Big fan of ironpdf (and the support team!)

We started using IronPDF recently to automate statements and invoice generation for our business, and it has been a very positive experience so far.
The main thing we needed was a reliable way to create branded PDF documents at scale, and IronPDF has handled that well. Even larger files with 100+ pages generate smoothly, and the formatting stays consistent.
Our reports looks professional, which is important when sending documents to clients.
We also contacted support during setup, and the team was quick to respond and helpful in solving our issues.
It has saved us time and made our document worlflow much easier.

Licensing clarity was a big win

We evaluated Aspose and Apryse as well before deciding on IronPdf. In the end, IronPdf stood out mainly because the licensing terms were much clearer for our deployment model, especially around scaling and containerised environments.
Our engineers really don’t like ambiguity when it comes to how far we can scale or where we’re allowed to run the software, so that transparency made the e decision a lot easier.
From a developer experience standpoint, the setup was easy and didn’t require anything unusual. Getting it running in our existing infrastructure felt natural, without a lot of trial and error.
Another great thing is the support team, they respond quickly and helped us move forward with confidence. Great value!

Perfect for client proposals

We are an agency and needed a way to generate custom proposals on the fly. IronPDF nailed it. Our sales team inputs client details into a web form, and the system spits out a beautiful branded PDF proposal in seconds - complete with pricing tables, mockups, and terms.

Support team is phenomenal

I had a weird edge case with SVG rendinring in complex HTML templates. Reached out to IronPDF support, expecting a generic "check the docs" reply. Instead, an actual engineer responded in under an hour with a working code sample tailored to my issue. Problem solved same day. That level of support is rare. You are not just buying software but getting a team that actually cares.

IRONPDF: truly professional quality

We decided to adopt ironPDF for our reporting system, and it turned out to be one of our best decisions.
It converts HTML into high quality, pixel accurate PDF documents, headers, footers, fonts, and layouts are rendered exactly as intended.
Integrating it into our C# backend was straightforward, and the examples provided in the documentation made onboarding quick and easy.
It genuinely feels like a tool build by developers for developers, rather than a patched together solution like many other document APIs on the market.

IronPDF for E-Sign Documents

Our HR system needed a way to automatically generate and distribute employee contracts in PDF format.
Ironpdf did the job beautifully. It even handled digital signatures and form fields without extra plugins.
Now HR can create professional, compliant PDFs directly from our web interface. No extra work.
Love that it is a one-time setup that keeps running quietly in the background.

New user of IronPDF and IronXL - amazing combo

We build data-heavy dashboards in .NET and IronXL handles the excel import and calculations, then ironPDF takes over to produce elegant, branded reports for clients. There is no manual exports, no formatting issues. Just smooth automation from start to finish. This pair saves hours of repetitive work every week.

IRONPDF +IRONXL made my project look professinal

As a junior dev, I was nervous about generating Excel reports and Pdfs for a client project. IronXL helped me handle the data layer with ease.
Then IronPDF made those reports look polished and consistent. It is intuitive enough that I got everything working within a day. No steep learning curve.

IronPDF - Robust and Reliable

I have used multiple .NET PDF libraries, and IronPDF is by far the most stable and well-supported. Intuitive API. We generate thousants of documents daily for compliance reports, and not a single file has failed validation. It is powerful, accurate and surprisingly fast once cached. It is now a core part of our enterprise document pipeline.

Ironpdf and Ironocr: smart automation

We use both tools in a workflow where scanned documents come in, IronOCR extracts key text, and IronPDF rebuilds everything into searchable, indexes PDF’s. Huge upgrade from our old manual process.
OCR accuracy is way better than expected, even with low-quality scans.
If you are digitising old files - this combo is gold!

IronPDF is worth it

We were skeptical about paying for a pdf library, but after testing, it is obvious why it is premium.
HTML to PDF conversion is accurate, fast, and beautiful. It saved our dev team weeks of maintenance. The documentation is clear, teh API is elegant, and the output looks professional.
We will be sticking with it ling-term.

A few issues with renewal which got put right in the end

UPDATE: Iron Software senior management and their CEO have reached out and have gone some way to putting right the situation we found ourselves in through no fault of our own. They have made a genuine and fair offer to put right the situation, hence I have amended this review and rating.

We have had issues every year renewing our annual software support subscription for the Iron Suite of products and this year was no different. However in past years the team had fixed whatever the problem had been.

This year we had been sent a renewal notice for slightly more than double the price we paid last year, but despite this, we still went ahead and purchased the renewal.

On trying to use the license key it appeared to only be valid for one of the products. On contacting Iron software sales and licensing team they repeatedly insisted that there had been a mistake in previous years and that the renewal cost for Iron Suite should be 10x what we paid last year and that we would have to pay the difference or be left with no support. They kept insisting that we had been notified of the price increases back in November which simply was not the case and neither could they provide copies of of renewal emails showing the correct prices.

Had we known well in advance of the 10x increase we would have planned a move to an alternative software before being left without support / software updates. Obviously, no enterprise wants to run out-of-date software with no support and potential vulnerabilities.

The initial attitude and behaviour of the Iron software support team was one of non-compromise and contempt despite there clearly being issues on their side with communicating to their customers and billing and not the behaviour expected from a reputable company operating in the enterprise software market.

Thankfully senior management and the CEO got involved and made a genuine and fair offer to put right the situation, hence I have amended this review.

