Really excellent

Really excellent. I left another well known company who were dreadful- poor communication, expensive, totally disorganised. Iris have been fantastic, really helpful and their latest engineer, Josh, was so friendly and helpful, he restored my faith in alarm providers.

Fast and Professional CCTV Installation

I contacted Iris VBS to install a CCTV system for my home and I couldn’t be more grateful for the excellent service and prompt set up. After a few weeks, all is working as desired and there have been no issues.

I truly would recommend them as I have nothing bad to say!

Great Service

The team at IRIS VBS were extremely helpful and provided an excellent service when I had some security requirements at my home. I couldn't recommend them enough! Ryan is brilliant and very efficient.

Fantastic from start to finish

Fantastic from start to finish, couldn't recommend them enough. From the initial stage with seeing what our requirements were, to installation, then the support afterwards, we have been very impressed with the service provided.

Outstanding Iris VBS

Iris VBS were brilliant from start to finish. We had a new fire system installed along with a new intruder alarm. The PM came to site and did a thorough survey, this was the followed by the installation team who were had excellent customer service skills and made sure we were completely satisfied before they left site. Would fully recommend them to anyone else

Excellent Service Would Definitely Recommend

We had an alarm installed in June, excellent service from start to finish. Kai who did the installation was very professional from start to finish. An extremely polite and very tidy worker there was no mess at all during the installation he went through the working of the system before leaving. Would definitely recommend the company.

Excellent Service and Product Quality

This is the 3rd office we have used Iris VBS for, on this occasion we used them for fire alarms and CCTV throughout our large office. The guys who came were friendly, considerate and knowledgeable. They were neat and tidy in the process as well which is quite rare. We are, as usual, very happy with the set up.

You can’t make this up – Be very wary

I prefer to write glowing reviews but unfortunately, I would struggle on this occasion.
In brief, Iris VBS acquired my contract/business on 01/04/22 from the previous security company, Contact Fire & Security (liquidated) who happened to have irresponsibility lost a vital element of my alarm system, the engineers code. Those in the know will be aware how importance this code is if amendments are required. I was made aware of this loss.

Having paid and contracted with Iris VBS from 01/04/2022 I requested help in December 22 to find a solution around the problem as amendments to the system were needed due to building work being carried out.

One would have hoped that help would be forthcoming, instead 9 months after contracting with me the Operations Director retrospectively issued Iris VBS T&C’s which were clearly in their favour and as such avoiding any responsibility. As these were issued by someone I assume was in authority, they were not issued in error.
A point to make is that Iris VBS had 5 separate opportunities to send me their T&C’s just after they acquired Contact Fire & Security in the 2 announcements I received, at the point, they issued me 2 separate invoices and when the alarm was serviced, but not once did they issue these.
Several conversations & several e-mails later I was given 2 options, 1. to charge me the full cost which was in excess of £1,400 to replace a panel which they now say is obsolete, and yet they were happy to “fix it” or 2. mutually agree to terminate my contract, a small rebate was offered of c. £40 but this option leaves me with a system not fit for purpose.

I would like to think it stopped there but it doesn’t; professionalism or customer focused service are not words I would associate with this company.
Their sales manager whilst having a call with me and in his own words, saying “I don’t want to waste more time on this” this being me the customer, and then proceeded to accuse me, of complaining, just to get a new system despite me offering to fund some of the solution. This is inexcusable behaviour. No wonder I was annoyed.

Now you may wish to retaliate Iris VBS as you did on your home page simply because you do not like to read the facts and these are facts, but the beauty of the many review sites is that existing customers who have experienced such appalling service can at least share those experiences with other potential customers.
It is all well and good having glowing reviews when you fit a system, but what really counts is the after-service care you offer and how you support them when help is requested. All I sensed was that the bottom line and money was the most important element in my dealings with you.
My issue is still unresolved, I am still in contract but would not recommend whatsoever dealing with this firm.

Thank you for taking the time to express your feeling, we take customer feedback very seriously.
In April 2022 Ventol Building Services acquire the assets and customer database of Contact Fire & Security whom you had your maintenance contract.

As has been discussed with you We have limited data and history with their client’s systems, we looked into what I can and have seen that there is some data since 2018, this states that they were maintaining your system using the client code every July from 2018 stating that there was no engineer access to the menu structure to allow system changes but were carrying out all necessary checks on the system and each visit in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 have recommended that this system is upgraded due to the limited access to it and its age.
Due to the fact, the system is wholly owned by you and has been advised for 5 years its needs replacement due to obsolescence.

We offered 1 of 2 things, the first option was to upgrade the system to a current panel to enable full servicing to be carried out on the system, and option 2 was to credit back your maintenance contract costs pro rata from today’s date.

Unfortunately, we had to disagree, you thought that we were solely responsible for your system being installed over 15 years ago by a different company, and the engineer who used to service your system and who had the engineering password passed away 10 years ago and wanted a completely free system upgrade at our cost.

Anybody that reads this review will hopefully understand we can't please everybody even though we try exceptionally hard to.

Great service - highly recommended

The Iris VBS team were very helpful when selecting the security system best suited to my needs. The de-installation of the old system and installation of the new kit went very smoothly and the engineer was very efficient. The follow up service has been great and I would have no hesitation in recommending them

Intruder Alarm & CCTV Installation

I recently had the pleasure of using Iris VBS Fire & Security to install an intruder alarm and CCTV system into my home. The engineers were professional and efficient, and took great care to ensure that everything was installed properly and that the system was working properly. They were very knowledgeable and were able to answer all of my questions.

The engineers were also very neat and tidy and cleaned up after themselves, leaving no mess or debris behind. They also kept me informed throughout the entire process, from the initial installation to the completion of the system and walking me through how to use the system apps.

Overall, I am very pleased with the service I received from Iris VBS Fire & Security. The engineers were professional, knowledgeable, and took great care to ensure that my system was installed and working properly. I would highly recommend their services.
