Inventory Planner by Sage has become an important part of how we manage stock and purchasing. It gives us reliable demand forecasting and helps us plan inventory more accurately, which has reduced stockouts and excess stock. The interface makes it easy to see what we need to reorder and when, which saves time compared with manual spreadsheets.
While there’s a short adjustment period to understand all the settings and forecasting options, once we had it configured it quickly became a valuable tool for planning. The insights into trends and reorder recommendations have helped us make better purchasing decisions and stay lean without compromising availability. Overall, Inventory Planner has improved our inventory visibility and made planning much more manageable.

A really useful tool for stock planning and forecasting. It helps us stay organised and plan ahead across all channels. At times it can be a bit complex, and it occasionally suggests quantities that don't fully make sense, but overall it's a strong system that saves us time and helps with decision-making.

Inventory Planner - A great Business Partner
We have been members of Inventory Planner since November 2020. Being in the mobile accessories retail and e-commerce business, replenishment used to be a nightmare having to restock periodically thousands of items and especially mobile phone cases (hundreds of different models). Now it is all done in minutes! Inventory Planner is a unique tool for forcasting, dealing with overstocking and stock outs and has saved us a lot resources. Can't do without it! More over help is almost instant if you need anything through chat or email. Many thanks for all the support through these years!

Customer Service that actually cares
My experience with Inventory Planner’s support team has been genuinely great. What really stood out is how easy and comfortable they are to talk to — you never feel rushed, judged, or ignored. Even when I had repetitive issues (and honestly, a lot of them), they never hesitated to walk me through each one patiently.
Special shoutout to Karen, Jordan , Ade (Adrian) and the team — they make the whole experience lighter, and you can feel that they really want to help. It’s rare to find customer service that’s consistent, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive, so I think people should know: you’re in good hands with them.

Avoid Stockouts, Manage Inventory levels, and Great Reporting
Inventory Planner has helped us avoid stockouts, replenish our assembly items, and proactively maintain inventory levels across several warehouses. What used to take us several hours in inventory analysis weekly is now available in real-time within the platform. It's taken the complexity out of forecasting inventory needs and has allowed our team to delegate tasks that would've been complex prior to implementing Inventory Planner.

Chan from IP is brilliant, I've been using IP for the past 6 months and needed some help. I reached out to Chan for some training and the very next day I had a session with him. He has been extremely helpful over the past few months and nothing is ever too much trouble when it comes to helping & guiding. Reliable Inventory Planning Tool
We have been using Inventory Planner by Sage for over two years now, and it's become an essential part of our operations. The software handles product allocations to stores seamlessly, helping us maintain optimal stock levels across locations. We are happy with the accuracy of its forecasting, which has been invaluable for continuity line buys.

It used to be quite good until they sold it.
It used to be quite good, until the people who originally made it sold it to Sage. The software itself hasn't changed much but the customer service has gone WAY down hill. I've had an issue going on almost 5 months now, and it still hasn't been fixed. Whenever I reach out for an update I just get the same response. I've sent the issue to them multiple times and then they would just fix the one issue and then tell me they need to have it be wrong to sent to the developers to fix. So I'd send another and they'd just fix the one again and give me the same response. After many times of spoon feeding the info to them, it still hasn't been fixed across the board. My subscription went up $30 a month from what it originally was, and the support went down to $5 a month worth. I'm searching for an alternate solution.

Significantly improved our ordering accuracy
We’ve been using Inventory Planner for over a year, and it’s proven to be a highly effective tool for demand forecasting and replenishment planning. The system handles complex multi-supplier scenarios well—we manage over 3,000 SKUs across 20+ suppliers—and its forecasting models have significantly improved our ordering accuracy. One standout feature is the ability to ingest external data via Google Sheets, which has allowed us to implement custom logic and integrate edge-case workflows that aren’t supported by native connectors. The platform’s reporting is robust, with flexible filters and export options that support deeper analysis. Since adopting it, we’ve streamlined our purchasing workflows and substantially reduced overstock.

Stuck Paying for a Product We Can’t Use
We’ve been with Inventory Planner since before Sage acquired them—back when the platform was lean, reliable, and backed by great customer support. After the acquisition, our subscription cost was increased threefold.
In early 2025, after renewing our annual subscription, we transitioned to a 3PL that Inventory Planner had no integration with. Despite reaching out promptly to explain the situation and explore solutions, support offered nothing viable. As a result, we could no longer use the software.
We requested a refund for the remainder of the contract, but they refused. We’re now stuck having paid for eight months of a product we can’t use.
Support acknowledged the issue but hid behind policy instead of making any good-faith effort to help. If your business values fairness, transparency, and customer service, we strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

When your team transitioned to a non-native connection, our support team outlined several options, including a referral to a trusted partner who builds custom integrations and our Early Access ACSV feature. ACSV (Advanced CSV) allows you to connect Inventory Planner to virtually any tech stack, even if we don’t have a native integration—by syncing your data through a flexible, customizable file format. Although your business was not interested in these suggested solutions, we believe ACSV continues to present a promising option moving ahead.
We do our best to be transparent about what’s possible and what’s covered under our terms—and while we weren’t able to offer a refund, we’re still here to support you in making the most of your subscription.

There were a few misunderstandings at the beginning during the onboarding process but when Teo Necula was put in charge of our account, everything got ironed out and all issues were solved diplomatically and fairly which we appreciated so much.
