PANEK IS SCAMMERS, THEY TOOK MY DESPOSIT, 600 EURO! WARNING, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!

We rented a premium SUV, but upon our arrival in Prague we got a car from a lower class, they also charge extra for things that don't make any sense like 100€ for cleaning fee and 500€ for damages to the car which was already there.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Got a car with a lot of scratches and damage. On return they claimed I caused one even though it is already marked on the Collision Damage Waiver that they signed off on. They billed 1035 EUR / 25000 CZK for it. No responses to my mail after I pointed this out so now I am forced to take this up with the fraude protection on my Credit Card.

AVOID. SCAM. Total Rip off merchants, car filthy on pick up. Only used for two journeys in 4 days. Scratches all over the car noted on paperwork. Then tried to charge for damages that were already there.

Legal team and credit card company investigating them. Use at your own risk.

Extremely bad experience. Car which I reserved 2 months in nadvanced and confirmed 3 days before arrival… was not available… I received information 10 minutes after landing in Prague and 15 min before I should pick up the car. I was basically forced to take whichever car they had available… which was one. After returning car in perfect condition and filled up tank, 10 days later, I never received my 1.150 USD deposit. I tried to call and mailed, without any response, which forces me to file police and legal charge!! I have never experienced anything similar in my whole life!

Extremely Disappointed – Avoid Panek Rent A Car at Prague Airport

I had a confirmed reservation with Panek Rent A Car (Aviatická 1, Prague) and even spoke with a representative the day before my arrival to confirm the details and express concern over the many negative reviews I had read. I was reassured everything would be fine. Unfortunately, my experience matched those same complaints.

On the scheduled pick-up day, I waited by the office door at the agreed time—no one showed up. No communication, no staff, no support. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable for a rental service, especially at an international airport.

Avoid this company at all costs. There are far more reliable alternatives at Prague Airport. I regret giving them the benefit of the doubt.

If I could give minus I would. I have hired a car through Ryanair as always. It was first time with this company. I have never had a problem previously, but on this occasion this company kept 10000 Czech Krones. Apparently I was speeding on one occasion. I could understand to be fined by police, but not a rental car company? If they have said that they have black box installed and would be charging fine for speeding then I would make sure it doesn`t happen even on one occasion. Obviously this company is out there to trick you, so if anyone doesn`t want to get charged extra please stay away. Also communication with them was really bad.

They stole 442 euros from me, claiming two small scratches on the car, they gave me the dirty vehicle, in which it was impossible to verify the existence of this damage to the car.

SCAMMERS WHO SHOULD DISAPPEAR FROM THE WEB AND GO TO JAIL. After a week I returned the car, I found two charges of + 300 €. I contacted them and they sent me a bunch of FAKE documents that proved, according to them, fines for speeding, damage to the car. I contacted them and, in a rude and aggressive way, they wrote me that it was all proven and that I had no right to appeal. Thank goodness my bank objected and I was refunded in April of the total of the two transactions. DO NOT USE IPANEK RENT A CAR, THEY ARE CRIMINALS WHO SHOULD BE IN JAIL

An Absolute Scam Company for Tourists

They require a €420 deposit, but after returning the car, they look for excuses not to refund it. According to their Terms & Conditions, they charge exactly €420 if their (!!!!) GPS detects you speeding by more than 30 km/h. They literally review your driving route just to find instances of speeding.

You receive a €420 fine even if they haven't been fined by the municipality—which they would otherwise simply pass on to you. If Panek gets fined by the municipality and you have to pay, that’s understandable. But their entire business model is based on advertising low rental prices (e.g., €40 for 3 days) while charging you extra for everything afterward.

Their customer service is terrible. If you are owed a refund, make sure you follow up and check your bank account. If they keep your deposit, they won’t even send you an invoice unless you demand an explanation.

It took me almost two months of hard negotiations to get my refund back.

PANEK SCAMMERS NO RECOMMENDED, Serious-AVOID!!! They stole 320 pounds from my card 1.5 months later, for damage to the car and that the car was not washed. I washed the car inside and outside 13 miles from the airport and I got proof of that and there was 100% no damage when the car was returned! False claims of damage after 1 month.The worst rental company I have dealt with in 15 years of renting cars in Europe. Do NOT rent from this company!!! I went against my better judgment after seeing these reviews and thought these were just disgruntled customers. These 1-star reviews are an accurate representation of this company!

MUCHO CUIDADO BE VERY CAREFUL, SCAM GUARANTEED
This Christmas, three couples visited Prague. We rented two vehicles for the Prague airport office for eight days at the price we had contracted through the Carjet platform. We returned the vehicles with a full tank and in perfect condition. Days later, not only have they not returned our deposit (600 euros) but they have charged us more than 400 euros. They do not respond to any form of communication. In our rush, we had not checked the reviews. If you want to be robbed, rent here.

All good, no problem at all so far.Good price and nice cars as well.

Stay away from this company. We rented a car in Prague. Panek kept a 400 euro deposit, which they did not refund to us. They apparently recorded our entire movement data, then claimed that we had at one point exceeded the speed limit and are insisting that they can fine us for it - exactly the amount of the deposit. We are now filing a fraud complaint and have hired a lawyer - unfortunately it's all a lot of trouble.

Stay away!!! Scam company! I returned the car to Prague in may and they after they released the deposit in June they charged my credit card 2 times with 131 euros in 262 in October with no further explanation. Not even an email received and they said all was fine.

I blocked the card and filed a complain with my ICS card system.

PANEK is a company of crooks. More then two weeks after I returned my car without any demage and filled up, they charged my CC with 420 EUR and never even documented the claim and do not react on even formal request. I will file now a criminal complaint.

PANEK ist eine Firma von LUMPEN. Zwei Wochen, nachdem ich das Fahrzeug unbeschädigt und voll getankt zurück brachte, wurde meine CC mit 420 EUR belasted. Auf formelle Aufforderung zur Stellungnahme wird nicht mal reagiert. Strafanzeige wegen Betruges ist gestellt.

Be careful with this company, this is a tourists scam, they will charge you 1000 euro without any reason, for example i forgot a bottle on the baggage,they charged for cleaning, and then they said that the car was damaged althogh it was like that before with the signed report, but there is no one to speak with. Do not rent cars with them.
