If I could give Checkmate zero stars

If I could give Checkmate zero stars, I would. This company has been a complete nightmare to work with. After over three months of trying to get my property onboarded, I finally had to cancel due to their utter incompetence and lack of communication. Despite being assured by their onboarding supervisor that they could get my property up and running within 24 hours, a week later, nothing had been resolved.

Now that my property is supposedly live, there are ongoing issues with their integration pulling item names from the wrong data field (the POS kitchen printer shorthand field). Instead of acknowledging their faulty mapping, they told me to change my setup to accommodate their mistake! It's clear they are not taking responsibility for their own errors.

On top of that, reaching their support team is a joke. Calls and tickets go unanswered, and the lack of professionalism is astounding. This company has proven to be unreliable, disorganized, and completely unwilling to provide adequate support.

If you’re considering Checkmate for your business, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They have wasted my time and caused nothing but frustration. Their inability to deliver on their promises and address obvious integration issues makes them an absolute disaster to work with.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! If you enjoy losing money and losing revenue for your company, then go for it!! This company is so slow and refuses to fix their mistakes on mapping. They will cost you hundreds and thousands of dollars and give you an excuse of "our engineering team is working on it" and "we are sorry for the inconvenience", meanwhile it's been 4 weeks of trusting this shady business that truly doesn't give a flying thought about the businesses they work and partner with. They just give you excuses that "all" businesses are experiencing the issue meanwhile there is NO recent bad experiences mentioning them, meaning it is just US!! experiencing this really sucky and depressing problem. This company WANTS your business to go out of business!

Try direction integration with third party and your pos

We sign up with Itsacheckmate in May 2023 and we still do not get all third party online getting printed till the customers notify us about their orders that has not be received. Even after months and months of integrations with Itsacheckmate we still get the same errors and orders that need to be entered manually.

Itsacheckmate has been in business since 2016 and they still not able to run smooth integration with Toast POS, I recommend direct integration with your pos or trying other online integration serivce like deliverect or chowley

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen. The pawn everything off on the restaurant and take responsibility for nothing and do nothing to help you. I’ll never use restaurant direct or any of their child companies ever again.

I signed up with them and then decided…

I signed up with them and then decided not to go forward. Initially the rep respected it and simply said sorry and we’ll refund your money to the card used to start the service. I let them know that particular card was stolen and their response was I’m simply out of my money to them. I want my money back.
