Carl and team were very professional & friendly and made every part of the process easy for my Mam. They listened to her needs and advised and guided her on what was needed. The work was of high spec and completed in a timely and professional fashion. One issue my mam had with the placement of wiring for the stairlift was rectified straight away. Carl also brought to our attention how to claim Vat back and helped us with our grant application to KCC. I can't recommend them enough. The down stairs toilet is bright and spacious and many vistors to the house have commented on the high standard of work. The stairlift works perfectly and most importantly my Mam is thrilled with the job and it gives us peace of mind. Thank you to all at Irish stairlifts and bathrooms for everything.

Cant trust them. I bought a second hand stairlift for…
I bought a second hand stairlift for €1645 which stopped every 3 to 5 times and my daughter could not rely on it so asked them to refund me and take it back which was my right. After they had it back they said it was working and decided to charge me €600 for fitting and removing. Any charges should have been discussed before the purchase. I started procedure at the small claim court, it went on for nearly 4 months in which time I could not buy another stair lift for my daughter who they knew had terminal cancer. They paid me back €1600 just before I got a court hearing date after keeping my money for nearly 4 months. They previously offered to refund 1000 as a full settlement so they could keep my 600 but I had to refuse or loose the 600. When things didn't go their way they were rude and made our lives stressful. I did not receive an apology. They did not visit my home before fitting the lift and say I should have moved a post before they arrived, untrue. They could not have known it was in the way and neither did I as they did not do a home visit first. They kept my money for nearly 4 months and returned it before going to court.

We appreciate your feedback, though we respectfully disagree with the portrayal of events outlined in your review.
We were asked to install a stairlift, which we did. We were told that a newel post on the wall would be removed to allow room for the lift. When we went to install the lift this was still in situ. We then went back to reposition the lift, our engineer was told when he arrived that the lift didn't work properly and that he should take it away. Our engineers found no fault upon inspection. Nonetheless, we complied with your request to remove the lift. We brought it back to the workshop and tested it again and still found no fault. The stairlift was later reinstalled in another customer's home without issue and working perfectly.
The reason that we offered 1000 euro was to cover expenses, installation and also 2 visits. We maintain that the lift was fit for purpose and in perfect working order, as evidenced by its successful operation elsewhere.
While we regret any inconvenience you experienced, we acted in accordance with our policies and obligations. We issued a full refund before your negative review was posted.
There was no apology issued as we stand by our actions and believe them to be fair and reasonable under the circumstances, and don't feel we acted in any way unfair.
We will have to agree to disagree on this one, Wendy. We are very happy to discuss this further if you would like to contact us directly.

Amazingly fast turn around as was urgent. Great communicating and installation. Great product, lost a star as the reconditioned units weren't even wiped down before given to us, had dead insects and strange marks on them. They did day they would replace a control due to this but you would expect a wipe down to be standard these days.

Work crews are friendly, tidy and professional
My wife had used Irish Starlifts to upgrade her parents' bathroom for mobility issues, and we were sufficiently impressed to get a quote for our own 2.5 bathrooms. The process was fairly painless. Carl came out and explained our options using catalogs and his phone. The work crews -- plumbers, a tiler and electricians were courteous, tidy and professional. We had to juggle the process a little to make sure we always had one working toilet and shower. It took less time than they had estimated, about two weeks (for three bathrooms). I highly recommend this firm.

Ciaran was very accommodating. Delivered mobility scooter and then took it back no problem when I realised I had ordered the wrong one. He arranged for me to demo a few at the shop and gave great instructions around care and use.

A reliable team and pleasant to deal with …
The stairs in this house has a number of turns so was not the easiest to work with. Paul was excellent - he explained things well, went through my options and did his best to get the lift installed as quickly as possible for me.
Oscar did the installation work and was very helpful and a neat worker. I needed help afterwards and again Oscar was reachable, efficient and attentive.
The house is old and there was no plug in the hall / landing. Again no problem - the electrician team came out and worked efficiently and cleanly.
The stair lift was being installed because of changed family circumstances and during a stressful time. The Irish stairlifts team helped make things easier which is appreciated.
