.

The prices for the storage are really good.
For all the questions i had, and one the problem which popped up, they were addressed in a timely, friendly yet professional manner. Im happy with the support so far.

For improvements, I’d like to see more functionalities for photos and videos, along with a smoother, bug-free process for uploading and synchronizing files across computer and phone apps.

Unusable

Unusable. Impossible to sync a large folder, and the Windows client keeps crashing in a loop.

A total disaster

A total disaster. I was on a paid plan. The backup feature doesn't work, the speeds are slow, customer service does not respond.

To make things worse, I decided not to renew my subscription and instead of honouring the reminder time (about 9 months), they moved me to the free plan immediately. First time this happens to me on a subscription service.

Not recommended!

Well, it looks like a FRAUD.
This morning i paid for one year 1TB (21 euro).
I was uploading and just after one hour i have been kicked out.
I try to log in and nothing.
I try using forgot password, but nothing.
I will make a complain at Postal Police.

False claim to privacy!

Hi there,

When I use the web version of Internxt in my Brave browser, it blocks 12 ads! This service claims to be privacy-focused, but I don’t believe it. Out of the 12 ads, 2 were related to Google, and 1 was related to Facebook. Additionally, the service is riddled with bugs. I don’t trust them at all!

They keep their promise

The opinions to this provider could not be more diverged.

I was hesitent at tfirst and decided to go for it.

The upload is reasonably fast but large files and file packages (I am talking of 5 to 100 GB) is manually challenging if not broken apart and started one by one.

I am mostly uploading however smaller datasets and the backup tools make this automated and acceptable convenient.

Updates and functionality for the cloud app is minimalistic, but has the important features. The open protocols however allow different manual connection and file transfer protocols. It was for me as non-IT expert sometimes challenging but managed also thanks to the help of the customer support.

Customer support for me was a kind and helpful experience throughout all struggles at the beginning.

The protocols and (free) tools internxt offers is great and being european based cloud service I feel they did what they want right.

I understand their focus is not apeed speed or competing to huge provider with functionality but privacy. Testing their service with 1 GB for free! Only thus will allow you to get your own impression and asess whether this cloud is something for you.

Money for value for me is in the great PLUS.

Unilateral change of rule after having paid

After having bought the lifetime service through a deal on stack-exchange when no limitation was announced, they decided unilaterally to remove the CLI feature that I was using.
Now they regularly send me an email to propose me a "87% deal" for which I need to add 500€ to have the CLI feature back.
From my perspective, it's an 100% scam !
(I remind to Internxt that I bought the service BEFORE you change the rule)

Signed up for this company a long time…

Signed up for this company a long time ago. Service wasn't very good, so I cancelled. That was a chore in itself. They acted like an overly attached girlfriend until I lost patience and demanded they cancel and leave me alone.
It seems they've now added me to their newsletter without my consent and they have no unsub button.
I contacted them this week and asked them to delete my email address. They said they would. Received my second newsletter this week.

I'd have given zero stars if I could

I'd have given zero stars if I could. Signed up last week - wanted a backup service. The backup feature in their app does not work. Support emails have been unanswered for a week and the support chat bot just cuts you off if you ask to be connected to a human. I'll be getting a refund from my credit card company.

Non responsive

I had purchased a lifetime plan with Internxt in Nov 2025, it initially worked fine whilst I was backing up my data. Then I could no longer access my account, nor re-start it - so Internxt had been trying to help but to date I have had no resolution. Upon me trying to contact them for an update both by email and on their online chat, they have failed to reply.

A Journey Towards Better Privacy Solutions

They asked me to provide a review on Trustpilot. I don’t do this often, but since I saw their rating on Trustpilot, I feel they deserve a better rating than this. However...

I am very conscious about privacy and am always seeking privacy-focused programs and/or services. I can tell you there are many out there, including Internxt. I actually trust Internxt based on what they say about privacy. I’ve been following Internxt for a while to see how they perform, and today I decided to try out their service and see how it goes. Here’s what I think so far:

At the start, they seem very helpful and friendly. How this will be in the future remains to be seen. Additionally, their software seems a bit unstable. It appears that the software sometimes has problems syncing files, and the web version is not always stable either. There are many errors. I have the impression that this happens because Internxt tries so hard to secure everything that things occasionally go wrong. I always say, "If something works, don’t try to fix it!" I’m not sure if Internxt understands this in practice.

About two years ago, I poked around on Internxt and wasn’t very happy with how things worked. I never kept a log of my experiences, so it’s quite difficult to compare then and now. However, it seems to me that things haven't necessarily improved. At least, that’s how I feel.

On the positive side, their customer service seems very friendly and helpful, and they appear to resolve issues quickly. They also recognize which customer they are dealing with fairly quickly and guide you towards the right plan. I think this is one of their strengths. Keep this up!

Currently, my partner and I have a paid version. We'll see how the future unfolds with Internxt.

For now, I give them 4 stars because they do give me the impression that they are making an effort! Perhaps the rating may change in the future.

My message to the Internxt team: Continue your hard work on this product and strive for continuous improvement.You have a great product that comes across as serious! I believe you want to convey this to your customers, so continue showing it in practice!

Internxt is a scam

Internxt has been extremely frustrating and concerning.

It started with the Windows app. After installing it, I realized you cannot fully uninstall it. Even after removing the app, Internxt still leaves remnants in the system, including a Quick Access icon and system files. I only managed to get rid of everything with help from other users on Reddit who had exactly the same issue.

Later, when I decided to delete my account, the real problem began. Clicking “Delete account” always resulted in an “Internal Server Error”. This was not a one-time issue, it happened repeatedly, over several days, across different browsers and devices.

I contacted support and provided a video clearly showing the error. After some back and forth, I was told that my account had been deleted. However, this was simply not true. I can still log in normally using the same email address and password.

I explicitly asked them to delete my profile and all my personal data from their database. Since then, they have completely ignored me. The account is still active and accessible, which clearly means my data has not been deleted.

Because of this, I no longer trust this service. Account deletion does not work, support gives false confirmations, and users have no real control over their personal data. I’m sharing this publicly so others are aware and can avoid this service until these issues are properly and transparently resolved.

Severe upload failures and no response to refund request

Update: After several more days, I still have not received any response regarding my refund request. Due to the continued lack of support and unresolved issues, I have lowered my rating accordingly.

Upload always fails, breaks, or resets unexpectedly.

In June 2025, I purchased a 3 TB / 1-year plan and used it until nearly full (about 2.8 TB). I later realized that upgrading or renewing becomes quite expensive and no longer benefits from the original promotional price once storage is almost full.

Because of that, I had no choice but to purchase an additional 5 TB / 1-year plan under a different account starting January 1, 2026. Unfortunately, since then I have experienced severe upload issues: uploads repeatedly fail, break, or reset, sometimes even after reaching more than 90%.

Over more than half a month, I have not been able to successfully upload even 4 files (each around 5 GB). In total, only about 55 GB has been uploaded out of the 5 TB plan. At this pace, it would amount to roughly 1.1 TB per year, which is far from acceptable.

Despite having a relatively stable experience during the previous months, the current reliability issues and the complete lack of support response have outweighed any past positives. I was forced to request a refund for the new plan to avoid ongoing stress caused by constant upload failures and resets, but I have not received any reply so far.

Internxt still has potential, especially regarding its security-focused approach, but until upload reliability and customer support are properly addressed, I can only rate this service 2 stars.