Iron Suite: A Win for Telecom Software Development

As a software engineer developing products for the telecom sector, integrating the Iron Suite into our workflow has been a win. Here’s my breakdown of the experience:
Pros:
IronPDF: Initially, my focus was on IronPDF for its PDF generation and management capabilities. It’s incredibly efficient for creating reports and invoices directly from HTML, which is pivotal in telecom software. The API is robust and integrates seamlessly with our .NET framework, enhancing our product’s document handling capabilities.
IronXL: This has been a standout for manipulating Excel data. Telecom software often requires extensive data processing, and IronXL allows us to handle Excel files efficiently, without needing Excel installed on the server. It supports a wide range of formats and has simplified data import/export features in our applications.
IronOCR: This was an unexpected asset. Our telecom software now efficiently handles scanned documents like invoices and extracts data, minimizing manual entry and errors. IronOCR’s accuracy and speed in text recognition have significantly improved our data processing workflow.
IronBarcode - IronBarcode helped us in adding more enhancements to our software by enabling it to detect barcodes of products. IronBarcode provides an easy-to-use API for reading and writing barcodes.
IronZip - Initially, IronZIP was just used for extracting telecom files. It really improved the performance for reading and fetching the customer data.
IronQR - IronQR is an efficient QR Code library that helped in simplifying the user requests such as signup, login and forgot password with user-friendly API for reading and creating QR codes in the telecom software.
Cons:
Complexity for Junior devs: The suite’s extensive functionalities come with a bit of a learning curve, especially for less experienced team, less familiar with advanced .NET concepts.
Overall Thoughts:
Choosing the full Iron Suite, which offers seven products for the price of two, has been extremely cost-effective. The suite’s functionalities are particularly well-suited for the telecom software we develop, offering solutions for PDF management, Excel manipulation, and OCR. This has not only saved us time and resources but also added significant value to our final products. It paid for itself in less than 3 months.
Recommendations to Others Considering the Product:
For software engineers in the telecom domain, the Iron Suite is a comprehensive, value-packed toolkit. It enhances the capabilities of telecom software, especially in areas like document management and data processing. Be prepared to invest some time in learning to get the most out of it, but the payoff in terms of product functionality and efficiency is well worth it.

A User-Friendly and Efficient .NET PDF Solution

In a recent project, we were tasked with developing a complex .NET application requiring extensive PDF operations. The challenge was to integrate a solution that was both efficient and reliable, without sacrificing performance. After a thorough comparison of different options, we selected IronPDF for our specific requirements.

We chose IronPDF for several reasons. Firstly, it's user-friendly and integrates smoothly with .NET, making it an ideal choice for our C#-based projects. The documentation and examples provided made it easy for us to start and effectively use the library in our application.

Its customer support is amazing and responsive. We had a few instances where we needed assistance, and the support team was always prompt in their response

Overall, my experience with IronPDF has been extremely positive. It's not just a tool that meets our needs; it's a solution that has become an integral part of our development process.

Best .NET library to create manipulate and edit PDFs

Two months ago I was assigned to perform a deep analysis of Ecommerce website Interfaces and document them by a client. It was a lot of manual work to take images of these websites and then put them into the word file. So I started looking to automate this process then I found IronPDF which completely met my requirements. Using IronPDF HTML to PDF conversion functionality I was able to complete a few weeks' worth of work in just two days.

Pros:
The API of IronPDF is straightforward and intuitive, making it easy for users to create and manipulate PDFs.
The PDFs generated with IronPDF have sharp text and clear images, making them look professional.
IronPDF offers a wide range of features including headers, footers, tables of contents, hyperlinks, and more.
IronPDF is fast and reliable, making it a great choice for generating large numbers of PDFs quickly and without errors.
The support team of IronPDF is very helpful and always available to answer questions.

Cons:
IronPDF is limited to .NET applications, so it may not be a suitable choice for developers using other platforms.
You have to pay to use or otherwise you will get watermarks in output PDFs.

I would highly recommend IronPDF for .NET developers to create, edit and manipulate PDF files.

Best Library to Extract Text from Images and Videos

Pros:

1. It works accurately and at speed for most images out of the box. I was implementing multithreading in my program, and their multithreaded and Async functions really help me alot to make use of multi-core processors.
2. It has made it very easy and accurate to extract text from Images. I have achieved 98%+ accuracy from very low resolution images.
3. It provides 127 languages including Urdu, Japanese, Korean, and many more.
4. It is compatible with all .Net Framework be it .Net Standard or .Net 7 pre-release, any Application type such as web, Mobile or Desktop and all operating systems including Linux, Mac, and Window.
5. It has comprehensive documentation. We will hardly need to contact their Support. I have tried to contact their support and they are amazing. I got a response within 10 minutes.

Cons:

1. I need to download a separate IronOCR Language package for each language to work with. For Example, if I am working with Urdu Language I need to download “IronOCR.Languages.Urdu”.
2. Speed is fast but can be improved with a little coding.

How Does It helps me?

1. I was given the task to enter about 1M records of the persons. Those records were listed in an image file. Language was Urdu. I have written a program using this library. I have written a program to extract text from a file and insert the record in the database. In this way 1M record was entered in the database within a few minutes, which would have taken a month if done manually.
2. Another problem it solved was reading the Number Plate of the Car. I have read the number plates using IronOCR.
