IQ Academy is a spam

IQ Academy is a deeply untrustworthy operation that appears to rely on deceptive practices rather than legitimate value. What looks like a simple, low-cost one-time purchase for a report quickly turns into something far more questionable. After entering your card details, you may find yourself unknowingly enrolled in a recurring subscription—something that is neither clearly disclosed nor honestly presented at the point of payment.

This kind of setup feels deliberately misleading. Customers are led to believe they are making a straightforward purchase, only to later discover ongoing charges quietly being deducted from their bank accounts. That’s not just poor business practice—it’s unethical.

Any company that depends on hiding subscription terms and quietly billing customers without proper transparency deserves serious scrutiny. IQ Academy, based on this experience, shows a concerning lack of integrity and respect for its users. Proceed with extreme caution.

Refund request

My brother didn't know that this website describe trial for the test and took the test and it deducted money. However, till the time he knew it deducted small amount, he didn't know that it will deduct 49.99 SGD in 48 hours. He knew only I said it deducted my money because he accidentally used my virtual visa card. So, we want a refund because we didn't know about this. I only knew about this when I saw the notification from bank. And my brother is still under 18 years old. So, we want a refund. I let my brother contact the email of this website and nothing replied. And when I searched about this website, I found that this is scam although I don't want to believe. And as this is a critical period in my country, especially in economy, the amount you deducted is really my salary for this month. So, I surely want a refund. My brother has already contacted to your email. I hope you will respond for the refund. I hope you will do so. Thank you.

To the Support Team,

To the Support Team,
I am writing to formally demand a full refund of $49.99 SGD charged to my AYA Pay Visa card on 28 March 2026.
This charge was made under mislead and deceptive practices. The $49.99 fee was not clearly and conspicuously disclosed at the point of sale. Under international consumer protection laws (including the UK Consumer Rights Act, as your company is based on London), hidden subscriptions and "dark pattern" billing are illegal.
If a full refund is not processed within 48 hours, I will take following actions:
1. File a Formal Dispute (Chargeback): I have already alerted AYA Bank that this is an unauthorized and misleading transaction.
2. Report to Action Fraud (UK): Since your business operates from the UK, I will file a report with the National Fraud & Cyber Crime Reporting Centre.
3. Lodge a complaint with the CMA: I will notify the Competition and Markets Authority (UK) regarding your subscription traps.
4. Trustpilot & Social Media: I will join the hundreds of other victims in documenting this experience publicly to warn other consumers.
I expect a confirmation of the refund and the immediate cancellation of any associated subscriptions.

Regards,
Htet

Yeah it's a scam

Yeah it's a scam. Took one last year as they promoted it to be free and then completed 20 questions and they hit me with a small charge to see results which was fine because I consented to a small charge to see the results because I was curious and dumb. But what I wasn't made aware of was that they kept my card details to enroll me into a monthly subscription this month and now I'm battling to get my money back to an unknown month subscription that I didn't agree to. Also it's a weird coincidence how they've done this now that the wayback machine isn't available to check... But yeah, it's true what they say if you take/pay for an online iq test then you've already failed the test lmao. Scummy company that make up last minute rules on cancelling subscriptions so you won't notice a year later yikes!
I'm not using my name or actual email on here so they can't harass me to take this down

Test was fun

Test was fun, interface was great, took one star off because I was told it’d be free and turned out to be 1.95€ instead. Still, the email i received immediately after payment made it clear it was a subscription, had very clear steps on how to cancel it if desired, and was very easy to cancel too, so I don't understand the bad reviews; or rather I do and it’s user error.
