I got married in Tuscany in early September and it was magical.
It might not have seemed like the most sensible decision to plan my wedding while pursuing my postgraduate degree, but thanks to Ionian Weddings, the entire process was stress-free, and the wedding day itself was nothing short of amazing. I am just sad that I can't do it all over again!

Our Santorini wedding was planned by Rachel at Ionian Weddings and i can't express enough how stress free the process was thanks to Rachel & Katerina.

Everything was perfect including the process, quality and venue. The venue was AMAZING and more than we could ever have imagined! We thought all the wedding planning would cause a lot of stress but Rachel & Katerina turned everything we thought would be stressful into a stress free enjoyable wedding plan.

Everything was perfect. I cant thank Rachel enough for planning our Santorini wedding. I was very disorganised and found it hard to get the details together and Rachel sorted everything out! We’ve booked for April 2024! The process was very easy and Pat was wonderful in getting back to us when we had questions (even sometimes responding well into the night her time). We’re really excited for our wedding, and will come back to update once we’ve had it!

Originally we was unsure where we wanted to get married but with the help of ionian and their selection of destinations it was easy to pick sorrento. With the help of lindsay in the UK we was able to choose the setting of the wedding and it was such a smooth and easy process. When we arrived in sorrento Anna got in touch straight away, she showed us around and went through the itinerary which was really helpful. We made a few amendments and they were so amenable to this we couldn't have asked for a better experience so I highly recommend ionian weddings

Ionian were amazing wedding planners and created our dream day. We got married at Sorrento Cloisters and had our reception at the Fattoria Terranova farmhouse. The whole day was perfect and ran so smoothly. Our UK wedding planner was Maria who was fantastic and answered all of our many questions promptly. She was always available by phone and email (even on her days off) to discuss details of the day and made the planning process extremely enjoyable.

Our italian wedding planner Rosaria was incredible beyond words. We booked our wedding without visiting our venues (due to covid) and were nervous to finally see them only a few months before the wedding. When we met Rosaria at our pre wedding meeting in April, we knew we could put our complete trust in her to create the day of our dreams. She understood our vision and eased our nerves instantly. Both of the venues were truely phenomenal and we knew we had made the right decision in booking them. During our visit, she introduced us to the suppliers (who were all fantastic) and talked us through all of the details of the day. When we arrived back in Sorrento in August for the wedding we recieved the same exceptional service. Everything was so well organised and Rosaria went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us and our guests (even arranging a back up wedding car as it was forcast to rain and we had booked an open top car). We were incredibly grateful that she was our wedding interpreter as she helped to ease my nerves and emotions during the ceremony and she was fantastic at coordinating all of our guests. Everyone commented on how wonderful she was and how amazing all of the details were (from the lemon cart, to flowers and the smoothness of transport to and from the farmhouse).

The staff at the Terranova farmhouse were wonderful and were incredibly acccomdating and helpful to our grandparents who have limited mobility. Nothing was a problem and the wedding meal was exceptional.

I got married in Italy in August 2023 and was overwhelmed by the brilliance of my wedding coordinators. Maria (my UK planner) was amazing at making sure all my queries were answered (she even called me on leave when our flights were cancelled).

When we arrived in Italy, we were greeted by Viola who was superb. She was reassuring, considerate and totally focused on us having the day of our dreams. I don't think I will be able to adequately describe just how brilliant she was. Her attention to detail and meticulous planning made the day so utterly wonderful and she greatly reduced the anxiety. I cannot sing her praises highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble, nothing flummoxed her - she was just the perfect wedding coordinator and we are indebted to her.

I was introduced to Helen who was amazing poffessioanl and even though at times I had her up the wall on a she's was very efficient and poffessional and replied to me very quickly also not only.all the way threw but on the week before we had to leave Helen couldn't do enough for us still and that I will forever be greatful for when we arrived abroad belinda meet us and was amazing she went through everything she went above and beyond like Helen and fedricica and this we will forever be greatfull for belinda went back and forth with are documents objects we forgot and all add ons which we forgot when planning as we was far from Paphos and we will never be able to put into words how greatful.me and my.husband are for everything they all done and the company and also the staff at Liopetro so thankyou we would highly recommend for any couple who are thinking of planning abroad wedding honestly they are the best

