Very happy with the company's service

My experience with Itzala is at odds with several below. I ordered two Velux blinds from Itzala. One of them had a fault (one of the runner strings was snapped) and Roland at Itzala was great. No fuss or drama, he ordered another one to be delivered straight away and arranged for DHL to pick up the faulty one for return to Velux, sent address labels to attach etc. You may be able to get swifter deliveries elsewhere but I don't think at such a competitive price and in my case the service was first rate. Would definitely use them again.

Velux branded blinds at a great price

Really pleased with the Velux blinds I ordered. I saved over £114 by ordering them through Itzala rather than from the Velux website. Delivery was also fine as they arrived within the eight working days they had quoted.

Avoid at all cost..........................................

It isn't helpful that any returns have to be sent to Hungary at huge cost. My problem, however, is that despite giving the supplier the exact code from my Velux window, the blind didn't fit - the cords which the venetian roofblind runs down are far too short for the window, with no way of extending them. Oh, and the instructions are absolute rubbish. I tried Youtube to see if there was an installation video - naturally there wasn't. The cost of returning this piece of rubbish to Hungary from the UK was actually more than I paid for the blind. So it's an expensive ornament for my bin. I bought a Velux one for not much more and it was fitted in half an hour.

Good

Blinds arrived before agreed time. They do a great job in blocking light but don't look amazing. Installation instructions could be a bit clearer.

Total con

Over £500 spent on blinds, had issues with both of them and will not sort problems. Avoid!

Beware, be very careful, Tries not to operate under UK law!

This is not a UK firm and tries to operate outside of UK Law (the distance selling regulations). Their terms and conditions state Hungarian Law. However, any purchases made through the UK must operate under UK Law.

If things go wrong you will have a challenge. See other reviews.

Deceitful and hidden costs

Like the other reviewer here I bought a Velux blind from Itzala's website, roofblinds.co.uk. The colour wasn't what I wanted so I wanted to exchange it for a different product. But the cost of returning it was very high because Itzala are in Hungary. So they make returning goods difficult and pretend to be a UK company. Dishonest, bad service and I would not use them again.

Itzala does not state on the main website that it is an overseas company (Hungary) with no Returns address in the UK (there is a returns address in the very small print in the Terms and Conditions, but not in the ordering process).I have just had to pay £31 postage to return a blind which was the wrong size. I would not have used this company if I had known this could happen. I think this is very misleading.