We cannot thank the team at Ionian Weddings enough. From the moment we knew we wanted to have a destination wedding we were supported by Patricia who sent us a variety of different locations to match what we were looking for, she then talked us through the different locations and venues to help us choose the perfect destination for us. We were then passed on to our amazing UK wedding planner, Maria who was fantastic from start to finish, with her speedy communication, meeting with us to talk through the process and supporting us with all stages of our planning. Finally, we met with Marta who was our planner in Portugal. Marta met with us in Portugal before our big day to talk through the final details and to answer any questions we had, making us feel at ease as the day was approaching. On our wedding day she was there from the beginning of the day until the end, making sure everything ran smoothly and was delivered as we had planned. It truly was the most perfect day and more beautiful than we could have ever imagined and this was down to the amazing planning from the Ionian Wedding Team! With ionian the planning was very easy! We had a legal ceremony so our paperwork was different but they were able to accommodate odate support and advise.
It took the stress out of planning and organising our wedding and once we got to Italy, the coordinator Valeria immediately put us at ease when we met for our pre meeting. Everything was planned to a T. On the day it was like a well oiled machine. I had total faith in the team and they made the whole time so enjoyable. They made sure our guests and any children were all okay in the heat. Overall an amazing experience with Ionian. The only sad thing is its over!! Thank you so much x

Where do I begin, I honestly cannot put into words to explain just how incredible my wedding was, it was a fairy tale dream come true. My whole wedding planning experience with Ionian weddings has been outstanding from the very first day up until my special day they had it all covered. Very professional with so much experience and fantastic advice and ideas. Literally took the stress out of it all, which made my journey so much more enjoyable. My UK on hand planner Maria has been impeccable, there wasn't anything that was too much trouble, and helped make our wedding a reality. Our Sorrento planner Antonella was another amazing lady, from the first venue viewings and again on our wedding week bringing all of our vision to life in such a friendly, caring manor. We got married in Sorrento on 27th July 2023 with our ceremony being held in the ‘cloisters’ and our wedding venue at ‘Castore/hidden hillside gem’.

We were assigned Maria as our UK wedding planner and she was amazing. Knowledgable, supportive, organised, helpful and always on the end of the phone she was amazing. We visited our venue before our wedding day back in 2022 and we met our wedding planner in Italy ‘Anna’ - she was amazing, spoke excellent English, knew everyone in sorrento and provided us with knowledge, support and friendship throughout our time in Italy. We were lucky enough to have Anna for our wedding day and she was incredible. We still keep in touch now, always on the end of the phone.

We had a small issue in that my vintage car broke down (to be expected with vintage cars), however this did not affect me at all and Anna and the team made sure of this. I waited in our hotel and behind the scenes Anna found us a replica car which arrived in 40 minutes - to do that abroad, nor stress a very ‘organised’ bride was impressive!

Our wedding venue really was a ‘hidden hillside gem’, it honestly made our wedding and was better than the pictures! Guests are still talking about the service, food, view and extra touches provided by Castore. Silvana our event manager at castore made our dream come true and was the most dedicated, helpful person I have ever met. There are not enough words to say how amazing she was and how much of a gem that place is.

I could write millions more but won’t as short sweet usually captures the eye !

We booked our Sorrento Cloisters and Hidden Hillside Gem wedding for August 2023 and our wedding day was absolutely perfect! The entire process - from initial contact, through all of the planning and preparations, down to the day itself - was brilliant and we would 100% recommend Ionian Weddings to anyone looking to plan a destination wedding in the future.

- Federica was our initial consultant, she was fantastic at helping us find exactly what we want, she had loads of information for us, and she really helped us to know what to expect regarding timelines and all of the different options we could choose between. Even after her part was finished she was still happy to answer any extra questions we had!

- Lindsay was our main UK wedding planner and she was incredible throughout the whole planning process! We had so many questions and small unique details that had to be dealt with and nothing was ever a problem. She was great at liaising with the team in Italy and communicating back to us, and she was also always happy to set up meetings at times that suited us, even when our own availability was quite tricky. Whenever any small detail may have caused a problem Lindsay was always able to provide solutions or alternatives with no issue!

- Anna was our main wedding planner in Italy, she was amazing at taking us through our plans for the whole day (and the days leading up to the wedding), she knew every little detail and was happy to accommodate any last minute tweaks we needed! In our pre-wedding meetings she took us to both main locations and talked us through every step, as well as taking us to meet the florist and the manager for our pre-wedding drinks party! She also accompanied us to our hair and makeup trials. We were in regular communication throughout the week and she helped us to feel totally relaxed and stress-free! She even gave us some recommendations for local food spots, which were delicious!

- Valeria was our extra wedding planner on the wedding day itself, she was super helpful at getting everything set up exactly how we wanted it for the Cloisters ceremony and also helped keep all of our guests organised. She was also kind enough to deliver a lost phone back to us at our hotel the next day!

- Silvana and the team at the Hidden Hillside Gem reception were unbelievable! We had a pre-wedding meeting a few days before with Silvana and Anna, and we brought along a lot of extras like a guestbook, disposable cameras, wedding favours, etc. On the wedding day Silvana and the team had decorated everything beautifully, including laying out our personal touches exactly as we had envisioned! Throughout the evening Silvana dealt with a number of requests from our guests (including some needs for elderly guests) and nothing was a problem. The team were all incredibly friendly and helpful!

The whole process with Ionian Weddings was totally stress-free from start to finish and we were able to focus on the elements that mattered to us the most, instead of worrying about the usual stresses associated with planning a wedding! We can't thank everyone enough for giving us such a perfect day - if you're considering a destination wedding you should definitely book with Ionian Weddings!

We married in Sorrento, Italy in July 2023 and Ionian Weddings gave us a wedding beyond what we could have ever dreamed of.
We were allocated a UK based Wedding Planner (Maria) straightaway who reminded with us throughout the entire lead up to the wedding. Maria remained in regular contact with us throughout the entire planning process and responded to any emails / telephone calls quickly and promptly. It was very clear that Maria had close relationships with the local team in Sorrento, which is essential when you are making the decision to marry abroad.
All we had to do was tell Maria what we wanted our dream wedding to look like and she arranged it all for us. She made sure that we were happy with every fine detail of our wedding and nothing was overlooked.
We appreciated Maria organising a Teams meeting with us in advance of the wedding, as it gave us a chance to meet our planner face-to-face and have an in-depth discussion about the planning process.

We were also allocated a local wedding planner in Sorrento (Antonella), who truly went above and beyond to ensure that our day went perfectly. We had a lengthy meeting with Antonella a few days before the wedding, where we visited the florist, ceremony and reception venues to make sure we were happy with every small detail for the big day.
On our wedding day, Antonella remained with us throughout almost the entire day and nothing was too much trouble. She did everything, from liaising with staff to even adjusting my dress so it looked perfect in the photos!

Ionian Weddings take care of all the legal paperwork for you once you have posted it to them. This takes the stress out of marrying abroad, meaning that all you need to do is show up on the day and cherish this special day in the sunshine with your friends and family.

Thanks to Ionian, our wedding was truly the best day of our lives and if you are thinking of marrying abroad, I would recommend them without hesitation.

We had often been told that wedding planning and the lead up to a wedding is stressful and difficult and that it can also be difficult to be in the moment and actually enjoy the wedding day because you are so busy. However, we never felt that way before or during the wedding. We always felt that we were in good hands with both Maria and Viola, and the way the wedding turned out exceeded our expectations. Because of Ionian’s exceptional management of the details big and small, we were absolutely able to enjoy the day, connect with our intimate guest list, and focus our attention on what was most important to us. We are especially appreciative given the relatively short planning period that we gave our coordinator. To pull together a wedding like this over the course of a few months is so impressive. We could not have managed all of the components of a destination wedding without Ionian.

We had a fantastic service from Ionian weddings through our wedding planner Rachel. She was amazing from start to finish and gave us all the help that we needed to prepare for our special day. The guests at our wedding said they can not stop talking about it! We had the best wedding in Santorini, Greece. Myself and Nathan would like to say a huge thank you to the whole team at Ionian weddings for the support throughout the planning stages right up until the day of our wedding. We highly recommend. The catering company that Ionion use for Santorini are incredible and also all the companies used are sooo friendly and welcoming - ie photographer, videography. Our venue was ‘Cavo Ventus’ and it was so special to have just our guests there - was a lot more intimate which is exactly what we wanted.

I would 100% recommend using Ionian Weddings to plan your special day. I couldn’t of wished for a better experience when handling one of the most important days of my life! My wedding was beyond my expectations and my wedding planners Rachel & Katarina were amazing.. they knew exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond and nothing was ever too much trouble!
I never had to wait long for responses and nothing ever felt too stressful.

We got married at Le Ciel in Santorini and it was honestly beautiful. I couldn’t recommend the venue and staff enough and all my family and friends were blown away with the food and service.

When we first booked our wedding for Zante we were so excited and we both couldn’t wait for all the planning. Due to covid we had to wait another 3 years which made us feel slightly deflated but from start to finish we had an amazing team at Ionian weddings to help us. They were only an email away or phone call, always got back to us with any queries and made us feel comfortable in the whole process. We then had to change our venue for reasons out of anyone’s hands which Helen (our wedding planner) and her team sorted straight away. They helped us to organise everything from table arrangements, seat plans, organising the paperwork for abroad and our food choices. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking to get married abroad. We had a magical day and didn’t want it ti end, our photographer caught all the best parts of the day. Can’t thank the Ionian team enough for what they did for us.
